the furthest out from ovulation for BD that you know of that resulted in pregnancy?

e.g BDing 3,4,5,6 days prior to ovulation

curious to hear of anyone 4+ days prior

How funny ... due to my partners work (interstate truckie) he is gone all week, and is only home on weekends. Of course, weekends, I am getting over running around for the kids all week, but we BD'ed one particular weekend back in October, about 5 or 6 days pre ovulation ... we weren't exactly trying to get pregnant (we'd actually given up trying a couple of months before hand!), but if it happened, all was good .... a few weeks later ... BFP!

My thoughts behind it all too was the theory where if you conceive early in your cycle, you are more likely to have a girl (which is what we are now hoping for, but either way, we will be happy!)

awesome just what i wanted!! so it can happen that far out!! i know they say sperm can last up to 7 days but never heard of it actullay happening to someone!! thanks!

Hey mountain mummy do you think it works the same the other way say 5 or 6 days after ovulation?

Nah, it wouldn't happen the other way coz the egg only survives for 24 hrs.
