Where is everybody? prob out exercising! hhaahahah
Ha ha! I am still here but haven't got much to report. Will weigh in tomorrow but not sure what I will see. Started back cycling this week and soccer tonight. Ankles held up well with a brace. Hoping to do some aerobics tomorrow, cycle to work on Sunday and then futsal on Monday.
I had a bad first half on the week eating wise but since I started exercising again I have been a lot more motivated to eat well. Plus so much awesome fruit is coming out and I love my fruit! I made a lovely fruit salad with mango, pineapple, apple, pear, kiwi, orange and grapes. So divine!
Krys, you are right - summer is a good motivator as the weather gets better and the fruit is soooo good! I am hanging out for mangoes, nectarines and peaches.
Well I have started doing some work as a swimming teacher and did my first shift of 2.5hours in the pool on Thursday - it is pretty tiring. I also went for a run beforehand (make the most of kids in childcare!) and did 5km in 30:55 so I only have to knock 55second off my time for my goal - woohoo!!!
Nai that is a great running time!
Well I only lost 100g this week. But I am hoping I have lost some fat and gained some muscle. I have lost 1cm around my tummy (the bane of my body) so am stoked about that despite the small loss.
It is so smoky here though with a few fires around. Hope it clears a bit for tomorrow otherwise I won't be cycling in it.
I got a nice comment today from a coworker- always good!
We are having a bit of a luxury dinner tonight as it is our anniversary tomorrow. Not too much bad stuff though - just super yummy steamed dumplings, greens and mushrooms, and some seaweed wrappers, and some mock duck. Sooo yummy! And DH is the best cook.
Anyway see you all tomorrow when we will all be just that little bit thinner. LOL
NAI _ WTG with the running, how awesome! I'm still not up to running in public, especially as well as Banjo is still too young to take out in public places, so I have been doing my rower instead. I got a Wii Active for my birthday but as I have been so ill, I haven't done any exercise in over 2 weeks. I plan on starting back with the exercise tomorrow.
KRYSALYSS _ That's fantastic that people are starting to notice your weight loss. If you have gone back into the pool, you have probably gained some muscle rather than taken a whole pile of kg's off, does that make sense?
Hope all is having a great weekend! It's my weigh in tomorrow & I know my 1.9kg loss last week was mainly fluid from being sick, I really hope to keep that all off, but to be realistic, I think it's better to just hope I didn't go past my previous weigh in, I hope that makes sense?
Love Jayne x
:hello: hello everyone!
It sure is quiet in here... I have only posted once or twice in the challenge thread too as I've really stepped back from BB while DH was on leave from work... Instead I have been hanging out with him, eating really well and not going crazy bding for ttc ;) I'm really happy with how my weight loss is going, I tried on some jeans today that haven't fitted for 5 months and was absolutely over the moon that I can now wear them again :hooray:
Well done on the losses in here! Swimming, running, rowing and getting compliments is all just wonderful
EDIT a couple of days later!!! YAY I am wearing my old work pant today too woooohoooo!!!
Woo hoo Cherished! That is awesome.
Well I have been pretty good this week. Have done all of my required exercise except for Friday night soccer but am going to fit in an extra cycle tomorrow. Was a bit bad last weekend but have been really good since then so fingers crossed. Anyway hope everyone is doing well with all of their moving and eating. Bye!
Thanks Krys :D
YAY for the beach :hooray: I've been the last 2 days in a row and I just looooove it!!! looking and feeling good with a tan and will be seeing a 68 in front of my weight over the next week so YAYAYAYYA!!!
How is everyone going? it is really quiet in here hope you are all still on the wagon :p
Where have all my weight loss friends gone :crying:
I hope you are all doing great, I had my weigh day today and I'm another 700grams lighter and well and truly in the 69's, I think next week I will see a 68 in front of my weight YAY :hooray:
Woohoo - way to go Cherished!! Sorry, I keep playing over in the Xmas challenge thread :D
Weighed in today and lost another 300g so am 66.7 woohoo!!! Even though I had a big weekend at my scholl reunion I still had a loss so I am rapt :leap:
Hi Nai :) Yes I found you over in the cxmas thread :p So did you knock 'em dead at the reunion? You must have felt great and good for you!!! Hope you've still got a BIG smile on your face! :D
Hi girls,
Yeah I have been over in that thread too. Sorry! Am away for a few days so will try to pop in next weekend. Bye!
:happyforyou: Thought I'd share that I have hit the 68's!!!! So excited! It is actually where I started when I got my second BFP this year so I have officially lost the weight from the 2nd pregnancy :hooray: ahhhhhh it feels like's a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders hehhehe literally! Now I can't wait till Monday to see if I get any lower than 68.8kg's
Sorry I haven't been around... Work has been very hectic, doing some very long days, so finding it hard to focus on losing! Got done to 67, haven't got any further yet though.
i am here just been hanging back a bit
Hi there. Mind if I join in??? I'm in some real need of motivation and I'm hoping by joining this thread it may help.
A little run down on me....
I have lost 10.8kgs over the past 18 weeks. I am 0.8kgs away from my original goal weight of 64kgs. Though I would like to make it to 62kgs. I have really been struggling to keep motivated the past 5 weeks or so & my weight has just stabilised. I am still eating healthy, just a little too much.
Looking forward to getting to know you all
Welcome, Georgi.
I'm still sort of hanging about. Did I mention that I was a slow healer? Well, the foot is still causing me grief, but I'm finally at the point where I can walk around to do what needs to be done with my foot heavily bandaged and be ok. It's just a very, very slow process. Exercising is still pretty much beyond me, unfortunately.
So, I'm trying to do everything now just by sensible eating. And I've been so exhausted that I haven't been all that sensible lately (we won't mention the chocolate coated sultanas and peanuts and apple danishes that passed my lips this week!). I did my usual weigh-in this morning, even though I stopped doing the calorie king thing a while back. I didn't expect to actually lose, was hoping to stay the same and have not gained anything... got the shock of my life when I saw another 7 in there!
Nope, didn't gain, have actually DROPPED weight. Another 1kg this week, now down to 67kg. Only 2kg more to go, and I think I can expect that to go by Christmas. Damn shame that STILL none of my clothes fit. I think it may just be time to face facts in that I have wider hips now than I did before Sam and it just may not be possible for me to get back into everything I wore in the pre-Sam days.
BW
Sorry for doubling up (for the xmas thread girls) but I reached 66kg this week taking me to a total of 20kg since I began last xmas. I only have 6kg to go. It is coming off pretty slowly now but as long as I keep losing cms around my tummy I will be happy.
Anyway must run as am on dial up and everything takes forever. Hope you are all doing well. Bye!
:welcome: Georgi this thread can be great motivation, goodluck I'm sure you will reach your goal, you've already done so well loosing 10.8kg
Krys that is just wonderful! 66kg wooohoooo!!!
BW a 1kg loss while you are being a bit naughty is fantastic, good on you... Can your hips actually grow after having a baby? Lord I hope not because I'm already challenged :(
:hello: hello sungbug & mrsquid
AFM I ended up recording my weight at 68.7kg on Monday which is great, since then it went up a bit and today was back down to 68.8kg, so I am feeling confident I will see another loss on Monday as I plan to eat well and do at least a walk each day until then... so I'd better be off and get on the treadmill :leap:
Thanks for the welcome. I'm feeling a little more motivated already! Is anyone else doing weight watchers? My daily points allowance is 19, though for the past month I haven't been tracking & some days, I'm sure I've been having 30  Though since my weigh in on Thursday, I have been sticking to 22 points. I exercise (a very high intensity, I use to be an aerobics instructor/personal trainer for 10 years) 6 days a week for 60mins which is why I have increased my points allowance. I get so hungry! So i'm already a little proud of myself :p
CHERISHED Good to hear you've stabilised. Better than a gain. Good luck for monday!
KRYSALYSS 20kgs... Wow, that's very impressive. Well done. You must be feeling fantastic
BW Sounds like you're a little like me.. Only a couple of kgs to go. Great stuff losing a kilo. Gees, it'd be nice if I could do that this week.
Georgi wowsers with all that exercise you will be at your goal weight in no time!!! And you definitely get to be proud of yourself :) I used to be a gym junkie.... Not so anymore  I have a home gym which I love but don't do anywhere near the amount that I used to do 5 years ago with no excuse other than being lazy  There were lots of people in here who were on WW, some of them are posting in the christmas weight loss challenge thread I think? and BTW your little Byron looks so cute!
AFM another good day eating, no workout but lots of quality time with hubby iykwim heheh :bd: :D
Tehehe that's awesome C1! And great work on the weightloss too ;)
Hey Georgi :hello: I was doing WW but quit it a month ago (then put on weight!), but haven't been doing any really high intensity exercise, so need to eat better. I'm sure you'll lose your last bit in no time!
Well I've re-weighed in (yesterday). I'm officially 2kg up after 1 month of cr@p. Eeep. Doncha hate having re-lose weight??? But I ate really well yesterday, I'm tracking on CK now, and on my walk last night... I even jog-shuffled! Woo hoo, it's only been about 2 years! So slow & steady I'm just gonna try keep building up.
I weigh in today and it has been a baaaaad 2 weeks so I am not feeling very good about it (I'm with you Belfie - I HATE having to re-lose weight).
Welcome Georgi!
Awesome work Krys on getting to the 66's
Cherished - keep up the good work (and the lovin' - apparently it burns calories :p )
I'm back. Again. LOL. What happened? I was going so well then just stopped. Went straight back to crap eating and no exercise. I've gained back 2 kg as well, just like that. How depressing!
What do you all do about exercise when it's so hot? I can only exercise after school drop off and some days it's already hot by then. I have already had one massive migraine from exercising when it's too hot so I think that's why I'm hesitant to do it again. I have been (like, twice LOL) doing an aerobics session as soon as I get up but I don't always have time for that. I have a feeling I have to go back to the gym. I'm so angry at myself that I can't just stick at something!
WTG all the people here who have stuck to their weightloss!
Welcome to the new people! Am I new again? LOL.
Hi T4M!! Back on the bandwagon with you :D
I am 14.1kg down now and lost .8 in the last 2 weeks (I missed weeks weigh in). T4M I find swimming is the best in hot weather. Getting to the beach and running on the sand then jumping into the water is awesome. Even just doing laps at the local pool is great.
I'm doin' good! Haven't had ANY chocolate since Saturday. Still a bit freaked out by how much more careful I have to be (geez I had it easy when I was expressing). And my karmic reward was .4kg down on Monday & today... so hopefully that'll hold up. Plus HEAPS of walking... gotta get in early atm, it's too hot later in the day.
T4M - I'm with you, I've only just got back into it... and don't be angry at yourself, be proud of yourself for hopping right back on the wagon. You'll get there! It's hard organising exercise in the heat. What about walking? Is that ok?
Nai - ooh thanks for keeping me company too. We can all do it together. dunno if I can be bothered to go back into the Xmas weightloss thread... seems kinda silly when it's halfway thru. So think I'll just stay in here for now...
Ok off to make a yummy salad sandwich!
TIMETOMYSELF Welcome back! It sucks to gain weight hey. It's a good kick up the pants though. Sorry I can't help you about the heat thing. I love the heat, and love to sweat! Though it can get very hot up here on the goldy. If i'm planning an outside run, I'll wake up extra early if I know it's gonna be a scorcha. I'll get up around 5.30am, pack DS in the pram with some toast for breaky & leave by 6.30am, home by 7.30am before it's way too hot.
CHERISHED You would think that with all this exercise the weight would be falling off me, but it's not. I guess now i've had a child & now that i'm getting older it's just harder. I stopped teaching aerobics & personal training about 3.5 years ago & went from doing everything to doing NOTHING! I've really slowly got back into it to the level i'm at now, over the past 6months. I would say that I have built a fair bit of muscle back so that would be affecting the scales too. I build muscle very easily. You don't NEED exercise to lose weight, it can be done with food alone, it just helps, ALOT. I'm sure if you're having plenty of 'quality time' with your hubby :) that should be suffice. Just make sure you're hanging from the chandeleir lol
BELFIE Thanks for referring me to this thread ;) It took me so long to be able to jog. Even when I was teaching aerobics I was never a jogger. It's only been that past 6 months that I've built up to being able to jog outside for an hour. Before I was preg, I would walk jog for 30 mins 5 days a week but didn't seem to improve much. I guess I needed more. Boohoo on your weight gain. Your close up of the dairy factory would have definately impacted that one. It'll probably take your body a couple of months to re align. How long ago did you stop? 2kgs is nothing really, you can fluctuate that much in a week thanks to our silly hormones. But woohoo on the .4
NAI Woohoo on the .8 loss. That's excellent, considering you had a bad 2 weeks. I'd be stoked with that
AFM I've got my weigh in at 9.30am tomorrow. I always stay for the meeting too. WILL I MAKE MY GOAL WEIGHT????? C'mon 0.8kgs! I have had a good week, been sticking with my points, except for yesterday. I didn't keep track. I didn't eat any chocolate cake or anything, but did find myself hungrier than usual. I did train extra hard in the morning so that could be why. No exercise today... I normally have Friday's off, but am changing it to Wednesday's (taking DS to swimming lessons). My body is a little sore from the weights I did on Monday & Tuesday so it works out well.
I'll log in tomorrow to report the news... I get to 64kgs!
Very exciting news.... I went to my weight watchers weigh in & weighed 64.1kgs. My goal was 64 so the lady wrote down 64kgs so I can now do my 6 weeks maintenance. Yay! What a slog the last 6 weeks has been. I'm so thrilled to be there. I would love to get to 62 and am hoping I can get there in the next 6 weeks. I think it's very realistic, I just hope I can keep the motivation. That's why I need all your help!
I'm heading to Sydney for a week, which is always challenging as my MIL is not the most healthiest cook, so fingers crossed I can keep it up.
Way to go, Georgi! Well done!
BW
Hi girls,
I am back as well!!!
I have still been doing my WW and lost 800g today (2 weeks worth though as like Nai I didnt go last week).
8.8Kg down now! That is what DD weighs so that feels really good to now I have lost what it is to carry her around.
Everyones doing so well.
What is everyone doing o amp up their progress before Christmas? (6 weeks away)!!!!!
WTG Georgi!! Great to reach a milestone :). I hear you on the getting hot and sweatty - I don't really have a problem with that but I get SO SO red even just after 1 lap of my street. The first day I really got into the walking, I ended up with a massive migraine due to the heat and not drinking enough LOL (not funny, just laughing at myself). Oh and good for you on the jogging! Good luck at your MIL's!
Belfie (and others!) thanks for the encouraging words about getting back here rather than just throwing my hands up in defeat.
Welcome back Alibaby and Nai!
My problem with exercising is that I have a 2.5 yr old and a 6 yr old. My dh isn't home much through the week - he's a truck driver. When he is home, it's usually for tea and then we spend some time together before he leaves again. SO, I can't walk/jog early in the morning because of the 6 yr old (I could put ds in the pram but can't do anything about dd walking slow! She can't even ride next to me because we live on a hill). It's too hot after school drop off. I can't swim because the local pools don't have child care. The only thing I can do is go back to the gym. Not excited about spending the money but... I have been doing aerobics when I wake up in the mornings but I don't feel like that's enough. It is better than nothing though!
I weighed in this morning and I've lost 500 g. I think I've been floating around that same 500 g for a week though so I don't really consider it a loss. Good news is it's overcast here this morning! I hope it sticks around until after 9 so I can walk LOL.
time4myself that's a great loss, I think gym woudl be great, there is variety on what cardio you do and different classes etc, I have a home gym which I love but I miss the socila aspect of going to the gym now... I am even thinking about applying for a job there so that I can do it for free because i can't justify the money on a gym membership when I have one at home!
Alibaby that is jsut a wonderful loss, 8.8kg's! and isnt' it jsut great to be able to pick up that weight and feel how heavy it is and to know that you have lost that amount! well done
Georgi Congratulatoins hon I'm sure you'll be down to 62 in no time, you are obviously doing somethign right ;)
belfie my friend great to hear from you :) good on ya for not eating chocolate! see if you can go a whole week ;)
Nai I was heading to the beach today but it's clouded over, than thoguht about laps at he pool but decided to do pilates at home and a walk on the treadmill instead... Gosh I would love to be able to say I've lost 14kg! YOu've done so well, keep it up
AFM I'm so excited to have lost 4kg in the last week  Looking forward to weigh in on Monday if I can keep up my momentum
just a quick reply. i am still here and still trying to lose some fat.
i have officially lost 4.2 kg now . woo hoo. this is so good for me as i gained 5 kg when i got sick in april this year. and hadn't really lost it since doing IVF first cycle.
so the thing is i want to lose 7 kg by christmas. so i have 2.8 kg to go.
then i can do another IVF/ICSI cycle in feb and gain it all back. not funny, but prob true.
at least if i lose it now i won't be 10 kg heavier.
lets think positive thought now.
good luck everyone.
JBM well done on your loss hon, I think the same about losing weight just so that I can put it on again when I get pregnant and I too use the logic that it's better to start lighter than end up 10kg's heavier than where I am now ;)
Ok a bit of a disappointing weigh in this morning, I've gained 500grams since yesterday  Luckily I have a Tanita body composition monitor which tells me that my % body fat has gone down, muscle has gone up and my metabolisum has increased which are are wonderful things but my fulid was also well up so that will be where the extra 500grams has come from... Never the less it is not nice recording a gain of 100grams today :wall:
Cherished- that is great your body fat % has gone down. That is the main thing. You could have just had some fluid retention with all this heat.
JBM- Well done. That is a great goal to have and good motivation.
Well I have a big WOO HOO!!!!!
READY.........
I CAN RUN!!!!
I know, I know, so sad that that is actually a woo hoo, but it has been a while, like a good 2 years since I have been able to run without feeling like I am going to break the concrete I am running on because of my weight.
I have been doing some interval training on the treadmill so have been building up my fitnes and length of what i can run. I have been doing 5Km walk/run on the treadmill most nights watching tv.
Eating hasnt been the best but I am under my points for the week so far because of all the extra exercise.
I really hope my body doesnt fail me this week as I am really hoping to reach my 10Kg weight loss on Thursday. That means I need to lose a massive 1.2Kg this week! We will see!
GL for the week girls and guys :grouphug:
Good luck Ali!!
I only lost 0.2kg this week but that's still 14.3kg down. I think I'm slowing down as I get closer to a healthy weight. Only 1.7 to go until I'm in my healthy weight range.
Nai- that is fantastic!! You ahve done so well and shold be so proud of yourself. 200g is still a loss. And 200g closer to your goal!!
OK, so I'm back too!
After the six most intensely stressful works weeks for a while, things look to be slowing down a bit and I am getting back into it! I have still been cycling, but not much else, long hours have meant cutting out yoga and not making it to the pool very often.
Haven't gained in that time, which is good news. Feeling totally motivated again. Qld sunshine has been waking me up at 5am, so nothing for it but to get in the pool!
