Motivation still low, but it shouldn't be. Yesterday I got asked if I was pregnant again. :crying:
Doing a bit better at getting the balance right for the day - yesterday I actually even had to have toast to snack on in the afternoon as my carbs were so low (went over on the protein, but that's not a huge problem for me).
It's just that a friend of mine, who is pretty much my height was boasting on facebook this morning about being under 60kg for the first time since she had her children... for a start, I don't think it's a healthy weight for her, and it makes me start to think unrealistically in terms of my own goals.
*sigh*
I'm hoping that when I get around to Friday again and weigh in (if I ever find the scales again after our move in February - I know they are in the garage somewhere!), if there's some loss I'll find a little more motivation. I also haven't yet had the energy kick that I usually get when I start eating better... I feel like I'm really stuck at that hard point where you can't see or feel any results yet and it's so hard to stay motivated (especially when DH sits in front of you and eats a greasy hamburger and chips over the weekend!).
Ammaki, well done for getting back on track!
Nai, I hope the walking manages to balance out any damage from the wineries. Enjoy the holiday!

Hi everyone,
BW - I know exactly what you mean. Especially re: temptation. I was doing so well last thursday and then DH went and got my favourite pizza and corn chips with dip. I just couldn't resist it. But he knows now that I find that situation too hard. But you will get there. The good thing about counting calories is you learn which foods just aren't worth the energy that they contain. A good example is normal mayo which has so much fat in it (a tablespoon has about 20g) compared to low fat mayo which tastes the same (less than 1g fat). I would rather have a piece of cake than full fat mayo. Don't worry you will get there and don't worry about other people's goals. Just think of your next goal or even just next week's goal as the long term goals can be de-motivating if that is all you focus on.
Sending you lots of energy vibes.
Well I weigh in tomorrow and am really not sure what I will be as it has been a few weeks since my last weigh-in on my official scales. My goal is to be 69.something. But not sure if I am there yet.
Anyway wishing everyone a good weigh-in this week. :)
-
well I'm officially .9kg down from last Monday (even though I knew I was down last week - and was celebrating then ). And yes, still in healthy BMI land.... yaaaaaay.
DH had a blow-out for his birthday - 1.7kg up (which is nearly everything he'd lost so far). So back on the wagon this week.
Good luck for everyone's weigh-ins.

Wow that is awesome Belfie!!!

I weighed in today and guess what! I saw a 6 in front of my weight!! Granted, it was 69.98  but a 6 nonetheless! So I lost .02 since Friday - at least I didn't put on in spite of my bad weekend and it is still .35 down from last Monday. I can go on holiday feeling happier now.
-
Great work, Nai! I'm hoping I can join you with a 6 in front in a few more weeks! I wouldn't care if it was 69.99, just so long as it starts with a 6!

Hi Everyone!
Just wanted to pop in and introduce myself! After having my 6 y/o I put on 30kgs :( (15 during pg then 15 after). then added another 16kgs when pg with my 4 y/o. Then I lost 16kg and fell pg with my 6month old. I've put on 8kgs this time so I'm still lighter than I was at my heaviest. So here I am and I'd like to loose 34kgs (and thats still not going to make to that skinny ) but one step at a time and I'll get there. So my 1st goal is to loose 5kg. I'm going to use the Calorie King website to count calories and I start boot camp at my local fernwood tomorrow! New fitter healthier bod here I come..... Oh and when I get this weight off I'm going to reward myself with bub's number 4 and a home birth :D

Have another day where I feel like I've blown it... No exercise, under on calories (I think that's my only positive), slightly over on my carbs... Under on the protein but I feel like if I consume any more in a day I'll puke! Probably over on the fat, too...
All thanks to one regular, skim chai latte at Gloria Jeans while riding out a storm...
But, on the other side of things... I've had trouble all day with my jeans falling down. Surely It's too soon in less than a week to have had any sort of noticeable impact on my waistline?
Welcome, julie_ann_jules. I hope calorie king works for you. I remember the first time I tried to record my meal in it I just sat and cried, but it's easy once you get the hang of it.

Hello Ladies............. I have officially come to join you all. I have joined WW Online today & I'm keeping it secret from all my IRL friends (except a gf who joined with me). I lost 25kg with WW prior to my wedding (7 years ago), & I felt fabulous! 2 children & a husband working overseas later & I have put it ALL back on again. So here I am! Today was my first day & I feel great already (I think today is just in the mind! It's too early to tell).
BW _ Fancy meeting you here darlin'!

I'm fighting that spiral of "why bother" today. It's my own fault - we went to Hogs Breath for Father's Day lunch lol. I was good with my food choice, drank water and shared a dessert but it showed up on the scales. Grrrr! Will I ever be able to enjoy eating ever again?? LOL.
Welcome to our new members!

Welcome Jules & Jayne!
Well done on your loss Mr S!
BW - today is a new day. Don't stress about yesterday - it all evens out over the week. You could have lost weight around your waist. I found it was the first place to go on me - probably because you tend to carry extra there from the pregnancy.
I'm off on holidays today - see you all next week.

Hi everyone. Well I weighed myself last night on my home scales and was pretty hopeful that when I weighed in at work this morning I would see a 6 at the front - only to find I have gone up to 71.1kg. I feel devastated honestly and have had a big cry. Feel like I have been here forever up and down the same kg. Each bit I put on puts me back two weeks (the week I go up and the week to get back to where I was).
But anyway what can you do? I went for a bike ride on Sunday and it seemed to be fine for my ankle and hopefully I will be ok to play soccer this Friday but I know I won't be 100% because my foot still grumbles at certain positions. But DH has decided today that he would like to lose 10kg so hopefully at least he won't ask for junk food and the eating part will be less hard.
Anyway hope everyone is doing better than grumpy ol' me today.
Bye!

Oh Oh Oh I have to share my woo hoo as I'm feeling good today . . I have shaken (juuuuust) the 66's for the first time - 65.9kg yesterday and this morning for me :leap: Now if I can just shake that extra 2.5 and if the damn bank will just approve our mortgage already - we will start TTC #2 and I will do something with my hair. I now fit back into ALL my clothes :D Although my smallest work pants I'm not overly keen on sitting down as get a bit of a muffin top goin when I sit but am very excited still.
We went out on a real date on Sunday to a fancy seafood restaurant here and I was worried about it - but I had fancy oysters as entree and my main was mainly just a large beautiful piece of salmon with a green curry sauce and zuccinni gratin with only a teeny bit of potato - which all suited my low carb requirement (though not so low cal but one's better than the other) so all ended up being fine and was soooo nice to put on a little black dress and have a nice quiet dinner with DH was great for the soul.
Krys - I'll bet it's just fluid retention hun - don't let it get you down too much we all have ups and downs - my last few posts were pretty down about not moving off my plateau for 3 weeks but it will happen for you, if you've been emotional on top of it it sounds even MORE like hormones causing fluid retention.
Welcome Newbies!
Overall sounds like congrats are due for Mr squid, Nai, Belfie, Amaki
I am avoiding doing an assignment I need to submit to OTEN so had better stop wasting time and make use of bub's nap time. BBL.
