Welcome didispunk!! How do you find WW? Is it expensive? Is it very motivating?
:welcome: Didispunk, will add you in :)
How is everyone going?
We had a b'day party today so we went and got the girls santa photo's done, then we went to the party THEN i went and did my food shopping so did LOTS of walking and it was getting late so i bought hungry jacks :shhh:
BUT i did only eat healthy salad roles at the party, no cake and 1 small glass of champagne :)
Also i managed to squeeze my fat butt into my size 16 jeans :) they felt a little tight at the start but they are the awesome target stretch ones and within an hour were PERFECT, one of the MG girls AND a friends mum both commented i looked like i'd lost MORE than 5kg
So what else is news?
had pizza for dinner tonight, but i've been pretty good all week so i think that one night off is ok!
am planning on getting up early tomorrow morning and doing some exercise before the kids get up
zf- it's nice when people notice your weight loss :)
Exercise sounds good, but my kids get uop b/w 5 & 6 so no hope of me getting up before them..
I got that exercise DVD from the library so i think tomorrow morning we might do that, DP is off getting drunk tonight for x-mas parties and wont be home so before we go get him from his mums i might fit that in :)
wow your kids do get up early! mine are usually up anytime between 7.30 and 9.00am :) so sometimes i sneak in some exercise before they wake, just depends how tired i am from the night before.
lucky dh going to xmas parties tonight but i'm sure he'll have a sore head and be feeling sorry for himself tomorrow LOL
I personally LOVE WW.. I have done it prior to having DS and lost 30kg in 4 months.. Its realistic.... that you can have a drink. you can go to friends for dinner.. you can eat basically the same as your family does... no microwaving meals.. no having to cook 10 different things at night.. AND I LOVE that every thursday night at 530pm i have to jump on those scales and answer to the WW lady.... I pay 13$ a week to go..
Plus I go to Curves 6 days a week.. work my butt off.. and burn 500-700 calories in 27 min! ITS FULL on when you push yourself otherwise people can be very slack on the machines if they want too!!
Thanks for the welcome!!! its nice!
Omg, I am such a tool. Didn't realise there was a new thread and have been waiting waiting waiting for updates on the thread
Hehe, going well here. Am going to cut dairy out this week, see how I go. The week i did that when DD was diagnosed with reflux I lost 1.2kg! It was easier that I thought it would be too.
Don't think I've lost a huge amount this week though. Tomorrow will tell!
jumped on the wii fit scales this morning and I haven't lost anything this week. I can tell I'm losing cm though (or maybe 'a' cm..lol). Have a size 14 pair of shorts with a belt that I used to only do up halfway, now I'm on the last hole so soon they might not fit at all! And my new boardies I wore the first time a few weeks ago, the buttons kept popping undone, now they stay done up all day. I dont think my 'baby' belly is as big either and its getting easier to suck it in
Raining today so probably won't be able to go for a walk :( Have given myself a day off from my hard core "My Workout" exercise, I've done it everyday this week so figure I can have a rest today. Have done a bit of mowing the last two days so that's a bit of extra exercise that should make up for it.
Wow didispunk, what are you doing to burn of cals that quickly?? That is fantastic! 30kgs in 4 months with WW is amazing, maybe its time i joined as my eating is really out of control.
ss_storm- that is brilliant news, bet you are feeling great :) I am the same, haven't been losing kgs just yet, but losing lots of cms everywhere! Hoping it all adds up soon, i tried on some of my work suits the other day to see how far i am getting and they are still a little tight...
MummaSue- I did the same with DS's reflux, but managed to gain 3kgs in a week because i decided to overcompensate with other things! Oops. I also gave up chocolate, caffeine and diet coke and somehow was still managing to gain weight!
Ginger- can we please swap kids! DD was a late sleeper, but DS is an early riser and wakes her up! Gaaggghhh, no chance of me getting up before them either
ZF- great job with the jeans! Bet you were looking HOT! Glad you got some nice feedback from your MG about your weightloss so far! Good luck with your exercise video, one thing that i learnt really early on when i started exercising was that i never ever regretted doing the exercise once it was done, i always felt fantastic and was very proud of myself, so the next time i was thinking about doing it again i reminded myself how good i always feel and it was enough to motivate me to get up and do it.
Hey ladies! Sorry that I've been MIA. I've been working flat out the last few days from 10am to 9pm. I didn't even have time to exercise. :shakehead: But I work in a busy nursing home kitchen and have to run around all day like a crazy chicken. :o I don't even have time to sit down for 5 min! Sooo...that counts as exercise, doesn't it? I'm always all sweaty and exhausted afterwards! So surely I'm burning cals! :D hehehe
My eating is pretty good. Even my Wii board seems happy with me! But of course I've got my stupid period :wall: so my weight will be all over the shop come weigh in day... Well, tomorrow will tell.
But enough of my babbling.
ZF: Great job with your jeans! I'm sure you looked smokin!!
Didispunk: Firstly, Welcome!! Secondly, :o 30kg?!? WOW! In such short time? That's amazing!!
Appletree: There might be a valid reason why you put on weight when you cut out dairy. Latest research has shown that dairy lines your stomach and reduced fat absorption. They tested it on this guy - one week he only ate dairy-free meals, the next week he ate meals of the same calorie count, but rich in low-fat dairy. They tested how much fat his body absorbed in week 1 and week 2. Turns out that he absorbed wayyy less fat in week 2 (dairy rich meals) than he did in week one. Pretty cool! So go the smoothy I say!!
Ginger: Welcome!! I wish you all the best with your weight loss!!
REPORTING DAY :)
Today is the day to get your 'results' in, have you had a loss, stayed the same or is your 'fitness level' improving, please PM me your update.
TRY SOMETHING NEW CHALLENGE:
With your update can you let me know ONE thing your going to try this week thats a little new, be it an exercise, a recipe or eating chocolate all week ;)
How is everyone going, hope you all had a great weekend.
Sat we had a b'day party but i was good in eating salad rolls, no cake BUT it went down hill when we were running late home and we bought HUNGRY JACKS... but in my defence i went with the chicken wrap :p
Then yesterday while DP was hung over we went to his mums work's fete, sausages in bread and these CUTE little cake ball things.. OMG!
Kate and i didn't get to walk Friday due to weather and i think that combined with my poor food choices the last couple of days has not helped me this week!
I have had a GAIN - up to 98.9 :wall: BUT i think i am loosing CM's although DP says i'm not.. i am not worried though and i am still working at this, it's a life style change, it's not a DIET and i want to see LONG LASTING results not quick losses that i gain again in 6mths time :)
Hope everyone else is seeing a loss today :)
Woo hoo!! Another small loss this week!
xxxxx
 well done hun, keep up the great work !
Woohooo! Another kilo down :) And i am now officially a Witchery size 14 on hips and waist (still 9cm to go on bust though, but i will let that one slide).
I still feel like a great big whale so i am going to put off going into Witchery and trying something on until i am at the lower end of the size measurements (rather than the upper!), so another 4cm off both hips and waist which the rate i have been going is another 2 weeks.
ZF, you should do your measurements and track them, i find it a lot more gratifying!
Am thinking i might stop at safeway and buy a measuring tape :) i don't own one...
Then i guess i need to figure out WHERE on my body i measure.
I love my chocolate and won't give that up - when I'm being super good I just have a bar of dark choc in the cupboard and at the end of the day I have 2 squares. That keeps me good. But I haven't had caffeine (coffee etc) or fizzy drinks for around 12 years. I gave them up for a charity thing years ago and could never go back - coke just tasted awful after having a break from it and now I hate fizzy drinks!
Well done everyone!! xxxx
Well, only a 700g loss for me this week. Stupid period :wall:. I weight myself during the week and I was 1kg down....but now it's only 700g.... Ahhh well, next week will be better!! :D
Raupe, 700g is awesome!! I lost 200g! You're doing great babe! xxx
Thanks MummaSue! I'm happy with it, but I still gotta lose quite a lot! It's such a long journey and I'm such an impatient person!
Congrats on you loss!
I picked up a 3m long one from kmart for about $1.50? I think i thought i need a super sized one to go around me...
For your bust, measure across the fullest part and try to relax your arms (i also measure underneath as i initially started measuring so i could buy some bra's online)
Waist is the naturally narrowest part of your body, mine is up quite high a few cm about my belly button
Hips are measured across the fullest part
MammaSue- i can't stand dark chocolate, it is my least favourite food! I was absolutely fine without chocolate until AF decided to come back all of a sudden and i have really eaten a stack of it this week! I bought some melting buds so DD and i could make some christmas chocolates, so far we haven't made any of them, but the pack of buds are half gone! I actually just started drinking some diet coke this weekend, and have decided i will let myself have some when i am having the urge to eat something terrible, DS's reflux seems to have really started to settle down now so it hasn't been effecting him like it used to.
Raupe- i had been wondering why you were so quiet!! Your job sounds crazy, definitely burning lots of cals there! Thanks for the info on cutting dairy, that does make sense! Congrats on your 700g loss, that is still absolutely awesome :)
I had a good workout this morning, i was aching by the end of it! I didn't actually do it all either. I was watching on the treadmill how many cals a simple walk burns, and its roughly 100 calls per 10 mins on mainly flat at a decent pace, so all of you guys doing a decent 1 hour walk are burning off stacks of calories, especially when you add in the dogs/pram pushing!! Good work :)
Traveller & Ginger- how did you guys go??
Didispunk, are you going to weigh in on Monday's with us, or do you want to stay with Thursday's for WW and update then?
I forgot to add that my challenge this week is to have no mcdonalds!
Thanks ladies, i got the tape measure so will try and do some measurements and see if i see any difference there, will let you know how i go :)
well done to everyone aswell, your all doing a WONDERFUL job!
700g.....gained :shakehead:
It's all good hun. i gained over 1kg... 1 step at a time remember :)
I could easily blame that AF is here but you know what I made the decision to get Hungry Jacks, I made the decision to eat those little cakes & sausages yesterday and I decided it was too wet for a walk friday... so I AM ACCOUNATBLE and if being aco****able for my actions means i gain 1kg then so be it... atleast i know why and for once i'm not making excuses for myself :)
hi girls, just a quickie from me, will drop in again later tonight when i have more time! LOL
just wanted to say i lost 1.1 kg this week. v happy xoxo
Sorry, back from being away and just saw this - no worries, but you need to start with the beginner one, it teaches you all the moves first and then you go on to the others.
Traveller -
Hope everyone else is well, I've just had a quick peek in here, will be back later for more personals. Haven't touched the scales......
Aww thanks hun... i think it would be quite funny to see me Zumbaing away in my lounge :p
Hope your camping trip went well..
Ginger - great loss
PRMG- How was the camping trip and birthday?? Sounds like a great time away! We were planning on going for a trip next weekend but unfortunately have too much on :( Which Zumba DVD do you have? I need to learn the moves, so would love one that teaches step by step!
Gah, was trying to post on the laptop during bath time and wasn't paying enough attention- DS poo'd in the bath and DD had a huge meltdown! will have to come back and finish after bedtime!
Hi guys! I'm going on a trip for two days and won't have Internet access until Thursday! So be good!! I'll try to do the same. I don't now how I gonna go exercise and food wise. I'm on a group tour, so I think meals are provided? We'll see. I just have to make smart choices where I can.
Good Luck everyone! And stay motivated! :cheer:
Til Thursday :hello:
Have fun Raupe!!!!
Yesterday was a goooood day. No dairy for this woman! Fruit and more fruit for me and DD. I think we ate a quarter watermelon between us!
Morning everyone, will update with the stats i have in a minute.

\Keep up the great work everyone :)
Ginger- hooray on 1.1kg loss!! That is fantastic :)
Traveller- 700g isn't too bad, you can make that up in a week! Try not to be too bummed by it, remember how i gained stacks after my week holiday? I felt terrible, but have come back even stronger.
Raupe- where are you headed too? I wish i could have a couple of days away, i need some time off! Hope you have a great time :)
ZF- thanks for updating the stats! Its great to see how everyone is doing
MammaSue- yummmm, i love watermelon, we eat some almost every day in this house!
Well, i had a near miss this morning with this weeks challenge! DF let me sleep in, i asked for 20 mins and he gave me 2 1/2 hours! Would have been brilliant if i wasn't booked in to the gym creche's 8:30 session and i had 20 mins to get everyone dressed, give them breakfast and get there. I made an executive decision to do a macca's run, but at the last minute decided it would take just as long to make myself a vegemite sandwich and pick up DD's cold toast and tell her to finish it off! I couldn't help but remember Raupe and said to myself 'i'm doing it for my BB peeps' LOL. I also had to think of you guys again towards the end of my gym session too, i was up to the 30 mins of interval running on the treadmill, which is near the end, and i decided i just couldn't do anymore and would pick up the kids early, but i thought of my peeps again and kept on going! My legs are aching now though, so i am blaming you all :) I had an excellent food day yesterday too, this mornings sneak peek at the scales had me down another 1/2 a kilo! I LOVE seeing those numbers going down!
Appletree - i am more than happy for you to blame us for your sore legs.. bring it on sister. :)
Well done on NO MACCA's and for keeping up the work-out...
Girls have had lunch and i can't decide what i want, might wait for them to go to bed and enjoy some lunch to myself in peace :) might make up a salad or something :)
I just had a chicken wrap with corn, cucumber, lettuce, carrot and cheese (hey, i can't be perfect all the time right ;) ) and a glass of diet coke and 2 melting chocolate buds. I can highly recommend it, it was TASTY!
Have fun with your exercise DVD, is this the one you got from the library?
Yeah the one from the library, tried it this morning.. NOT a fan.. it's OLD PEOPLE in an old persons home sitting in chairs doing exercise :wall:
Okay, got some time at last!!
SS_Storm - Grrr to men. They can always see what you haven't done, but never manage to see what you do, what makes you so busy so you don't get time to yourself. Big
Appletree - I hope you and your DH are going okay. Hate it when fighting seems to be all you do. Yay for your loss and size 14 at Witchery! Way to go! Camping was just the best and DH really enjoyed his birthday. I'm going to update the camping thread if you want to have a read of what we got up to. All we want to do is pack up and go again! The Zumba dvds I have are a pack of 4 and the first one is called Zumba Beginners. It goes through each move slowly and then speeds it up so you can easily (or unco as in my case) get the hang of it. I wouldn't be surprised if its on youtube because its just teaching the moves.
Traveller - Hope you get your second round offer. Keep your chin up
Didispunk - Welcome! Hope WW is working for you :)
ZF - YAY for getting into your 16 jeans!!! Must have been an awesome feeling! Try not to worry about what your DP says - he's probably aware that you're active and he isn't so maybe a bit of denial? From when I met you at the first meet, to the first walk we did with Kate, I noticed a difference. You're looking great hun. And how funny on the dvd you borrowed!!!!!!! I'll loan you the zumba one when I see you next!!
MummaSue - Well done on your loss!
Raupe - A loss is a loss hun! No gain for you, well done! Look at your ticker and remind yourself just how far you've come and be proud!
Ginger - Well done on your loss!!
AFM - I snuck a sneaky look on the scales this morning and saw a loss, after eating pretty much non-stop over the four day camping trip, but being pretty active, I wasn't sure what to expect. Maybe I've sped up my metabolism at last. I know I'm starving hungry if I'm late eating around my meal times.
