    Air fryers

Does anyone have one? Are they any good?

Looking for a healthier alternative to deep frying, I can never get oven baked chips right and they taste terrible!

    So are they worth getting?

    Thanks

I have one from Target. It's a Phillips that I got for 40% off.
I wouldn't say it's the best on the market (it's one of the cheapest) but we love it. I use it for oven bake chips, home made chips, things like spring rolls/dim sims that I'd normally do in the oven. I've even been doing 'roast' potatoes in it. It's easy and reasonably quick. We love it.

We have the Actifry and love it. We use it a few times a week, but just for vegies here. You can use it for other things. Mostly we do 'roasted' vegies in it - much quicker and a better result than we get in the oven. Chips are good too.

We have the Philips one too. It's the only way DH can successfully do roast veges! Ours replaced our deep fryer, so the chicken nuggets and chips etc that would have gone in the oil now go in the air fryer. It's really good for sausages too.

Wow I didn't realise you could do
Roast veggies etc in it, do they come out nice and crispy??

Yeah they do surprisingly. DH also did big jacket potatoes in it the other night and they turned out just like the ones you buy with all the fillings. The air fryer is one of our best impulse buys.

i don't have one, but in the oven you need it really hot to get chips crispy.
