    What now??

    Hi all

Well i have had my laparascopy and Hysteroscopy procedure. Doctor has told me that all is well and nothing wrong. I am due to go back and see my gyno in 4 weeks.
I am relieved that they didnt find anything abnormal, but unsure as to what happens next.
Does anyone know what the next step is?? Do we just keep TTC.

    Thanks

Thats great news that nothing is wrong. I'm sure you are relieved. How long have you been TTC? Are you seeing a specialist? If so the next step will be analysing your partners sperm if he hasnt already done so and talking to you about the best drug that will help you TTC. In my case this was Clomid.. and then Metformin. Depending on your age, some specialists go straight to IVF.

Best wishes! I hope it goes well.

Well husband's sperm has already been tested and they have come up extremely well. (doc said he was dangerous) - He loved that.

According to blood tests and OKP i do ovulate.
Have been trying for about a year, and am 31 years young.

I wonder if IVF is an option??

    Sammy -

That's good news about both you and DH.

I'm not sure what your doc will recommend but he/she may offer you some form of assisted conception. There's a wide range of options and sometimes you don't need to go to IVF straight away (you can have artificial insemination for instance). It would depend on your circumstances though.

Read up about assisted conception as much as you can if you haven't already. It will give you an idea of what options are out there and then you can discuss it with your doctor if you like.

    Kind regards,

    Melissa

    Hi Sammy,

Thats great news that the Dr found nothing wrong.....my gyno recently told me that there are several groups when it comes to fertitlity issues and the group where they can't find anything wrong is the best group to be in.....

I too am at the same stage as yourself (and also 31) I recently had all of my checks done and so did hubby and everything came back fine.

My gyno has me booked in next week for AIH - he doesn't have me on clomid or anything as yet he said we will give it ago this way this month and see how it goes.

    Hi guys,
We have been TTC and starting to think about both of us getting tested. How long were you trying to TTC before your tests??

Dan generally they will not do any testing until you have been TTC for 12 months. If you are over 35 it's around abouts 6 months.

If you really want to be tested, you can always tell them that you have been trying for 12 months, how would they know?
It also depends on your doctor as well, your age and maybe even your "cycle" - if its irregular then they may do tests anyways.
