I am - but through my hubby.
Last time I signed up and he tagged along, this time he's signed up and I'm tagging along.
Then we'll have dude and girl recipes :)
I want to lose 15kg this round.
What's your goal?
When does it start?
2 days til Pre-Season, then the 12 weeks starts on August 11th. I'm really looking forward to it!
I'm aiming for a 20kg loss, but I have no idea what that will look like on me, so may re-assess later on. I'm not really concerned about numbers on a scale, more my clothes size - I'd like to be a size 10 I think. Currently I am a 14 top and 16 bottom. I would love to wear knee-high boots and some Black Milk - and look damn fine in it! ;)
Bring it on, time to work towards getting my dream body!
PN my goals are to lose around 10 kgs but a bit like PP I'm more concerned about learning new habits and what clothes feel like on me too. I'm a size 12 top 14 bottom but I'm only 5'1 so I look and feel frumpy. My belly fat is awful and I'm nearly 37 and concerned about typeII diabetes because my dad has it so just want to improve my habits and the way we all eat. DH is tagging along too but he needs to read the site because yesterday he goes well cook something now stop talking about it haha! I also have the 10km run to do and am determined to run it non-stop and feeling great!!!!
Even though it doesn't officially begin for a few weeks I'm tracking on MFP, sticking to 3 meals and 2 snacks, cutting back on coffee, upping water and exercise!
So excited and determined!!!!!
Would love to do another round, but hard to justify another $200. So this time around will use what meal plans I have, I have to modify me exercising due to my pelvic floor, so can't follow the 12WBT ones anyway.
Bummed this past couple of weeks. Heavy work load, MIL here, lots of stress. Am too afraid to weigh myself and I was doing so well. Just need to look at it like a holiday from the program and just pretend that I am 2 weeks behind everyone else. Pity I can't do that with my official weigh ins.
I'm a bit worried to weigh myself too ... I've been really sick for a few weeks now, and the last couple of weeks, I've just wanted sugar ... haven't been eating heaps, but most of what I've been having has been pretty bad. Ice cream to soothe my throat, biscuits, etc. Not good.
But then I've had flu and stomach flu, so I'm not sure how much has actually been retained ... so maybe there's been a loss, albeit not for the right reasons.
I still haven't got to the gym since not breaking my toe in May  but between work and home life, there honestly hasn't been much of a chance. And its hard to be motivated to go there on the one night I could (theoretically) come home and have an early night ... one trip to the gym just isn't going to make a difference.
So I need to get back to basics - packing my gym stuff, leaving at 5pm, and going straight there.
Wish me luck.
And health!
I'm going to jump in here to get back in the zone :) I have signed up for round 3 and don't want to fail like I did in round 1!! Looking forward to the official start.
Astrid don't beat yourself up hun - you know what you need to know, just try and get back into those habits again hun xoxox
PN - Being sick is awful - I know I should keep going but I crave terrible food and just want to sleep when Im sick. I have been sick today and came home early from work and have done nothing all day. The exercise thing is hard for me too - I am working F/T now and going to the gym on the way home is one option or else I just have to go the minute I get home from work or else I won't go. How many days a week of exercise does she recommend once the 12 weeks starts??? What exactly is the super Saturday workout?? I think I might need to get a HRM.
You're supposed to exercise 6 times a week. I only managed to do a proper work out (ie: not counting a 10 minute walk to or from work, etc) 1-3 times a week, and I still clocked off 20kg by sticking pretty well to the eating plan, so don't freak out or throw the idea out the window if the 6 times is not realistic.
The SSS is the plan of doing a full on death defying workout one day a week (most people do it on Saturday) where you crush 1,000 calories.
I found that a solid gym class (Body Pump, Body Combat, Body Attack, Boxing, etc - not Pilates, Body Balance, etc) and then 30 mins on the cross trainer or treadmill nailed that.
A friend who is smaller than me needed to do two classes to get the 1,000 done and dusted, so she'd do the solid class and then do a spin class.
A HRM is good, if you're going to use it. I got one as a special thing for Christmas, and haven't really used it, because I still haven't figured out how  I'm a bit of a time poor technophobe and there's just never been a good hour to sit down and read the instructions properly ... I should probably do that ...
:hide:
Pre "stress weeks", I was managing 4-5 x 30 workouts a week, mostly only doing 300cal a session, but when doing that combined with mostly following the meal plans I was losing weight and size. Have not done a proper SSS, but I figure the weekends where we went woodcutting for 3 hours more than made up for that ;)
In one way it is good to know that I can not be 100% and still lose, but then a part of me goes "hey I could lose all my weight quickly if I did follow 100%". The reality is 6 x 1hr workouts a week is just not feasible without massively affecting my sleep and stress levels, which in the long term is not good for me and would just end of with me blowing back out.
As of this morning I am back to pre "stress weeks" weight. So will be interesting to see what I am at tomorrow morning.
