Four Slice Toaster

We need a new toaster. We currently have a 4 slice toaster and want to get a new one as this one is not really doing the job anymore. It's quite old.

Any recommendations? I would love a 6 slice toaster, doubt they exist

I have just replaced our old 4 slice toaster with a Morphy Richards one....so far it is really good. I like that it is 2 independant toaster so I can put 2 slices in one side and cook and then if another kid comes along I can then put 2 slices in the other side, ITMS.

It also has a defrost and reheat button which are handy. Cost $99.

I got a good 4 slicer with a few features from KMart for about $20.

I've had a Breville stainless steel one for years, it has a Reheat, crumpet and defrost function. I think it 's an Ikon one and was around $120?

I'm looking for one too! The new Sunbeam I think it is looks really good but it's pricey - $180 I think. It looks great because it has the two separate elements that I want. But the price is putting me off.

Ausgirl - has yours got two separate elements and controls or is it all combined?

I saw the Morhpy Richards one today at Costco it was under $80! Might go back and take another look. I have googled around and noticed a Red one coming in....I love Red appliances.

We have the Morphy Richards one too, have had it since last July, no problems with it. We have ours in the blue colour. It's great. There is an online electrical store that I got it from, had free postage at the time, let me just think.....Billy Guyatts - just checked they have the red one for $76.90. They were really efficient to deal with too.

My Morphy Richards has the separate elemenst.

I orginally bought the K Mart special and it was horrible....only cooked one side of the bread so I wouldn't be recommended theirs.

I'm now hanging out to get the matching Morphy Richards kettle......if only I could get my kettle to die I would be right.

I generally go to Costco on a Thursday or Friday and get there by 10am. I would be more than happy to have you as a guest so you can check it out!

We bought a cheap one from Target 4 years ago and it has been fantastic. It has the 2 separate elements and only cost $60 ish. With 8 people in the house, it definitely gets a work out!

We just got a 4 slice breville ikon one a couple of months ago. Little did I realise how handy a 4 slice would be compared to a 2 slice! It has a lift and look button which I like so you can check out how the toast is going without stopping it.

I'm not sure about a 6 slice but I do know there are 8 slice toasters, not sure if they are in normal department stores, but you can look at commercial/industrial toasters.

For $430 it would want to put the bread in, toast it, butter it and serve it up to the table though!

When I think about it, my toaster does require me to pop and turn the bread! I don't eat must toast though so it doesn't really bother me.
