Talking Woo Hoo we're TTc #3 (or 2 technically)

I wasn't too sure where else to put this but DH and I have finally agreed to start TTC our next baby.

I think he did it out of pity really because he wanted to wait another 6 months but I broke down into a sobbing mess and explained that it took 2 years and 3 losses before we managed a successful full term pregnancy AND my risk factor goes up a notch as I turn 35 next year AND I have been pregnant and/or BF more times than not since 2007 and selfishly I want my body back and no longer be trying to sustain anothers life for too many more years (I know that sounds horrible but I am sure you know what I mean).

I have been using the home OPK with NO luck apparently last cycle I didn't O at all, I was testing morning and night from the first day after AF stopped and yet I still had a visit 2 weeks ago

I don't know if anyone has had much luck with those tests?

I really really want a baby boythis time, our chances are very slim, his brothers all had girls and we've had 2 in a row, BUT if we have another girl I already have a name picked AND I can fish out all the gorgeous clothes DD had again

    Anyways.

So here we are again, I will try to pop in and say g'day and keep peeps posted, all my FB friends SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I cannot stress that enough, we are not telling anyone we are trying because we have so many issues holding on to pregnancies and our MC/Loss rate is WAY up there.

    it happens soon.

    Very exciting news hun!!

What brand OPKs are you using?? I've only ever got Forelife OPKs to work for me, but plenty of girls find the eBay ones good too.

Yay! How exciting. Ebay LH tests work fine for me, but I never get a test line darker than the control.

I totally understand about wanting your body back I also can't wait (well, it's exciting and I will enjoy it, but...) to get my body back for just me.

    Thanks Elocin

The Ebay ones LOL, I am sick of wasting money on them ... well it feels like a waste I have bought and used over 150 of them so far. As for takign my BT.... its so hard DD wakes at different times of the night or I wake up needing to piddle (sorry TMI) a few hours before we get up and the digi therm says at least 3 hours of rest? pffft as if

If OPK' don't work for you, have you considered one of those saliva microscopes? They work even when you are dog tired . And maybe a trip to the GP to get a CD21 prog test just in case the OPK's were working?

Hopefully your journey this time is shorter!

How exciting! I hope it happens nice and quick!
What OPK are you using? I was using ebay cheapies that never gave me a definite positive. Switched to the First Response ones and found they were much better.

    Good luck NaeNae!

I used lullaby conception OPKs & had success. I had many unsuccessful cycles, then decided to use OPK's & BBT and conceived that cycle.

My DS woke at random times too. You can use a BBT adjuster to adjust your temp so that it is more accurate. I just googled it. You take your temp as soon as you wake. Then enter your temp and the time you took it and the time you should have taken it. Since I didn't have a regular time, I just picked one and adjusted all my temps to that time. It worked for me. Of course the two days after getting a +ve OPK, DS was sick & I was up most of the morning so I didn't get to take my temp those two days but there was still an obvious rise following that.

    woohooo!!!

The best time to do an OPK is once a day, around 2pm. Make sure its nice and yellow wee and dont over saturate the stick.

Oh Nae, so happy for you!! I'm wishing you all the luck in the world and lots of sticky vibes!!

I used Clear Blue digital OPKs and would highly recommend them. Expensive, granted, but no guess work. See if you can get them cheaper online, they're awesome. We also used Pre-seed (sperm friendly lube). Worth a shot as well.

    Good luck hon!!
