I got the implanon removed on 20th June, i had had it in for about 7 months. I got AF the same night i had it taken out, it lasted for 5 days, was quite normal for me.
Now, i am on CD52. My cycle was usually 28-31 days, so never this long. I have no idea if i've O'd or not. We BD'ed on CD14, 23 & 47. I POAS between days 26 and 46 all of them were BFN. I have had nausea, cramping, been really tired, but i am also sick with giardia, so that would explain that. But i have also had sore boobs and acne has come out on my chin which has happened in all my pregnancies and never any other time.
Oh and yesterday i felt my cervix and it was very low and quite firm, i'm not sure what that means though.
I really have no idea what is going on. I would rather not go see the GP just yet. So would love any ideas/advice etc from you lovely ladies. My FF chart is also in my sig if you want to have a look too.
Sorry to hear about all your strange symptoms.....if it was me, I'd be inclined to go see the GP sometime soon. It wouldn't hurt just to get an opinion. Besides, how much sore boobs can you take???
Had a look at your chart - shame you're not doing BBT (a big hassle, i know ) as it can give a clearer picture... What you describe happened to me ON the minipill and when i came OFF depo, except that all the time i was on depo i spotted and i went right on spotting (no defined AF though) for months afterwards.
Were you having AF on the Implanon? And if so were you due one when you had it removed?
If not i'd assume that the bleeding you had the day after it came out was withdrawal from the hormones in the implanon and just now your body is having a think about what comes next. Implanon prevents the lining thickening? Yes? So it could be that your body is trying to build a decent lining for the first time in a while and it's taking some time. I wouldn't worry too much but you might want to see a GP and have a BT done to see if you're PG (anything's possible right!?) or if you need some sort of kickstart to get you cycling again. As i say, it's not at all rare to have this coming on/off contraceptive medicines so i wouldn't be too worried, it's just really annoying trying to wait it out!
For ME (only for me) a low hard cervix means AF is soon (within 5 days) but mine goes up and down all day so it's only if i consistently check it everyday at the same time that i can read a meaning into what it's doing.
