-
Sazz looks great... Actually you Krys and snug are all doing loads of exercise  I thoguth I wouldn't say I would do stuff because I feel extremely guilty if I don't reach my goals so I have said things I know I can achieve to make me feel great about myself and be motivating.... SO whilst I look soft (hhehehhehehe) I'm really not
I've been going great this week, especially with my eating, feeling so proud of myself and am sure I will have a loss next Monday

Oooohhh, Nai, a triathlon! There's an awesome one up here in Q in Feb. Half of me would love to be ready for that - the other half would really prefer to be pg by then! I'll train and try to be ready, and if I'm not pg, I'll do it. It's the running that sucks. So hard to train in brissy summer. BUT quitting work at year's end so might be able to go in the early mornings, before it hits 30.
I was thinking, Krys, that with the 12 week challenge we probably should have a separate thread. I wouldn't want anyone to feel discouraged or excluded for coming on board in the middle of it. We could have a front page with participants on it, and we could all come back in here at the end of it.
I had another swimming day yesterday (read:crying day) and did 27 hard laps. Only stopped because I got a cramp in my foot. So proud of myself - next week I'll make it to 30 for sure.
Got my new bike jersey for the Brissy to Gold Coast yesterday too, and man is it spiffy. I just feel faster in it.

I've been thinking that I would love to set exercise goals, but with my arthritis dictating what I can do, and with it being so fickle depending on the weather (the down side of less prednisone), it's probably going to be more depressing for me if I set goals and aren't able to meet them... So, on second thoughts, I'll join in the cheer squad for those of you doing the 12 weeks and just continue doing what I've been doing so far.
With my weigh-in being Friday/Saturday depending on when I can be bothered... I had a sneaky jump on the scales yesterday and was horrified to see them reading 71kg. But I jumped on in a more organised fashion this morning (ie, before breakfast) and found them to be not zeroed correctly (reading 1kg high), fixed that and got a very, very pleasant 69kg flat this morning.
  I'm in the sixes!
This means I should be going out to buy new underwear... but I've just ordered a heap of cross-stitch fabric instead. Oops!
Snugg, I hope things are improving for you. Is there someone else at work who can do the talking for you to fix your problem?

SnugBug if you're referring to the Noosa Tri let me know if you come up for it! I'd love to catch up with you :p
BW wooohoooo for the 60's
Re the 12 week challenge... I think Trillian looked after the last one??? maybe ask her if there is another one planned?

HI girls
IM jumping aboard cause I need some support.
In total Ive got 40kg to lose...but I want to set a mini goal of 20 first.
I lost 15kg in total by May but having a cyst on my bowel and now a fissure has made me put 5 back on...I hate not being able to exercise and feeling depressed = eating more naughty food :(
Sooooooo
I HAVE TO STOP
and get back on the wagon.
Ive also started a thread for the girls going to the Gold coastmeet up in June next year cause we were all saying we needed it.
SO please let me stay..I need help :(
-
Che - I can't remember which one it is, last year someone just handed me an entry form. It sounded not too hard, 20km ride (pfff, do that every day) 1.5km swim (needs a little more buildup, but do-able) and 5km run (the hard bit, I struggle to go over 3) I'm pretty sure it's up the sunny coast.
BW - 69 is awesome!
69 is like a magical number for me, it was this ethereal long term goal that seemed so unachievable back in 05 when I started this crusade. Now, I pinch myself when i see that I'm below it. I remember being 65kg when I was 13, so at the end of this challenge I will be skinnier than when I started high school. If I manage to knock the weight off, which I think I can. Jumped on the scales at 1am (couldn't sleep, too hot, too distracted, too much coffee) and have managed to get right down to 67 now, and challenge not even started!
-
Jump on board Maz! I'll give you a piggy back!
Actually, seriously, that was a major high for me - I went on a hens night a few weeks ago and was dared to get s stranger to give me a piggy back. In the past, I would have been so embarrassed (even at 69kg I think it's a pretty big ask) but now, I just went for it - and the guy didn't even flinch!
So, where I'm going with this is... throughout my weightloss journey, I have kept a journal of goals, interim goals, ideas for how to improve, and I always had a page which I called "Sources of Joy" On it, I wrote anything that had made me feel awesome, no matter how petty or catty. One that I will always remember was going to a BBQ and looking hotter than Mrs X, my ex's now-wife. It felt good, it was a little nasty, but it helped to motivate me. Other perkier ones were things like "Did 10 laps in the pool without stopping!"
-
welcome maz you will have plenty of help and support in here
i am loving everyones rewards
-
Sorry only just here for a moment. But Snugg I think you are right and we should do another thread. :)
Catch up with you all tomorrow as I have changed my weigh-ins to Saturday for this challenge.
Bye!

:welcome: Maz
 I'm so excited that I've had 4 days of fantastic eating! I just need to take it one day at a time and I'm feeling so good about it.
Snug after reading your post I feel like going for a swim :p I'm waiting for af to go away and than will head to the pool for a dip and a few laps. dh needs to do a fitness test for his work too so he will come along :p

Finally some movement!
:leap: Wooohooo I know my weigh day isn't until Monday but I got on the scales this morning and I have lost 2.1kg since Monday and I'm so excited about it! Finally my pretty ticker is actually moving and I feel like I will actually reach my goal :D Far out I would just love to budge another 400 grams by Monday and and see a 6 in front of my weight :crossfingers:
Hope everyone is doing great :D
-
Yay Cherished - well done!!
Welcome Maz!!!
-
Go cherished! Even if you don't get into the magic sixes for Monday, you know they aren't too far away. You can do it very soon!
The pain is horrendous this morning... I think it's going to take me a while to recover from this one - curse this Sydney weather. I suspect I'm going to have to go into maintenance mode for a while and get back into weight loss when I'm feeling better. Really not happy about it, but the only other choice I have is to increase the prednisone. Both feel like a backward step right now.
