I have Forme etc.
Long term I will cut out artificial sweeteners, but at the moment they're in my yoghurt, my coffee, Pepsi Max and possibly other stuff ...
One thing at a time.
Hoping I can join in here. I just sign up last night, eeeek!
I'm trying to get all the 'pre-season' stuff done today as well as go for a big shop before lunch. I'm looking forward to getting fit and healthy (again!) Hopefully there will be good support to help keep me motivated.
I will read through more of this thread later. :)
:cheer: 1.5kg down!! So stoked! :D
How did everyone go this morning??
Welcome Munckin_Mumma
On my way to work so my workout will be tonight, I'm thinking of a 5km walk.
I've got a salad for lunch and water.
The big weigh in: 2.1kg lost :D
Totally forgot to weigh. My other weighs lately have been at night so I guess I'll do it tonight and start doing it in the morning thereafter.
Today's challenge though will be my client lunch!! Going to have a sticky beak at the menu now so I can suss out the healthiest option... and then make the all important decision about whether to have a glass of wine ...
I thought I would join in this thread for round 1. :) this is my 4th round, but I am feeling inspired and completely in the right head space at the moment. I went to the 12wbt workout and finale party in Brisbane on the weekend and had an awesome time with my training group. One of the girls in my group won the top prize after losing 21kg last round. It has definitely given me a kick up the back side. I have lost 18kg since June and would like to lose 12-15kg this round which will have me almost at goal.
I am 2.1kg down this morning. Looking forward to watching everyone's progress over the next 12 weeks :)
Such fabulous results this week! We rock! :D
Well done every one.
Thanks for the welcome.
Congrats to everyone who have had a loss this morning
Can I ask those of you who joined up a while ago, when did you do your original weigh in? I am a bit confused as to why we weigh just a few days since starting?
I am down 1.2kg in 24 hours! Can only assume its partly to do with bloating or something like that, wasnt expecting the scales to have changed since yesterday. Happy either way :)
I'm loving the food so far too!
I don't weigh in until Friday - as I weigh in at the gym and that is my exact time every week, Wednesdays don't work for me so I will update later in the week
700g loss but I know my losses will be not as substantial as others, but will kick tush on the cms lost :)
Welcome MM!
Great work on the weight loss ladies.
900g for me, bring on next weeks weigh in!
Sopdet - How great is it when you add up all the cms you lose?! I lost 8 kg on the round I did but I lost over 30 cms off my body
Potato, spinach and feta tortilla for dinner tonight - which is really a frittata - and it is sooo good!!
I'm really looking forward to the dinner tonight! I'm hungry now just thinking about it.
I'm finding it hard not eating all the kids leftover scraps like I normally do. Not so much cause I'm hungry, just because I hate the waste. I guess the dogs are going to snacking through the day from now on :)
Haha I said to DH, I don't think she knows what a tortilla is lol.
I'm losing fast at the moment but I expect it to slow down a fair bit soon. Originally I was aiming to lose 18kg in the 12 weeks, but in preseason I lost 9kg...should I push my goal weight back (my end of year goal was 28kg lost do I could go back another 10kg) or is that too ambitious and maybe leave that goal for another round, and be pleasantly surprised if I do reach it this round?
I would leave it for now, re-assess in week 4, mini-milestone week and next fitness test/measure up.
And re: tortilla / fritatta. To my knowledge it is called a tortilla because spanish tortilla is egg/potato base and a fritatta is always egg based. But i would ordinarily have called it a fritatta too. there was some mention of the name being weird in the comments on the recipe but i didnt read all of it ;)
I would leave it. Don't move your goal posts so early in the game. ;)
If you smash your goal, awesome! But don't change it and put pressure on yourself you don't need to.
I agree with LimeSlice maybe reassess in 3-4 weeks and see how your losses are.
Last preseason Iost 10kg but then it slowed to 1-2kg a week sometimes less the occasional gain
Eating wise I have been great
Fruit and a smoothie for breakfast
Salad for lunch with water
Lamb koftas with mint yogurt for dinner
Snacks of grapes
No junk what so ever
Exercise I'm struggling with motivation, how do you get your bum off the couch to do it when you really can't be bothered, I know my medication is making me feel lethargic but I need to be able to get past that
Just try by starting the videos. They are broken down into intervals, so you can do 10 minutes and stop if you really want to.
Put your runners on and tie them up - will instantly make you feel more energetic! LOL
I was bad today... I am going to have to force myself to weigh today...
Lunch with clients was going to be fine (selected a grilled swordfish with lettuce and fennel and tomato salad) but then they got a plate of antipasto and one of the clients (the one who was hosting and paying) had to take a call, and in the 40 minutes he was out :o and we were waiting for mains, I had three glasses of plain mineral water... and then ate two bits of marinated artichoke, three olives, two long slices of prosciutto, two slices of rare steak with oil and capers, one slice of bruchetta with pesto tomato and basil, a chunk of parmesan, one piece of bread with oil and balsamic, and a little bit of egg. And then of course I still had my main course. With a glass and a half of shiraz.
I didn't have dessert! And I didn't have the four cheese and pinenut gnocci ... but yeah, I blew it.
I should have eaten a low cal yoghurt before I left, so that I ate less while I was out.
And then my afternoon was so terrible that I came straight home to my family instead of going to the gym.
Today was bad.
Tomorrow will be better.
Tomorrow will be better PN! I drooled a little reading that.
Thanks guys, I agree with you. I'd rather smash my goal and anything else is a bonus than feel I've failed because I set the bar way too high.
A loss! Of 1.8kg!!
My readings are a bit all over the place, because I lost 5.5kg over the pre season, but then did my weigh at night, and "gained" one, so overall I've lost about 6kg, but from the kick off it's 1.8kg lost.
:D
And PZ - I concur. Leave the current goal, to give yourself breathing room if you plateau for a bit, but latitude to smash it and add a further goal if you so desire :)
GO TEAM!!!
Now - who is going to do The Stampede with me in October? Google it. Then sign up.
I've signed and paid up for the first wave of the Melbourne 10km leg. Come on, girls!
Highly recommend Stampede! It was so much fun, I'm definitely doing it again this year.
I did Tough Mudder a few weeks ago too, but Stampede was just good muddy fun! Great to do in a team so you can all help each other out.
I'm doing a half marathon in Oct for Melbourne marathon so not sure how that will fit with stampede timing wise.
I'm doing it with DH and my sister again. We did it last year, but the 5km version, and we literally had to hoist each other up and over some things ... but we did it! And in about 1hr 50min, which is pretty good! And the only thing I didn't go was the rock climbing walls - I got up the first one, but then saw that there's nothing to climb down with - it's a sheer drop, and I was quite concerned I'd damage an ankle due to my weight, so I climbed back down, and walked around them.
I should be at least 20kg lighter by then (6kg so far ;)) and much fitter.
Still not sure that I'll run (as I just don't like it ...) but nothing's final - who knows, if I lose as much weight as I intend to, I might start doing the running training program, and even learn to like it ... anything is possible!
I'm doing the Mad Cow Mud Run on 10 March, want to do Tough Mudder and the Stampede this year as well (those two depend on certain things happening or not happening). I'm not going on retreat this year, so don't have to worry about where I'll be Oct/Nov this year.
Week 2 plans are up!
Food looks so good.
PN - Saturday or Sunday?
Oh next weeks food looks so good! Anyone else doing the vegetarian meal plan?
Nai does the vego plan
So who has done their vision board? I've just posted mine in the thread on the forum. Looking back at my last one, I can see how far I've come in terms of mind-set and focus.
I was supposed to have the chicken & guacamole wrap for lunch today, but left the mountain bread at home, so made little wraps with the lettuce leaves.
Crappy day here :/ Managed to stick to the food all day with with no slip ups, despite wanting to comfort myself with chocolate.
Didn't make it to the gym, on 3rd glass of red wine. Fail :(
Didn't make the gym either- was at work until about 10pm. Then had mountain bread with cottage cheese tomato and ham with a banana for dinner and went to bed.
And I have a meeting tonight so won't get a work out today either.
Keep reminding yourself what a huge improvement you're already making.
Beating yourself up isn't cardio ;)
im joing the crap day band wagon too....
no exercise (unless you class an hour of walking around the shops as exercise!) and i had a slice of pizza for dinner .... better than a whole small pizza i guess! ;)
today will be better!
Hehe, good point.
Crumpet, I see it as wallking around the shops for an hour is much better then sitting on your bum for an hour. And 1 slice of pizza, go you! I would never be able to stop at 1 ;) I'm with you, today WILL be better.
Feeling much more positive today, thank goodness! I woke up feeling thinner (as silly as that sounds!) so I weighted myself. Down a little bit, so that has given me a good start to the day.
I need to try and keep to the weekly weigh ins. Every morning all I want to do is jump on the scales and its pointless. Will be much more exciting to wait it out.
Happy Friday :)
