Yay! I reckon go the ice-cream attachment, I have my mind on that for this summer. I also want to get the mincer, large tray and sausage maker bit at some stage. I looooove pasta, but the little'uns are rubbish at long pasta, it's all spirals and bows here (and no, I'm not making sheets and then hand making the bows on a regular basis ).

Oh! Get the small bowl! For things like mousse - I just scrape the bowl out and rinse, and it really is no hassle, but it would be handy.

hope they are still that price after house settles - i hate waiting when i can see a bargain (esp as the local HOUSE has just put their prices up to 779)
Wow Dont they realise that people are never going to buy them from there if they arent just a little bit competative?
My kitchen is pretty neutral in colour so if we ever re-do it i'll just have to pick the colours basen on my KA

Lisa - wooohoo, congrats on your purchase, now we should get together and have KA cookoff parties!

PakRacMG - i love that red colour, is that the candy apple one? its sooo awesome!

Mrsmac - you are making me want to get the blender too but since i hardly use the one i have i might have to save up for the toaster although i do think that $300 for a toaster is pretty excessive, i mean it only toasts bread. Its not like it bakes it first too lol.

Nelle - i thought about getting another bowl and i probably will as lots of baking things require 2 lots of mixing and i hate washing up in the middle!

Has anyone bought any attatchments from America to use here? Stupid question but they would fit wouldnt they cause although the americans have different voltage things the actually rest of the machine would be the same wouldnt you think???I'm going to look into it and price shipping too and see if its much cheaper as i want so mant extra bits and pieces.

I have the special edition candy apple red that I got for my b'day but don't use it anywhere near enough. Thanks for all the ideas and sugggestions, MrsB26 I would think that the attachments would be the same but might be worth emailing KA to find out?

OMG, i just saw the pasta press attachment and what it can do - yummmmmmmo

If i get one of those, does that mean i dont need the 3 set one that rolls out the pasta or do i still need one of those to work the pasta first? Sorry, i have no idea about pasta making?

Awwww I'm sooooo happy to read the love with KA. I have a K5 (the semi commercial one) in empire red. The attachments I use the most are the Pasta press and the mincer. Those are my favourites. I know the pasta rollers are popular as well, but I prefer the pasta press ( I know Rouge may not possible agree...). My DD's both help when we make pasta in the press, the rollers are too complicated for them and they can't help right now.

I use my KA around 5 times a week I also use the rotor slicer shredder a bit when I can't be bothered dragging out the food processor to chop up and grate vegetables. Its easy to use and wash up.

how does it compare to a food processor in what you can do with it Christy? DH really wants a food processor (he killed the last one he used it so much) - but i don't want to get one if the KA does the same thing - we've survived without it over a year now so it can't be THAT crucial lol
