Great loss sas
hi girls
sas- that's fantastic! i can't wait till i'm 65kg, well done.
snuggly-what is veg gyoza? it sounds beautiful.
emmy- a pedometer sounds like a great idea. let me know if you get one, i'd love to know how much they are.
time4myself- i did light n easy just after i had my baby and lost 6kgs, i just couldn't do it any longer though. the thought of another frozen meal made me want to throw up! it definitely works though. how do you find it?
sazzafrazz-slowly is the best way to lose it i reckon. i'm aiming for a loss of about 0.5-0.7kg this week.
cherished- that smoothie sounds great, might have to give it a go myself.
is anyone else getting motivated by this lovely spring weather???
I brought a pedometer don't know if I like it yet. I think its telling me I am walking more then I really am in steps. It cost $15 but I think I should have brought the $45 which was more elaborate. I guess you get what you pay for.
I am about to go taste test some celery and carrot sticks dipped in salsa. I can't stop eating today. Have being trying to drink water in between yogurt, strawberrys, WW fruit bar and jelly. I am just so hungry. I am confort eating so now bring on the celery sticks dipped in salsa.
hmm AF just turned up and considering i didnt weigh any more or less this morning im hoping this means a bigger loss on the scales come Monday
i haven't had an af since december 2006 due to pg and bfing. crazy huh?
when she comes, she's gonna be a killer!!!!
i think that would def affect your weightloss ammaki. should be a good one next week!
Missed the show on channel 10. what was the basic idea? (I think I was on here actually!)
Cherished, LOL at your goddess dancing. I'm going looking for a weightloss ticker now... you've inspired me. Another great way to stay motivated if you like to check your GORG ticker regularly!
Happy birthday for tomorrow Snuggly!
Emmy. are you eating enough protein mate? It helps to keep you fuller for longer. Maybe try some lean meat in a sandwich or lentils in a vegie soup? I find if I just eat fruit etc I end up STARVING but actually consume a lot of WW points through the natural sugars in the fruits. KWIM? Have fun with your pedometer. I nearly wore the buttons out on mine when new from playing with the functions
Well done Sas. Pity it took agonizing on the floor in the night to get such a great number but, hey take it!!! hehehe.
porridge for me this morning, fat free iced coffee for snack, salad with 15g cheese at lunch, home made fried rice for tea tonight so I have heaps of points left to play with this arvo with snacks :)
Hello everyone
Mr Squid just wanted to say that you've done SO WELL with your weight loss 9.5 kg  woohooo! You must be so happy.
Ginger I have thought about light'n'easy and checked out their website but there wasn't many vego options so I think I would need more variety... That was 6 months ago though so it might have changed.... and HOLY MOLLY re af :o
Emmy I have a pedometer, I remember having to set how big my steps are so maybe you need to do that with your's?
Saz can't wait to see your ticker :p
sas you must be looking smoking hot these days, congrats honey you deserve it
and lastly but certainly not least SnugBug great to hear from you my lovely, I've missed you
Ginger I enjoyed LnE for the first few weeks but I'm SOOOO over their frozen dinners now. That's why I'm just doing the day food and cooking at night. It was a nice break not to have to cook for a few weeks and I lost 5 kg so I was happy with it.
Hey guys.
Emmy - I have used three different pedometers. Some have sensitivity settings that you turn up and down and some may need to be set to your walking stride. The more expensive ones aren't any better than el cheapo I have found. Small is best as they are harder to knock off your pants/belt. Changing pants will change how much they register. If yours is a simple vesion simply set it to zero, take 30 or so steps in what you are registering and see what the difference is. Say you are doing the 10,000 steps program - If it registers 20 to your 30 you only need to do 6666 of its registered steps to be doing 10K of real steps. If it registers 40 to your 30 you need to do 13333 of its registered steps to be doing 10K real steps. IYKWIM. Hope this helps. :)
thanks cherished yes i am feeling alot better already yes still a way to go but i am determined to get there
Hey Guys,
Sorry for my selfish post, I am here & reading, just had a full on day & I have my new Banjo boy to play with. I can tell I will rack up the exercise points with him, he sure is energetic, but in a gorgeous way!
I'll try catch you all tomorrow.
I didn't eat much yesterday due to nerves, which I found odd cos usually I'd eat to comfort myself, so I wonder if my mindset is shifting already??? Anyway, but because of that, today I am really quite hungry.
Love Jayne xx
Morning everyone :p
SnugBug :happybirthday: have a great day lovely
Mr Squid I have no doubt that you will reach your goal ;)
Jayne overcoing emotional eating was a big challenge for me so I hope you too have overcome it
AFM I wrote down a huge mind map yesterday and I think I have figured what approach I am going to take next... stay tuned and I'll let you know. Have a great day everyone
Jayne i am also an emotional eater and i have almost overcome this destructive habit May i suggest a few tips that you may want to use when you feel it coming on
when you get stressed out go for a walk or take out your emotional feeling while doing some type of exercise rather than eating
for a start you are burning off fat while you are venting you know getting it out of your system
so instead of punishing yourself reward yourself with exercise as crazy as that may sound trust me it works and you wont feel like a bloated whale because you have eaten far 2 much also a plus will be that the scales will be nice to you the following morning
Happy Birthday snugglybean hope your having a great day and getting spoilt.
Ginger I was snacking on salsa and celery and carrot sticks. Even little DD was eating them it was a fight for the last stick. Surprisingly they were pretty filling.
Despite the good start to the day I ate cream biscuits and lamb cuttlets and felt like I ruined my diet yesterday. Weighed myself this morning again and I hadn't gained any so thats something to be excited about. Ive got a wedding soon and Id love to not have the saddle bags showing in my dress by then lol.
Mr Squidipa thats a good idea about using exercise as a form of stress relief.
cherished can't wait to here about this mind-map of yours. Maybe it will be the next thing idea I steal (first was Gingers salsa dip and sticks)
:confetti: Happy Birthday Snug ;)
:happybirthday:Happy Birthday Snuggly!!!:happybirthday:
I went over by one point yesterday. Not too bad I guess. It's raining all day here so I may not get a walk. Will try when DH comes home so I can leave DD here. Can't wait for my Wii + fit to come off layby for day's like this when I can't get out. I will get plenty of use when it gets stinking hot.
I've had no oven for almost 2 months (long story, stupid electrical store) so I havent been able to bake my usual savoury muffins, cakes, biscuits etc. Probably a good thing but it does mean that I have been buying more from the shops. I prefer to bake my own so I know what's in it and make healthier variations. It should be fixed next week I hope. :fingers crossed:
Jayne, hope you're enjoying your new little furry man. How are you all settling in? have the nerves gone now? Give him a pat from me will you? I don't get any excercise from my dogs at all anymore. One is so old and the other has arthritis so they cant do big power walks anymore. They just get a run around the yard with each other and we chuck the ball.
