OK, so my reward, despite being waaaaaay too broke to afford it... New pair of ski pants! I just have to decide exactly what my goal weight is. Timeline will be before Christmas, when we leave for our Japan ski and shenanigans holiday.
When I bought my current ski pants, I weighted about 86kg. I'm now 68 - so I have to wear them with the braces just so they'll stay on! I reckon I'll be able to justify a new pair. But at what weight? Maybe 64kg?
This time last year, I set a 5kg weight loss goal before we started TTC. I got it, we started, and then I hit my long-time goal of 69kg the day we got our BFP. So I'm happy with where I am but know I can go further. So, what do we say, ladies and gent? What's your opinion?

butterfly_worrior sending you a but kicking as you requested;)
ginger come on you now you can do it
sazz come on you can do it

SAZZ _ Don't worry, I gained 500g this week & I cried. I even turned the scales on & off again to check battery wasn't playing up. I am/was gutted. However, this week will get the 500g & hopefully a smidge more off.
Sorry I haven't posted, I am just very upset with my gain!
-
:hug:awww dont be disheartened Jayne! Think of it as motivation, im sure you'll do great this coming week!! xo
-
Jayne - could it be that you are building up some muscle? Doesn't that often show up as weight gain?
cherished - it's hard when you have to go out - but I guess, you've got to enjoy life sometimes too. I'm sure you'll lose it again fast enough :)
ginger - just think of all those Country Road clothes you can buy when you've reached goal weight. Just jump on L's trampoline for 10 minutes a day. That should do the trick ;)
sazza - it will happen for you. Pooh to the lady at the chinese restaurant - and yay to the person who noticed your weight loss.
bw - it must be difficult for you being in so much pain - (and from another thread I see you'll be a little stressed this weekend too) Sounds like you are in control though.
belfie - i'm enjoying doing CK. I love seeing how many calories I can spend by doing some excercise. I'm finding also that they have a lot of brands in their data base.
Krysalyss - great job on the 800g loss.
mr S - 11cm in a month is fantastic! I much prefer to go by centimetres than kilos.
afm - my willpower is high at the moment - having the kids and dh home on holidays , and they are enjoying cakes, chips etc, and i'm being very good.
My problem though is that i feel bloated each evening, and i'm not sure what it is. (although it should be easy to pinpoint as i'm not eating too much ) I had a pepsi max yesterday and I was in so much pain last night. It's not helping with measuring myself, because my stomach looks like a beach ball.
does anyone know where i might find some gluten free recipes with the nutrition analysis?
-
JAZ _ I don't have any recipes but I'm sure at the good newsagents there would be magazines that are published with recipes in? Failing all that, I'm sure google would give you a million hits for something??
Well done on staying strong with school holidays. I have a 'thing' with myself that the KIDS have a treat box & I tell myself it's the KIDS treat box, not a Mummy Box & so whatever is in there, stays in there for the kids. I treated myself to some WW cookies this week & also some Belgian Eclairs that are proudly still all intact & the box hasn't even been tampered with. Hehehehe
It has to be muscles, that's all it can be. I did stuff up my points on one day, but I have so much to lose I really doubt that ONE stuff up would put 500g on me. I did make myself do 12km on the rower on Monday night as penance & I rode Jess to & from school on Tuesday, & before I picked her up I had a ride around. So I am exercising again & also drinking the water, so that should help. Tomorrow I am off to see Beyonce so I'm not even going to do any exercise tomorrow because I am going in the dance pit so that is exercise enough! hahaah
MR SQUID _ WOOOOOT WOOOOOOOO!!!!!! On so many cm's coming off! Time for some new clothes me thinks!
-
Jayne - wow you do so much exercise! Good on you! Lucky you going to Beyonce - I was just dancing around the house to Single Ladies trying to copy her dance moves!! You should get a good workout, especially being in the dance pit.
I'll have a look at the newsagents. I tried google, but there doesn't seem to be too many diet friendly gluten free recipes. I could just be looking in the wrong place though.
-
Jayne that 500gram gain would be muscle dont worry you will have a lost next week
-
JAZ _ see I think the problem with me is that the exercise I choose to do is muscle building exercise, i think I need more cardio/fat burning ones? I am just waiting til Banjo is fully immunised so I can take him for walks along the beach & stuff like that? I'm also thinking of getting a skipping rope so I can do some skipping. I really need to get onto the treadmill again. It's just finding time!
MR SQUID _ I better see a loss on the scales monday morning, it's going to be my birthday & will be a seriously horrid start to the day if I start it with a gain! lol
-
Thanks people, that's just what I needed to read!
Jayne don't be too hard on yourself mate! I reckon it's muscle too by the way you are exercising like a mad thing!!!! Skipping rope would be great. I have one but cant use it with C wanting to get in the way all the time. You are soooo motivated at the moment, it's great to hear!
Jaza: have you altered your diet otherwise to make you feel bloated? Maybe if you have changed to a lot of "diet" foods your body is not liking the artificial sweeteners etc? I'm pretty sure you could find a recipe book at the newsagents for gluten free though. Women's weekly have a book for everything now!

Howdy folks just a quick one as I am off to work after my little holiday (and weight gain) so I wanted to declare myself accountable again for loosing it!
SnugBug sound like you've got a great plan and a very good reward to keep you going :D
Jayne I'm with everyone else, I think it's muscle, I know it's disappointing but I always think of the biggest looser and even they have a gain and a plateau at some stage, don't give up
-
don't worry jayne- we all have little gains along the way- think of it more as how much you have lost in total at the end of the month iykwim?
jaz- i'm pumped to buy lots of CR clothes at the end of this! LOL
-

OK, so I was a little excited about that skirt, but have to share this story with you all...
Yesterday, one of my staff went to the local op shop in her lunch break (she didn't like the top she was wearing so HAD to buy another one ) While there, she saw a dress that she thought I would like, so sent me over there in my lunch break. The dress she mentioned was an 8, but right opposite it was a similar dress in a 10. I thought "why not?" and I tried it on, and it fit like it was made for me. A cinderella-glass slipper moment. I took it home and showed DH, who was just gushing over how incredible it looked.
It feels AWESOME to look so good! I haven't been this skinny since I was 12. It's been hard work, but it is SO WORTH IT! I want you all to feel this way too, when you reach your goals, so get out there, and walk/run/swim/cycle/aerobicise/whatever you do.
And I hope we see some losses on Monday! :grouphug: All for one!
-
Awwwww SnugBug what a fantastic post!!! WOW so inspiring especiallly the "cinderella-glass slipper moment" comment :confetti: I had one of those when I went shopping the other week and bought the ball gown... I felt amazing in it! Whilst it looks great now I'd Just love to loose a couple of kg's before then and I will be so dazzeling my dh will need to keep all the men away from me  Again I'm so proud of you to have achieved and fell so good about it! You deserve it my lovely friend xoxo
JBM so nice to hear from you honey, you're doing really well so keep it up

It's not my weigh in day until tomorrow... but I had Sam weighed today, and it looks like our weight changes are the wrong way around this week! He's had a loss, and I suspect I'll have a gain! They tell me not to worry about Sam, due to his age and size and the fact that he just spent a week barely eating anything due to teething...
My excuse... the arthritis flare that left me in agony for two days and completely exhausted for a third. I'm trying to be gentle with myself, and I'm really just crossing my fingers and hoping that I can hold steady if I can't manage a loss this week, but I have a sneaking suspicion I'm looking at a gain. Don't know that there's much I can do about it - I need to have a big dinner tonight to help me cope with the methotrexate. *sigh*
Will probably go visit DH at work today to check Sam on the same scales as last time and may pluck up the courage to chuck myself on as well. I think it will be another week before I see a 6.

BW - Elly lost at least a couple of hundred grams probably more due to the tummy bug but mainly due to the lack of appetite that followed it for over a week. The last couple of days she has drank over a Litre!!! of Formula (Massive for her she usually drinks half that) and been eating (not heaps but some) again. They are right - even if they lose a bit because of sickness or teething, they will get back on track again eventually but it is hard not to worry. You're doing so well with the pain and med issues still sticking in there.
Snugglybean - That is fantastic! People who have always been skinny don't understand how magnificent a moment like that can be - knock em out girl.
-
whoooooooooooooo go sugglybean that is awesome:clap::dance:
