Welcome, Jaz.
Sas, I still weighed myself clothed last night. I really don't think it will be long before I see a 6... it's been a big motivation for me, especially as I'm starting to find my willpower is weakening. There was a fundraiser at church today where the little kids were selling all these delicious looking cakes... I resisted! I'm so proud of myself, but I'm consuming a bottle of coke zero right now so I can still get my sweetness hit. I finally remembered to take a bottle of water to church with me, and a special K bar... BBQ steak and salad for lunch (no bread for me), so I've been especially good today.
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and taking advantage of the beautiful sunshine to get out and exercise (or at least just spend some time with their family). I have to go tutor. :(

BW _ That is just a brilliant effort my friend! Stop being so mean to yourself! You are only 600g from seeing a 6 as the first number! It's time to start realising you ARE doing this!!!!
TIME4MYSELF _ Yes totally! If I am not kept busy, I keep thinking of food! I also haven't done much exercise this week as I have been too occupied playing with Banjo so I really am not looking for a big loss tomorrow on the scales. I'm really going to have to put some more effort into the exercise next week. Also, I haven't been drinking the water as much so of course I have been feeling more hungry. Grrr
MR SQUIDIPA _ That's a fantastic results to see how far you have come to notice you are more energetic with the kids! WTG!
GINGER _ The eclairs are actually in the icecream aisle. In our supermarket they are near the puddings & things. They are really really yummy & I will grab a box to take to friends places so I can indulge in something naughty that won't damage my points too much.
CHERISHED _ I don't like fizzy drinks either, I hate the way it makes my teeth feel afterwards? Abotu the only fizzy drink I will have is Lemonade & I only buy that on the rare occassion. Although, be careful because a lot of the juices are just as bad. I find just sticking to water & a cup of tea works for me. I don't want to spend all my points on drinks!
JAZ _ Welcome!
DANNI _ We have a similar amount of weight to lose. I am hoping to lose 25kg all in total, it's nice to hear somebody with the same amount to lose.
I'm sorry if I have missed anybody, I have to get my girls ready for a birthday party, I'm going to have lunch before i go to stop myself pigging out on party food. It's my weigh day tomorrow so I have already had a talk to myself about how stupid it would be to muck up weigh day for 2 hours at a party. LOL
Wish me luck!

Hi gang and welcome to the new people!
Sorry I can't manage much in the way of personals today... Dh and DD have gastro so I am very tired and must hang out MORE washing while she is asleep! We went to chinese last night and I was super organised and planned what I was going to eat beforehand, using my WW eatingout guide. I'm glad I did cause I could relax and enjoy my choices knowing I had enough points. Plus I was very proud to order chinese tea instead of dessert when everyone else had something. I didnt even feel ripped off :D
Had a smallish walk today but am eating well. Not sure about tea: might be the only on in the house eating!
Be good people and good luck to those weighing tomorrow

Sazz, I hear the gastro diet is really effective! :p In all seriousness, I do hope you manage to stay well and that DH and DD are well very soon. It's so not fun to deal with.
Jayne, I guess you are right... I think I'm just a little stunned at how quickly things are moving, and it's encouraging, but also a little scary. Scary because I'm moving out of my comfort zone. Scary because it's all too easy to start relaxing and sneaking in a few naughty bits and pieces here and there... I'm hoping DH will join me soon and it should become easier then. Meanwhile, I'm encouraging eating at home as often as possible as then I don't have to watch him eat chips or something like that... Stir fries are becoming a staple dinner here - just meat and veg with a sauce - seriously low on carbs and really quick to prepare.
When it comes to drinks... you'd be surprised how quickly the calories can add up as soon as you start having juice, mineral water or soft drink. I'm like Jayne in that I have a cup of tea in the morning and then stick to water. I aim to get through 2L per day, but usually fall short at about the 1.5L mark. Getting the extra water in really makes a difference in terms of weight loss, though! I do treat myself to a coke zero some days - for the caffeine hit and it usually meets the sweet cravings without me hitting the carbs. But water really is your friend when it comes to weight loss, I have found.

Hi everybody
Are most of you doing the WW's point system? I've done that once before and found it to be really effective. This time I'm trying something different, but if it doesn't work out I'll probably do WW's again.
-
jaz- i'm not doing any particular diet, i'm basically just eating really healthy and cutting out all the junk :) if i don't get results over the next month, then i'm going to join ww.
-
im the same as ginger!
Got my gym incentive card stamped for the 5th time today in 4 days! I cant believe I am still going. I really am gunna do this
-
I'm not doing WW - I record what I eat in a website called calorie king. It's basically a food diary. I have limits for calories, fats, carbohydrates and protein and try to stick within them. The limits were set out for me by my FS a few years back and it's a program that works for me.

bw - I've been recording my food intake on Calorie King as well. I love it! I got a lovely suprise when i added gardening and housework for my exercise for the day. It reduced my calorie intake by half! Are you then supposed to eat more to take you up to the Calories you're supposed to consume? I noticed that I didn't get a green tick when that happened.
Danni - that's excellent!
Ginger - I'd say you should do well just following that plan - especially as you'd be getting lots of excercise chasing after L . (i'm exhausted at the end of the day just from chasing Hannah around!!)
-
Jaz, I think you are supposed to eat a bit more to make up for exercise. I've noticed that you only get a green tick if you stay within a certain amount of the suggest calorie total. I can't do it. I just can't physically eat that much! I've also noticed that it doesn't change the nutrient levels down the bottom and it really distresses me if I exceed the carb limit so I don't worry too much about the overall calories... I just make sure that I eat stuff to fit within the limits and don't starve myself. If I'm hungry, I eat.

thanks jayne and ginger all the best of the weigh in to night
weight in day for me in the morning
-
BW _ Yes, it's about time you realise that you are peeling the weight off very nicely! Your diet sounds somewhat calculating balancing your protein, carbs, sugars etc... Is it that hard or I'm just not the brightest spark??
JAZ _ This is my 3rd time at WW  but on my first attempt I lost 25kg for my wedding. I plan on this being my last time & I have a gf who is doing it with me & we plan on being in the WW magazine one day as we both love reading the success stories! hahaah
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention to you all, have you set yourselves a 'Goal Weight Reward'? I have set myself something really special, as you know I plan on losing 25kg so when I hit my goal weight I want something really, really good to reward myself but I haven't been able to work out what I want, until a few days ago & I have decided that when I am at my goal weight of 65kg I am treating the 4 of us to a family photo shoot. We haven't had them done yet as I don't want pictures of me on the wall in the current state I am, so what better reward than a photo shoot & hopefully a very nice picture of me looking fab with my family on my loungeroom wall!
Weigh in tomorrow, wish me luck!
-
yes i have set rewards for reaching certain goals instead of rewarding myself with food i reward myself with something else like buying new clothes or something like that
-
I haven't set myself any big goals... I do have a mini-goal of once I'm under 70kg I can go buy new underwear. :P
Jayne, it's not actually that hard - you just tell calorie king what you've eaten and it does the nutrient break down for you. I found it hard at first, but after a while you start to learn what you can eat and stay within the limits...

A loss of 600 grams for me... I put on 100g yesterday  I think my late dinner might have been the problem. Anyway I'm happy to see a loss without actually dieting!
Goodluck everyone else :goodluck:
Jayne I have a reward money system... When I reach my goal weight I will have earnet around $600 and I intend to go on a clothes shopping spree :D
-
600gm gain for me. I think the 3pieces of cake I ate last night did it. After 6days of eating well you would think that would have being enough never mind. A new week. May change my weighin day till Friday.
Congrats Cherished on your weight loss amd everyone else who is about to pop in and with theirs.
-
oh dear I've been AWOL, but I'll blame visitors
I've been doing ok, not too many blowouts. Just caught up on the last 3 pages of posts lol! Sounds like everyone is doing great, welcome to the new folks, this thread is just the place to be!
Well I've got a 100g gain this week...BUT, I haven't expressed yet today, so that's worth probably 200-300g anyways. Shall have to move my weigh-in day, as I start back at work next Mon. I'm trying to decide between Sunday & Tuesday. I finally went through my stored clothes to see what fits. Found some old friends... and some old friends which still gave me a cake-top :( oh well. Then realised I was really bloated yesterday so tried them on again this morning... so much better YAY!
Jayne - that's such a good point re goal rewards. I've been fluffing around ever since I hit an ok BMI (and I've actually been back in the overweight BMI category the last few weeks). Think I got complacent  so that's it, I'm setting a new goal to focus myself. I've also had a little spree ready for work - new handbag, hairdo, shoes, jacket... so I'm feeling fabulous ready for next week... maybe just another .5kg loss this week to top it off hey?
All those WW desserts sound so yum. All the ones I've looked at, I couldn't eat (ingredients i can't do), so guess I'll stick with my diet coke & teensy squares of dark choc.
GL for all the weigh-ins today!!!
-
Haha cherished, atleast your DH ate them so you couldnt!! 600g!
Thanks T4M, im going to have to record that one!! 200g is still a loss! My loss was 300g so not far from you
Jayne, i got the pics! Banjo is sooooo adorable! LOVE the photo of your DD and Banjo in the kennel haha so cute!! No goals for me yet, i guess im used to not getting anywhere with diets so i havent bothers, but im actually making great tracks so far!
Hi Danni!! Im about the same as you weight wise, my 'ideal weight' is about 50kg less too, sounds like wayy too much to be carrying around hehe. Good job heading to the gym everyday! Ive been a little slack in that department!
Woohoo for finding the scales BW!!
Hiya Jaz! Lol at you tipping DHs coke down the sink!! I joined WW online :) love it!
Sorry to hear about DD & DH sazz! I hope they recover soon!
Aww cake will do that Emmy, it is EVIL! I was thinking of chaning my weigh day to Friday too lol, my weekends seem to be my downfall food wise!
Ginger howd your weigh in go?
Hi to everyone else
AFM, down 300g. Not a huge loss but its a loss so gotta be happy with that? I said earlier but my downfall is the weekends, im fine at work during the week as i can check everything points wise where as when im out and about im flying blind!! Just gotta educate myself a bit more!
