Hi everyone. Sorry I am so far behind to do personals. I am on dial-up atm and haven't been too focused on my weight loss over the last couple of weeks. But will still weigh-in tomorrow and see where I am up to. Bad news though that I sprained my ankle at soccer on Friday and it looks like it isn't healing quickly like I had hoped. Hopefully it will be better by this Fridays game but I doubt it. So most of my usual exercise (cycling/jogging) is also out. So I have to be really good with my eating to make up for it. Anyway everyone seems to be going well. Hopefully I will get some time in the next few days to catch up better with the thread. Bye all!

    Howdy slimmers

Mr Squidipa, I had 46kg in total to lose !!!!!!!!! Still a lonnng way to go....

Who here is doing Weight watchers? How are you finding it? I go to meetings and am finding it really supportive. I need to weigh in front of others I think and have others notice if I stop going.

Great loss Mr S!!! Thats awesome!! Are you exercising hard? I have ideally 35-40KG i can afford to lose so im in here for the long haul!!

DP and i are off to the gym tonight first time since back from holidays, going to have to give it a good go!! I like my gym but they dont do any classes, i wouldnt mind doind a body pump or spin class ... does anyone here do those?

i walk for 54mins each day around our local park that has a small lake that you can walk around
where i walk it has some hills aswell which really helps you cant just walk on flat straight ground all the time IMO

i also push one of the kids in our stroller aswell which they love coming for a walk with me so bonus do 2 things at once

i want to lose the weight first before putting on 2 much muscle i do realise that muscle helps to burn fat but that is just they way i want to do it

Mr S - I had 14kg to lose. I've lost about 8, with 5 to go. Like someone else said, I'm starting to find it harder to lose now i'm getting lower, but i'm thrilled to be at the lower end too of course!

Ammaki - I used to LOVE spin classes.. but not in a gym atm, so I do my own version at home with the ipod.

sazzafrazz - I'm doing WW online and I've found that really helpful! I'm losing very slowly, probably averages to 200g a week, but i'm getting there slowly but surely.

krysalyss - oooh bummer re the ankle, hope it's better soon!

Nai - woo hoo nearly at the boots!

Well I weighed in yesterday, 300g up (funny I didn't post that hey ), but then today I'm 600g down! Go figure huh so I'm just hoping today's is the more accurate one!!! I feel like i"m spending weeks trying to get to that elusive healthy BMI... so determined this week WILL be the week. I'm about to go do a really solid Wii Fit session and maybe a cycle too. Fell in a bit of a hole yesterday cos just found out DS is allergic to eggs & treenuts, so I can't eat them now either, and I LURVE eggs. Oh well, only for 4 weeks thank god (then I stop expressing). But i was a mess yesterday as my diet is already restricted so was feeling very woe is me. But ok again today. I'm a bit nervous that once I stop expressing it will be waaaaaay harder to lose weight - so need to use the next 4 weeks! Oh and I've been getting heaps of comments which is nice, so trying to use them to motivate myself.

Was going to walk tonight but can't be bothered I will tomorrow though

    Hope everyone is doing well

Hi hon, I don't go to weight watchers but I think I would if there was going to be any people my age there, I think I would find it really motivating to use it as a social thing iykwim. My aunty lost about 50kg on weight watcher I think and looked and felt great, she found it very supportive and had a support person she could call any time I think. Good luck!

Howdy! I'm 300g lighter this week Going slowly now.

Cherished: My ww group has ages from early 20s to early 60s in it. I really enjoy it.

Belfie, enjoy those expressing kilojouls while you have them mate! How annoying when the scales say the wrong thing onthe right day.

Mr Squdipa, i had a little  at your "54" min walk. Mine varies on the day/route/energy levels but I almost always push the pram too.

Ahhhh I can't wait till I am out walking with a pram! I mainly use the treadmill these days (which I also love cause I sing my little heart out, which would look a bit silly around the botanical gardens

Saz that's great about the different ages... I really shouldn't presume anything until I've actually checked it out should I! I guess I am just going but the general population in this little hinterland town I live it... Maybe one day I will look into it

Now I go ton the scales this morning and was up again so annoying!

Belfie - when you stop expressing you will probably lose 2kg from your bb's straight away so there is an upside! I know if I weigh in the morning I am heavier than midday as DD2 hasn't drained the overnight milk supply by then.

    Sazz - yay - 300g is still a loss!

Mr S - LOL at the 54min Try to do it a bit faster each day to keep your heartrate increasing and burning more. I do 30 min on the treadmill at the gym and try to increase how far I can run in that time each week. I have gone from about 3km to 4.65km in 3 months!

Cherished - I am doing WW but not going to meetings as they don't suit me with the baby at the moment. I did do meetings about 12 years ago and there were men and women of all ages there. It was a great group.

Didnt get to the gym last night but only had a small portion of dinner i think portion control is a huge contributing factor to my weight.

    Netball tonight!

Mr S we (DP & I) have a similar walking track around our suburb, goes for about an hour and takes us around a huge lake/pond thingy and up and down lots of hills

Cherished im with you on the pushing a pram thing fingers crossed we can do it together soon hehe

Good job on the 300g Saz!!

The good comments are like a fuel to keep going arent they belfie!! I know it picks me up again and makes me keep going!

My weigh day is monday but i gained after my holidays cant wait to get back to netball tonight!!

    Hi everyone else

I was so bad last night!!! I did do heaps of walking though yesterday as we walked almost all day (can feel it in my legs today) but I came home and ate crap! A bag of chips and 2 WW ice cream tubs! oh dear!

I MUST be good today as weigh in is tomorrow. Planned a walk with some girls from mothers group this arvo so that I def do it.

I also have another question for the girls in here... Do you find when you get AF that your weight goes up??? I am worried this will also influence my weight this week as I feel so bloated.

You all sound like you are doing really well by the way.

Nai- that is fantastic that your fitness has increased so much as well!

Sazz, Belfie, Mr S, Nai- good work on weight loss this week!!

Ammaki- its hard on holidays in it. Sounds like you did well yesterday with your portions. THats my biggest prob as well.

I am doing WW and there is a bg range in my group from 20's to 60's. I love it. I go with a friend as well.

Going to try and start up and indoor netball team as well so that it can help me lose weight. Will see how I go with that.

i think portion control is a huge contributing factor to my weight
tehehe this made me giggle... because I have to say, I think chocolate is a huge contributing factor to my weight!! I try to have 2 teensy squares as my treat. But as DH pointed out, having 2 squares at a time, SIX times a day is NOT that small a treat gosh it's annoying when he's right!!

Nai - ooooh 2kg off boobs, I'd be in heaven. All my old pants are starting to fit, but I'm still bigger in the top, so it'd be great to get them down, then my old tops will fit too.

Ammaki - And yes, the comments are definitely fuel!
Cherished & Ammaki - crossing my fingers for you both that you'll be pushing a pram soon

My MIL (who needs to lose some weight) keeps asking me what I'm doing... and I thinks he keeps expecting to hear that i'm doing some fad or other... combining or something. She always looks vaguely disappointed when I say I'm just watching my points and only having little amounts of treats. Lol.

Ok so my plan today, a brisk walk in the lovely morning sunshine!

Lol belfie at the chocolate! I bought a big block whilst on holidays and left it at the house untouched!! I only remembered yesterday it was in the fridge haha thats my subconcious looking after me i think!

    Enjoy your walk!

I have done body pump in the past. I love the class but they're always so crowded. I love body balance... but I stopped because I was too fat lol. That is going to be my treat when I reach my half way mark.

Right now I'm just walking laps of my street. I live in a really hilly area - I was walking the hills but I have a 2 yr old I have to push and I landed in the physio with neck and shoulder issues so she canned the hill walking. I used to drive to a flat area but once I lost the first few kilos I progressed to my street. We have a divided road - one side is a nice steady incline and the other side is a bit up and down so it's a good work out. I'm also taping whatever workouts I find on foxtel and do them when I don't want to walk.

I know we're not supposed to weigh ourselves everyday but who doesn't do that? LOL. I was up yesterday and back to what I have been for nearly 7 days this morning. I give up lol.

My weakness is definitely chocolate. The kids went to a birthday party on the weekend and got those furry friends cadbury chocolate things in their bags which I stole (portion control heh). I ate one and am saving the next one for special lol. I know if I buy a whole pack they'll be gone in 3 days.

ETA Well done everyone - even if we haven't all lost, the motivation is still there!
