Well it has been 12mths now since we have been TTC#2. AF hasn't arrived yet but my temp took a dive this morning, so I am certain I am out. So next cycle will be #13. I have been brave for the past 12mths, but when I saw the temp this morning, for the first time, I got tears. It hit me hard. I am not angry, just sad and want to know why. Why did DD only take 4 cycles to conceive and #2 is proving so difficult.
For those that don's know, I did have a BT 3mths ago to check that I am ovulating and to also check certain hormones, thyroid etc and all was perfect. I also had a pelvic scan which showed everything to be normal.
I am thinking I will make an appointment with my Obstetrician (the one I had during DD's pregnancy) but I have heard it may be a bit of a wait, so I was thinking maybe seeing a naturopath aswell.....
Can someone please give me some advice as to whether this is the right thing to do. And can anyone recommend a Naturopath in Sydney?
how frustrating it must be for you did you DH get checked just in case just wondering
But Ild recommend acupuncture there are one who specialise in fertility check them out and see what they say My friend husband runs his own clinic and works with people trying to conceive and has a high success rate.
Good luck TTC and hope it all goes well for you I had trouble conceiving this baby took months and it got me down but I got their finally so sending you on some sticky baby vibes
nadine, i too would suggest getting the ball rolling toward seeing an FS. there are some things that GP's can help with (like clomid etc) - even if you're ovulating, it can add to your chances of success by helping the egg to mature.
i guess i'd recommend moving forward to looking at options as it's a long-ish wait for appointments - you can always cancel an appointment when you get a BFP - can't always get an appointment quickly if you need it...
NP and AP are good suggestions too - hoping that they ccan help you with a BFP very soon
I got the name of a goo acupuncture place so I will give them a go. They are meant to be quite successful in resolving fertility problems. Can't hurt to try. I also got the number off a naturopath.
My other friend has recommended an FS to me (her friend and she used him). Apparently he is well known (been on channel 9 etc). I haven't phoned yet but I will be in the next couple of days. Being so well known I am guessing he may have a long wait.... I guess I will find out.
Another question, how much does an FS charge? I know the price would vary as to what you are going through (procedures etc) but what does an initial consultation approximately cost?
Mine was about $160, I think from memory - but you get some of it back on medicare (about 90-100ish).
Also you need to get a joint referral from your GP. That's how we found our FS.
