What is going on!! AF??

SPuddle-I got no idea about areas other then my own...lol.. i like to venture out but get lost to easy.. so i stay close to home!

Renee i do hope you can get a blood test...just to ease ur mine. Our bodies can and do often play nasty tricks on us. Esp if ur cycle isnt a 28 day or regular. My body was like clock work...on and off the pill. Yours might have another idea!!

Catherine- As soon as i seen raincoat i cracked up.. i love that term for condoms!!

OMG- off topic again but i just realised my princess in 7 months today!!!!!! Aw she not my baby girl no more.. she is gettin to big :(

When i first came off the pill it took over 6 months for my body to get back into a regular cycle... what a pain! When i came off the injection, i didn't get my period for close to two years and i wasn't even ovulating - i was offered hormone shots after the first year.

I've heard after coming off the injection ( i never had it ) it can take ages and ages for periods to come back.... that would have been hard for you...!!

I've been on BCP's for 8 yrs and always had regular 28 day cycles before i went on them and now i'm off, the previous 2 cycles were 28-30 days long so its strange that this one is now 32 (i think..?) well, i'm 4-5 days late based on the last 2 cycles anyway and I feel different. my body feels different to ever before... and you are probably right, it's just hormones going back to normal etc... i should just be glad that my periods are back and I'm not one of those people that have to wait years etc....
I do believe I ovulated day 11-16 anywhere between then... and i think it was about 2 weeks ago that we didnt use a "raincoat" as Catherine explains it... so yeah, was probably around the time i was "O"ing... but yeah chances are slim if it happens from that... i know it's a rare chance i would be... thats why i never got my hopes up to begin with!!!! but this thread didnt help, made me feel even cluckier

ps strange that I felt like i was going to vomit for like 2mins then it passed.... (like dry-reached kinda?) - just talking to myself just dont answer that thanks !!

That's not true Renee... We love your posting.. it gives me something to look forward to in my sad little life I was a 26day cycle before BCP regular to day dot... I can't remember what happened exactly when I came off BCP's because it was 4 years ago? But I remember I didn't go back into a regular cycle again until over 6 months... but I think I might have had some random bleeding.. but nothing normal - I hope that yours isn't like that though Renee... It would be great if you were pg! I just don't want you to be disheartened if your not, I read so many girls truly believe they are pregnant but it's just their bodies tricking them and then they feel like failures and feel it's never going to happen for them.... But it does always seem to happen when you least expect it!

Sorry we made u clucky Renee.... i get so excited when ppl have a late AF or suspect a pregnancy....god help me once this bub is born....ill wanna be preg again..LOL

We probably are not pregnant, because we werent' even TTC!! that's the thing! And we have been careful (most of the time)... so i can't be disappointed and feel that it will never happen as I know it will happen when it's meant to...

:lol: i've been wanting to be pregnant for so long now that I know I can wait a few more months... hopefully be pregnant by December that's the plan!!! I know it may take longer though but I think if I give myself 4-6mths that's being realistic... based on my age and supposing my and DF's fertility is all in tact etc... touch wood never had any problems so far with health etc

We were TTC with Chelsea... but i kept getting BFN.. so i said lets wait.. took the pressure off DH to give me a boy...stopped trying and then it happened....so i think if u stress about it... the chances are it wont happen... but when u let nature take its time...it will!

I have undoubtly very high fertility... not sure if thats good or not... but it ment i didnt have to wait around for long.. 3 months for Chels.. and then hmm 4-6 weeks with this one. But next time ill *try* to be careful... in sayin that... this bub was NOT an accident... it was very much planned. It was a 'If it happens it happens, if not it will when the time is right'. And the time was right :)

Hope u find out something soon Renee, horrible that u have to feel this way and not know wats going on :(

Kimbaz, I agree completely! I think whatever is meant to be will be.... my sister had the same attitude and she fell pregnant immediately! I think nature will take it's course at the time when it's meant to.... "divine timing" I am a true believer in...

In saying all that though, it's not easy waiting around for either your AF to arrive or for a +ve on a HPT! It's just hard waiting for a result or some answer... it's very frustrating... esp with the wedding coming up too, I had planned that I would probably be "O"ing around that time!!! But now my cycle is all wrong!!!
I feel lucky in that i've always been pretty regular with AF before and after BCP's so i'm not worried about myself in that way... I'd just like to know if I am getting AF or not that way I can start to have a rum and coke again!!! :P
ps I am NOT a heavy drinker!! I just like a drink at night with my dinner :)

Anyway, time will tell....let's hope I can find out within the next 24-48hrs :)

Hi...just wanted to comment about the raincoat issues. It may seem unlikely to fall pg without trying and so quickly after coming off pill, but fact is it happens all the time! Only takes one little wiggler to get through.....
Hope you get the answer you want, but don't stress either way, you've got heaps to look forward to in the next few months. Having said that, you know your own body, and all those symptoms, who knows?

Just wanted to tell you that the doctors here at PH hospital are fantastic, as are the midwives. I found everyone really easy to talk to. Like you, I prefer a female doc, but the male OB here was awesome, felt really confident with him. This was especially important cause I had some dramas ending in an emergency CS, and my baby being transferred to Perth via Flying Doctor. Very very scary, but thankfully all worked out, and as I said, the staff were fantastic. Thought you might like to know.;)

I just got home from a day of looking at PINK things!!! I only ended up buying one thing because it was a bit overwhelming! I bought a pastel pink dummy!!! I'll be looking at more girl things 2moro - DP said he'd take his girls shopping! WOOHOO!!

aww thanks Beaksie... you are giving me a slight piece of hope to hang on to! To be honest, it would be better if i was preg rather than AF arriving however either way doesnt matter... (honestly)... but yeah i have heard that too, that lots of ppl fall pregnant with just one spermie getting in there so it does happen, miracles happen all the time in life... who knows... it's all "timing" right?

I stopped working only recently and thank god too because i am so tired all the time, i don't know how i'd be working all day, i wouldn't cope! I've kind of been sick since being preg, not really symptoms but at first, i felt like i was going to faint all the time (i'm anaemic) and then i got the flu really badly, i thought i had glandular fever! Then i got this skin rash that doctors thought were shingles, which i'm just getting over now, so i've been falling apart! I sleep 12 hours a day now, whether i have a nap or its a 12 hour night sleep, i'm crazy for sleep!!!

It's all worth it though!

Beaksie - oh that's good news!! I think I'd rather go to PH than Perth. No, make that definitely rather go. I'm sorry to hear about your little baby, but if they can cope well with that, then they'd be awesome :))

Just remember life happens when you are making plans. I came off BC to time AF to happen before honeymoon, I ended up PG instead. Didn't know at the time and drank lots and had lots of fun. Just hope everything with Bub is ok. I suppose the trauma I have put him/her through means they are a keeper. I took it up a mountain to high altitude, drank to excess, ate soemthing dodgy which gave me upset tummy.
Nothing I can do about it now, juse hope for the best.

Anyway I hope you get some answers too. Remember, August is only 1 month away.

Charlotte, i'm sure your lil' bub will be just fine :) I had a rum and coke tonight :lol: as I didn't want to miss out on a drink with my dinner! hehe I think with a baby in your belly, it probably takes the nutrients it needs and rejects what it doesn't need/want... i truly believe that but in saying so, anything in excess ALL the time wouldn't be very good for bubs or you KWIM? I wouldn't worry about it at all :) All that worrying would be for nothing in the end anyway... like with what i'm going through, no point worrying about it all...

So I thought I was getting AF and maybe just missed O, or maybe I'm one of those ppl who never gets ewcm which would be really frustrating coz I couldn't be bothered with temping and was just going to rely on that. But she's not here now so I dunno what the cramping was about.

I have no news to tell you other than that I haven't tested since Thursday (because i don't see the point!) and no cramping, but I do have fair bit of CM discharge and the type you get when you are "O"ing KWIM? So yeah, that's my update.... I'm also extremely tired, very sluggish and just want to go back to bed and last night I slept for 9hrs and it was a good sleep so don't know what is up with me. Where is this AF?? She's nasty this month..
