Question royal jelly - seeking advice

I've just starting taking royal jelly capsules after seeing some online chatter about its potential fertility benefits. I'm taking 2 capsules a day but I'd just like to know a bit more about what works and what doesn't.

If you feel that taking RJ helped you successfully conceive, did you take the caps or the liquid? If you took the caps, did you take them together and/or with meals? And what do you think is better, caps or liquid?

I have an appt with a gyno mid-May as my cycle is really out of whack after DS2 - looong CD and Oing is possibly not as it should be. DS1 was conceived on Clomid (DS2 was natural), so the ObGyn may suggest Clomid again. I'd rather a natural conception, but hey, whatever works. We won't be going beyond Clomid though - we have two beautiful boys, so a third would be a blessing. I'm hoping taking Royal Jelly might help with my cycles - I hear it helps to balance hormones - and help us TTC.

Any thoughts or comments on RJ most welcome!

    Hey,

Mine is a slightly different story to yours but I'll share anyway, coz that's how I roll

I took the Fresh RJ when I was doing my IVF cycle. My FS and naturopath recommended it to me. My FS told me that anecdotally, people who have taken fresh RJ have some of the best looking embryos that he's seen. I took it for 2 weeks during the first part of my IVF cycle up until egg collection. We got 8 beautiful embryos fertilised and one of those was transferred and the result of that is snoring in my bed right now

Great stuff!! I'd take it fresh though to be honest, my naturopath always told me that fresh or liquid is better quality. Slightly different to what you're going through but a success all the same

    xx

    Hey Andie,

I was reading this thread earlier so it may help you understand a bit more about it - here

Check with some of the IVF girls, I know a few of them have used it successfully.

Thanks MammaSue - lovely to hear you have a sleeping beauty nearby too!
Thanks for the link Elocin, appreciate it. Will check it out now.

OK, next question - the capsules say they contain "fresh royal jelly", but do you mean fresh, non-capsule stuff. The only RJ I could see was capsules and the liquid.

Hmmm, the stuff I took was actually like honey in consistency - didn't taste like it though UGH!

It came in a little tub. Was really expensive too - $22 for around 50ml. Worth it though.

Cheers - the capsules I got are unadulterated, 1000mg of fresh royal jelly from an Australian company. Unfortunately there's no instruction on "how" to take them though, so I'm taking them with food - cos it seems that's how "most" health things are meant to be taken!!
Will see how it goes and might try the liquid next, or try and find the tub as per your post
