I got a pair of pants out of the cupboard, a size 18.. normally a VERY TIGHT 18 cos of my big fat bum n belly, put them on with the normal SUCK IN GUT technique only to realise they were loose around the top of the legs AND they fit me PERFECTLY no sucking my gut in to sit down! :dance: :dance: :dance:
So now i fit into my sexy stretch size 16 jeans and my black 'dress' pants... woo hoo!

Arrrghhhh, nightmare eating day today, it all went wrong when i slept in and decided to grab some maccas on the way to the gym... Hasn't stopped since! I am banning myself from going back into the kitchen, not another thing is to pass my lips until morning where i will be having soy and linseed toast with avocado, tomato and some thin sliced ham for breaky so there is no need to eat anything else until lunchtime! Grrr to me :( Well, on the positive side though, i stuck to my challenge of not eating any chocolate! LOL. I just ate just about every other food there is! I even made nacho's for dinner... :(
Raupe- thanks, but your crappiness didn't rub off on me, i bought it on all by myself! Woohoo on 100g, i guess you are saved for another week from running ;)

DF got me a really cool christmas present last night (at least i hope he did, i hinted enough and i saw him with his credit card out!), i am getting a session with a personal stylist and 2 hours of personal shopping! I am going to book it in for just before i return to work so i will go back not only thin but well dressed as well! Can't wait!

After getting the all clear on my post-natal OGTT last week (GD + insulin both PG's), and knowing that my little family is complete (no more PG's for me after finishing the last one on crutches!)... it's time for me to get my body back! I wanna be the old FIT me. My dad has type II diabetes and I soooo don't wanna go there! I managed a shuffle-jog last week, and a proper jog last night!!! After 4 months of barely walking, this was like WOW! But, I need to eat better.
So, i've set some goals for this week:
- do 30 mins exercises 6 days of 7 (almost managed this last week)
- only ONE treat per day, and then it's the recommended serving size (i.e. chips, chocolate, biscuit)... ok so the thought of having no treats does my head in!
- do the "toddler" diet. Would I want my toddler to eat it? (i.e. it's junk) if no, then I won't either.
- use calorieking website (just about to see if it will work from my phone)
- weigh & measure this morning! eep.

Nice goals hun, i've found for me walking with the girls (& Kate) has really helped, we walk generally 3 days a week, the girls love it and i'm getting healthier.. the 'toddler' diet is a good one.. i have found now i'm better as i am eating when DD1 eats, if she snacks i snack as opposed to only having my 3 main meals a day.

I'm feeling a little more "normal" today. The first couple of days of AF for me are traditionally a pig out, its like I just crave it and can't control the junk consumption. But this morning I've woken up and felt better and past it. Glad it's only once a month! Weather is kinda scary though today, so might give Zumba a workout.
Yesterday I could not stop eating, and I made the decision that with my current lack of willpower, combined with Christmas parties and my birthday coming up I will bow out of this challenge until next year.
However....I am turning 30 in a few weeks and I don't want to hit that milestone still binge eating and battling with my weight, so I will stick with the challenge, and I WILL get down to under 71kg by my birthday (Christmas Eve). Please help me ladies, I will need your support with this!
Back to tracking today, and lots of fruit and water to try and reduce my bloating from eating rice and other complex carbs that stick around my belly like glue.
Traveller - :hug: I hit 31 this year and that was my push really. I didn't want to spend my 30's worrying about what I was eating because I wasn't comfortable in my skin. I wanted to enjoy food and feel great so that's my motivation. We're here for you.
Traveller – Nooooo! Don’t leave us :cry: *stomps feet and throws a tanty* Don’t give up! Even if you don’t post here, try to stay on track. Chrissy parties make it harder. You can enjoy yourself and have a drink/naughty food, and then the next day eat healthily and have a work out session. It would just be such a shame to undo all your hard work. How about not trying to *lose* weight over the party season, but rather trying to maintain your current weight, so you don’t put any on. That way when you start back up next year you don’t have to start from square one again! :hug: Darling, I wish you all the best. We’re here when you need us! Luv ya

AFM not much new to post. Have been working 12 days straight, but will finally have one (!) day off tomorrow. Well, I gotta work on some assignments, but at least I don't have to be at work. DP made his delicious pasta and he made so much we had it twice in a row for dinner and tonight most likely again! :rofl: I'm not that happy about having so many carbs, but it's sooo nice and it's wholemeal pasta, so it's not THAT bad, right? RIGHT? :o :lol:
Have been walking heaps, but I feel like it's not "doing" that much anymore... So I'm looking forward to running soon. I just have to find a good sports bra somewhere :think:. I did find a really good one, but it was $100 :o. I can't afford that :shakehead:.
PRMG - woo hoo for feeling a bit more 'normal' the female body and reproductive system are a right PITA :p

Just wanted to say quickly to Raupe- i have a cheap kmart sports bra and then i wear a sports singlet with an inbuilt bra over top, and make sure its nice and tight though! I then wear another top over top of this one so people can't see my lumps and bumps! I have E cups and am breastfeeding so this works well for me and doesn't cost a fortune :)

Had a LONG workout today, feeling a bit tired and over it all! I did do some good running, there is another girl at the gym who just runs for a full hour, so i try and get on the treadmill next to her so i feel guilty if i get off or slow down too much! LOL. Still haven't gotten around to doing any of those pesky sit-ups... maybe in between movies today?

traveller- ikwym about xmas being a hard time, but think how good you'll feel by jan/feb if you just slowly chip away at it and slowly lose or maintain your weight rather than putting more on. why don't you buy yourself a pretty dress in a smaller size to wear to your birthday as motivation!
raupe- i concentrated on eating lots of fruit this week- so everytime i was hungry b/w meals i grabbed some fresh fruit and it seems to have really paid off!
i have actually got my BIL's engagement party at the end of jan and i've cheekily bought myself a dress in a size 12 in the hope that i'll be able to wear it on the night. wish me luck girls!

Traveller - just think, if you bow out of the challenge and then... (just hypothetically), were to GAIN weight over xmas, how annoyed would you be at yourself? Can you just eat well outside the xmas/b'day and still enjoy xmas? That way there's still some moderation.
Raupe - I'm with you on the bras. Sometimes I can find a reasonable one at Target or similar, but so often they don't have my size. Currently I'm using an older one for walking/jogging, but geez it's a squeeze to get into it! But I figure better too much support than too little... bra shopping has to be the most annoying thing. Oh and when I wear the 'squeeze 'em in' bra, i look like i've lost 5kg, wish I could wear it all the time!
Appletree - with you on the BF'ing, I wish I could find good BF'ing bras anywhere, but I figure if I lose weight there's no point buying one now. Ahem... i mean WHEN i lose weight :redface:

I feel old reading this thread lol, i'm 37 (cripes, how did THAT happen!?!?). I've started tracking my food in CK... oh dear! Firstly, yay for extra calories while BF'ing and secondly, omg I need to eat better! I've already eaten 1300 calories today!!!! And I haven't even had dinner yet!
Found myself thinking on the way home from MG... oh i'll just pick up some red rooster (drive-thru is just soooo nice with 2 littlies in the car) then thought NO, you have good healthy food at home, don't be lazy, you don't need that stuff. Man have I got myself into some bad habits. Kicks self up backside. Oh and in good news... did my first proper jog last night and the legs aren't too sore today... will see how we go tomorrow!
Zarava - I see your FB updates re walking, and it motivates me to read 'em. This jolly rain doesn't help but!
Oh and I'm gonna put my goals out there. I currently weigh 67.7 (i'm just a shortie), and I need to get to 57/58. I think I'll make my first mini-goal 63, cos that's what I was just before this last PG.
Oh yeah, bras :rolleyes:. Don't get me started lol. I'm a 18GG (or even bigger, but I'm not brave enough to find out :redface:) but I always manage to squeeze them into 18G's, just because that's the biggest size I can get at Harris Scarfe. :rofl: When I go to the 'speciality shops' I always have to pay around $100 for a bra... and I just can't justify that! They only last about 4 months, then the weight of my boobs crushes them :rofl: (break the wire, or the wire pokes out, even though I mended it 20 times) or stretch them beyond recognition and I need a new one! :o Scary :shakehead:. I haven't been able to find a sports bra in that size at all... not at the "normal" shops anyway. Also, I bought a $100 bra last year for a special occasion, then lost 15kg in six months and now it doesn't fit any more! I've only worn it twice!!! Dp wasn't happy I tell ya! (he paid for it). So yeah, I don't WANT to spend that much money on a sports bra, but I might have to if I can't find another one.

Belfie - Zumba is a latin dance workout. If you youtube it, I'm sure there will be demos of it. It is a full body work out and heaps of fun. The proper dvd kit you can get at Target for about $150 but I found some cheap ones at a market for $30. You don't have to be very good at it (so I've discovered :lol:), it somehow seems to do its magic regardless! Mini goals are great, it helps keep you more motivated I think. My first mini goal was to lose 4kg, I've lost 2kg since we started.
ZF - M just played around me and did a little dance while I did Zumba before, so A will love it no doubt!!
Appletree - Where do you live because I'm coming to share those romantic comedies with you!!!! :lol: On my way!!!!

I got my sports bras from Target, comfy as, and I never spend more than $20 on a bra. Oh, question too, where do you get your wholemeal pasta from? I can't find it in the deli or supermarket here.
AFM - The Zumba workout ROCKED!! It's a disk I haven't touched yet and it was a power workout. I was dripping after about six minutes, but did the entire 40 minute workout. The next time I pike out and get unmotivated, can someone please remind me how good I feel after doing it?!

As for me, well, I haven't managed to get on the X-trainer ONCE!! So much for my challenge this week. And on tuesday I had a hot chocolate. So busted my dairy thing too. Thankfully it was my only huge slip - but it's my only indulgence and having just the one kept me sane. Doing good apart from that though!

PacRakMG: I usually buy the wholemeal pasta at Woolworths or Foodland (whatever shop is closest at the time really!). It’s right next to the normal pasta (usually to the right of it), but they only have wholemeal penne, spaghetti and lasagne sheets (well, at my local shops anyway). We have all three at home lol. So you do have to look for it, I usually miss it and have to look twice before I see it! It usually ‘blends in’ with all the other packets. :lol: Good luck

AFM: Well, today I went SHOPPING!! With DP’s debit/credit cards....mwahahahaha!!! Bad idea, my friend. Bad idea. :lol: It was one exciting day. I WAS going to buy chrissy presents...but...I bought myself more presents than anyone else! :rofl: So, it all started with one swimsuit I tried on (I want to start swimming again – great way to lose some booby fat! And those “wings” aka arm flab.). Yep, next to bras most likely the most depressing thing EVER to shop for. My top half squeezes out of all corners and my butt just swims in all the fabric. :shakehead: I don’t have a “normal” body type apparently. So after trying on some more (umm, around 20ish) I finally found one that wasn’t too expensive, fits ok and flattens your stomach/waist etc. I JUST managed to squeeze said boobies into the top bit... just to discover that it is a halter neck (sp?) one. :wall: My neck can’t handle all that weight! They are roughly four kilos! It felt like the strap was about to sever my head from my body lol. HOWEVER, I realised that it was a tie up halter. So I can un-tie it and sow the straps to the main body, so I have normal shoulder straps! Woohoo! Well done, brain! Good thinking :D
So after that success I found some nice exercise pants, a matching top, a sports bra (too small but who cares), a tight crop top to wear under my sports top (thanks appletree) some training socks hehe and and some comfy training underpants! I just washed my runners, so now I am officially ready for my running :o ! Well, I just have to get under 90kg first.... So excited!!

Good job Raupe!! I hate shopping for bathers too and I hear you on the halter necks. I try to get two piece sets now, shorts for my butt and a singlet for the top, find that works well for me. Thanks for the tip on the wholemeal pasta, I've had a look at Woolies, but will have another next week when I go again.
Today I did the Zumba workout again!! Whoop! Managed to get to the 11 minute mark today before I was sweating :rofl: My calf muscles are really tight, one side more than the other, woke up that way, so must have favoured one side yesterday. Tonight we're having schnitzel and salad for dinner. I put the schnitzel in the oven instead of frying it, so no oil is needed and they taste better. Hope you're all having a good day!

Oh, and about that roast capsicum and tomato soup recipe: I was wondering how you roast the capsicum? Lol, I've never roasted my capsicum before, but really want to try it. Do you just chuck it in the oven? What degree? Do you turn them? Leave 'em until the skin is black and then remove the skin? Or take them out earlier and leave the skin on?

Well, i went out for dinner tonight with two friends and am amazingly ****ed! Had the most delicious barramundi for dinner, plus a mango dessert and lots and LOTS of wine and champagne! DF is getting up to DS tonight which should be interesting, i am half thinking about sleeping downstairs tonight! If only we had a comfy couch... I of course looked amazing! Everyone was checking me out ;) DF almost didn't let me go...! Hahaha

Raupe- no idea about the capsicum sorry, i am not a fan. Perhaps remove the seeds and bake with the skin on? I LOVE halterneck swimmers! I find they offer much more support, so long as the straps are thick? But then, i don't have your ginormous knockers :) Just semi ginormous ones! I swear i was taking some shots today of DS BFing and my boobs are twice as big as his head, its crazy! Cos he has an enormous head!
PRMG- awesome work at the zumba! Are you starting to get better at doing the moves? I think i might be improving, i feel like less of a dork nowadays ;) I find the dvd is a harder workout than the classes, not sure if that is due to the instructor? We have a fab one on thursday nights, she is in her 50's has a nice round belly and flabby arms and i feel right at home! I rarely crack a good sweat in her classes, but there are still things that i really struggle with! Yum i LOVE schnitzel, can i come to your house??
Ok, had better get some sleep, i can see DD's 9am gymnastics class being a real challenge for me tomorrow morning! Aaargh, and then we are spending the day house hunting as we need to find a new place before Feb 1, BOOOOOO....

Belfie - I'm with appletree....if I'm craving it, I find I'm better off just having it. Relieves the craving and then its over, otherwise I just keep consuming. Oh and as Raupe taught us, when you do have it, enjoy it. If you're going to have something naughty, you may as well savour every mouthfull, otherwise it simply isn't worth it. That's the best advice I reckon I could've been given.
Appletree - I think I am getting better at Zumba. But then I catch my reflection and go :o. The instructor on the one I've been working on speaks in Spanish (I think), where the other three all have English translations, this one doesn't. Come for schnitzel anytime!! Sounds like you had a great night out.

Last night DH and I took DD to our local Christmas carols. I packed some dips and crackers, but we couldn't resist the jam donuts on offer. Yum. It was great, they had a free petting zoo and the carols weren't half bad either. It was awesome just watching DD's face light up as the animals were walking around her, she had a ball.
