i just gave up breastfeeding my 17 month old DD and the doc gave me a script for the pill (not mini pill). the thing is we are gonna try for another baby in may (after i am a bridesmaid for friends wedding, plus i need a few extra months to loose my last 7 kgs). so that is 4 months away. is it worth going on the pill for that time? can i still go on the mini pill ( i am midway through a packet) and be safe?

Not too sure, but I guess if you're on the pill in some form, it would work? Although I think with the mini pill it has to be taken at the same time every day.

Personally I wouldn't, if you are used to charting to get pg you can chart to avoid pregnancy too, that is what I have done since 1998 (when I went off BCP and it took months to get a normal cycle).

If you're not a charter, I would just use condoms, it's only 4 months.
