I don't think there is a best time really. I tend to check when I go to the loo, but do a proper CM & CP check when I have my shower (although I do it only as O is approaching). I do find that for me it's better to check of an evening, as that way it's the longest time after BDing. This way there is less "leftovers" to confuse with CM IYKWIM.
Thanks for your replies ladies. You're right, no best time.
Checked this morning and not much stretchy stuff.
Just checked when I last went to the loo today and guess what - I got the stretchy stuff, yep EWCM (haven't DTD for a while so no confusion), and it is only CD12. If I kept to my usual pattern of only checking in the morning I would have missed it.
Looks like I am on track for a 28 day cycle. That acupucture sure seems like it is doing the trick (fingers crossed!!!).
I seem to remember reading that you should check several times a day. I used to check whenever I went to the loo - but I suppose morning, midday and night would be ok
Hi ticklish,
Been doing some reading into CM because mine has been strange this cycle!
Apparently, the best time is after a bowel motion because it pushes the CM down IYKWIM.
So, if you are a "first thing in the morning once a day" kinda person, I am guessing that is why the morning might be the best time!
GIDGET
Gidget, you are spot on!!!! I am a "first thing in the morning once a day" kinda person.
I just KNEW there had to be a reason that there was more in the morning.
I just thought it was a hormonal thing, or that there was more there because it hadn't fallen out at various times of the day. Never thought it was a motion thing.
Sally - yes I realise that it varies. Found that out this cycle when the EWCM first appeared in the afternoon and wasn't there in the morning.
So basically, the BEST time is after a motion, and otherwise check at various times during the day to see if there is any changes.
