Sorry ladies i've been MIA, we went away last weekend and then this week we had my b'day and things and we've been flat out.
I've enjoyed a week of relaxing some lovely food and little exercise so it's no shock to me i MAY have put on weight (although i'm yet to actually check)
The other night i somehow hurt my ankle so there will be no walking from me today outside of mowing our lawns and going to let the chickens in & out, but i'm not at all angry with myself even though i didn't reach my goal of 90kg by my b'day i am not far off, i had a great enjoyable week for my b'day and with my family and from tomorrow i am back into it all again.
BBL for personals.

Sterla - awesome stuff
DD- Welcome - that is a pretty good goal.
ZF - Happy Birthday (belated, sorry I missed it). Ouchie about the ankle. I think sometimes it is not a problem to have a week which is not perfect (I think a Bday is a good reason), just so long it is not every week ;)
Going to be hard this week, pretty tight on cash till Wed and DH has to take $250 with him to go away for work on Mon. So as much as I want to follow the 1MKC menu this week (it looks pretty good). I am going to struggle to afford it. Plus I am doing the big veg harvest today, so will get onto the 1MKC recipe site and see what I can find to do with it all ;)
DH has still been losing and surprisingly has embraced it. For someone who a few months ago was saying we just have to worry about the girls and not ourselves, it is good to see the turn around. He took a cake to work yesterday (Nigella Chocolate Guinness cake) and he did not have a slice, despite the groans of pleasure coming from his co-workers. Will be interesting to see how he goes away with work, some of the meals are supplied, the rest is his choice, plus he is catching up with gaming boys (just imagine the alcohol he will be consuming).

*Sigh* I go down, I go up. I know was not 100% yesterday due to kids being home and the heat. Silly me went out in the garden and I got too hungry. Add to that the kids constantly asking for food. It is so much easier to keep control at work, all I can eat it what I take. Might need to treat everyday like a work day and organise all my food that morning.
Time to rev up the juicer and get juicing I think. Much better to have juice than snack on the kids popcorn.
-
Ankles still sore, got it strapped now though and will ice it today after some housework :wall:
Hope everyone is well.

Well, after my little celebration post the other day, I have gone down hill! Eating is not terrible, but still say too much, and not the right stuff (I just had two choc chip pancakes, and a huge glass of wine all after 8.30pm) DH has been on nights and I have had a terrible few nights with the kids, which is a big trigger for my eating, being tired ansd stressed out. But I need to do other things instead of eat. I haven't exercised since the other day either. The only thing I'm doing well is drinking plenty of water. One good thing I guess. I am going to get back on the horse though. I don't expect to have lost any weight this week though, after doing so well early in the week...:( I feel like a see-saw.
-
Understand that seesaw feeling 3LM. I started all guns blazing, did really well and now doing crap (to put it bluntly).
This heat is a killer (I know excuse), but gee when I am just not coping, a cold icecream does go down very well. I just want this damn heat to go away!
Have heaps of leftover BBQ stuff here. Some will have to go straight to the chooks, like the potato salad and I am debating the coleslaw due to its dressing. Do have a heap of garden salad and meat. The girls can have the sausages and I will stick to the steak. So that works well and saves me a heap of prep for the next day or two, so means I can fit in more exercise. Have been finding the lunch prep of a morning has been eating into any exercise time.
Oh, DH is away for 3 nights, so that means I can exercise with the Wii of an evening. He says it is not a problem when he is home, but I don't want to be doing awful dance moves with Just Dance in front of others
-
Howdy all! Trying to get back on the straight and narrow here too. I went a bit mad yesterday and did heaps of exercise so feeling virtuous there. Food has been pretty good too. So so so sick of feeling like I am doing well but not seeing the numbers move too much.
Here's to some cooler weather so we can all get the scales moving!
-
Didn't have the best day with eating - cob loaf dip is too yummy to pass up though!!! I did 40 minutes on the bike tonight, so hopefully not too much damage has been done.
-
Ok, down 500g in a week. I know a loss, but it has me feeling down. I would say that I have been 90% good with food, not great with exercise, but hey, not worse than usual. I so struggle with the concept of how 1 slice of bday cake and one icecream over the weekend can stuff things up so much.
I so want this effing weight off, I know if I knuckle down I can do it, but then I worry for the future, life is not perfect is has hurdles and I don't want it to come screaming back on due to the odd treat.
-
Well got me some exercise this evening. 4 songs on Just Dance II (so pretty sweaty stuff), 16 minutes of yoga on the Wii (stretching) and 5 minutes of step. Would have done more, but the kids kept on getting out of bed (something I am fed up with). Might not seem like a lot, but more than having my bum on the couch for that time.

I'm down as well. I'm not happy because its not much but the scales said 89.1, so under 90kg 2 weeks in a row :o. Kinda awesome. Its not much like I said only 400gm this week, and unlike you Astrid, I've not been eating well but I've been exercising well.... so I guess if we put the both together we would be on target!!!! I have a lot more to go in the next 5 weeks.....

Today marks 4wks on my weight loss journey to the new heathier and hotter me :) and i have lost a total of 4.7kgs :) pretty happy with myself but would of been happier to reach my first mini weight loss goal of 5kgs so i can reward myself ;) hahahahaha
Went to a kids party yesterday with absolutely yummy yummy food, and tried really really hard to restrain myself, but was guilty of a few crackers and a piece of birthday cake
I have a question...... AF is due any day now, do we tend to put on weight at AF time?
-
Astrid, 500g is awesome! It's half a kilo!!Well done hun, I will celebrate it for you if you're not so chuffed with yourself! And remember, slow and steady is actually better for you long term in regards to losing weight. Health professionals reccommend no more than a 500g-1kg loss per week if you want it to be long term.
And well done to you for doing exercise, even though you weren't into it!
Christy, ditto what I said to Astrid! 400g is great!
hj1981, go you!! You're doing really well! As for gaining weight around AF, alot of women do. THe fluctations in hormones makes alot of women retain fluid, so you gain 'weight' as well as often getting bigger around you waist/tummy because of it. I often find my boobs get swollen and feel really heavy too. Hormones too I guess! So you will either find you might not lose weight this week, you might actually gain a bit, or your loss won't be very big. But the week after, it will likely be a pretty big one.
AFM, I'm not going so great. No loss this week (though no gain either, so that's one good thing I guess!) but I am still not in my zone. Trying really hard to regroup, but DH is doing nothing to help me, and I'm struggling with AF coming in the next few days too, which makes me crave sugar, bloat and just feel really crappy in general. Tomorrow is a new day and I am going to start again though. DH is back at work, although night shifts again, so another thing I struggle with, lol. I just can't win! I am going to try new strategies to cope though....we'll see how they go!
-
Well done on all the losses - whatever they may be! Any loss, or even just staying stable and not gaining is still something! :)
3LM: Sorry you're not feeling motivated. I know how much that sucks... The best thing I've found when I don't feel in the zone is to make myself exercise. I may be forcing myself to being with, but by the end of a good walk or bike ride I feel good, usually :).
-
Thanks Heaps 3LM that makes alot of sense, and it is a big relief to read that. i noticed my stomach was looking a bit bigger/bloated. And it's really good to hear that it is normal and that i may not lose and weight or may even gain some this week! If you hadn't of said what you did i would of had a downer and got dissapointed in myself! but now i know what to expect i can prepare for it :) hope though i do have a big loss the week after ;)
I feel your pain with lack of motivation and the sugar cravings! At AF time i hate getting out of bed let alone doing exercise! and my gosh i crave chocolate REALLY bad (am guilty of having had 2 bars of chocolate already  although i try and justify that one bar was white chocolate and that had less calories and fat in it)
Does it work for you if first thing in the morning you just get up and do some exercise straight away? Thats what i do, as soon as i get out of bed i jump on the exercise bike straight away! than the kids get breakfast LOL or i set them up with it first than jump on the bike while they eat, I find if i don't do something straight away than i struggle to do something later. Either way yep tomorrow is a new day so start of positive (try to) and fingers crossed it's a better day :)
-
Not doing so great this week. Sick kids, worrying about possible flooding (should be right now), celebrations over the weekend, money issues...... it's all come to a head and I'm not training enough and my eating is not as fantastic as it should be. Weigh in tomorrow and I will no doubt have gained. Fingers crossed I can pull my finger out and get back into it.
-
And I'm back. Been such a slacker this year. Managed to lost 1.5kg a few weeks ago, then promptly got gastro, then put 1.6kg back on the following week!!! I lost 14kg last year but those bad habits still come back... realise that i NEED to be in here keeping myself focussed. So this is my sub, hope to BBL for persies later!! hope you're all doing well & looking forward to catching up :)
-
1.3kg gain this week.
Time to suck it up, act like a adult, eat well, train hard, and lose some weight, because I still have such a long way to go. I cannot afford to act like this now.
