 well done on the running Ali it's such a great feeling isn't it, I feel good just running for my 30 sec intervals than walking, not much running yet as I have bad knees so need to do it really slowly but I can't wait to be able to run more :D
Nai a loss is still a loss, hopefully you'll see a bigger loss next week
SnugBug it's boiling isn't it!!! it's gonna be cloudy tomorrow so hopefully not as hot? I've been loving the beach, can't wait to go again :p
AFM feeling a bit lazy so I just did hips, buns and thighs on the run while watching NCIS ;)
-
Weighed in this morning.. Nada.
-
Snuggly- good to have you back
Cheished_-thans you so much hun. You are lovely. I have been finding it really hard to exercide the last couple of days because of the heat. It just zaps my motivation.
Time4myself- hope you get a big loss next week.
AFM- I lost 400g. I really did expect more and I know that its a loss which is great but considering everything I did last we it was a bit disappointing. Anyway I was really bad and just ate, ate,, ate when I got home. Really had a massive binge :( Need to get back on track now as I have lots of points to make up for yesterday.
-
Well done on the loss Ali!! I think sometimes you need a bit of a release and then get bac on track - I'm sure you will make up the points during the week.
T4M - I hope you get a big loss next week.
I have been finding it hard to do any exercise this week with DD2 not sleeping and DD1 being sick with gastro. I was half hoping that i would catch it to make up for the lack of exercise ;) Is that bad?
-
Yes that is bad Nai!! TOTALLY something I'd wish too lololol.
WTG Ali!
I have been looking for my new printer cartridge all morning (bought them with the printer because they were on sale... notsomuch a sale when you can't find them and have to buy more!!) and I found my old set of scales. On a whim, I stood on them - I'm 2 kg lighter on those scales than on the ones I've been using - they were at the house when we moved in. Now I'm confused! I like my scales a lot better though ;)
-
T4M Just don't give up! even the people on the biggest looser have a gain or no loss from time to time :cheer:
Alibaby Thanks hon :D 400 grass is still fantastic  I know we would all like the weight to fall off quicker but 400-500 a week is really perfect :p I'm finding I need a huge kick up the bum to get motivated to execise, such a shame though cause I'm eating really well, just need to move my butt to loose larger numbers
Nai lol to catching gastro, I haveto admit that in the past it has been a great weigh t loss tool but not a permanent one as is just comes straight back on
AFM I'm a bit annoyed with my body, last Sunday I was 68.1kg and than on my weigh day (Monday) I was 68.6kg :( which meant a 100g gain for that week... this week I've been up and down and this morning weighed 68.4kg so still not looking to crack into the 67's  guess I'll see what happens Monday!
-
:leap: I cracked the 67's today with 67.9kg so exciting. hope i can budge even more for my official weigh in on Monday :D
-
-
well cone cherished:dance:
-
Thanks guys! today I have lost 1kg and and 67.6kg :hooray:
-
Woot! Well done cherished!
Well I didn't get gastro but I did lose 0.5kg this week! So I am 14.8kg down :leap: Only 0.2 off my next reward and 1.2 off a healthy BMI :D
-
That's fantastic Nai  what is your reward?
-
Well it was going to be a massage but I really need new bathers so they might have to move up the list I think!
-
-
:welcome: leesa of course you can join us, the more the merrier
Nai ohhhh how about you get your dp to give you the massage and then you can have both! I've been wearing a bikini which I 'hated' and thought made me look horrible when I was 65kg! my how things change, so much of how we feel and think has to do with confidence.
I've just booked in for an eyebrow wax and to get my hair done for just over 2 weeks away... I'm hoping I will be getting closer to 65kg by then
-
Hey everyone! I'm back from a week in Sydney (for work). There's been some great losses this week. Congrats to those
I managed to make it to the gym 5 times though didn't work as hard as I normally do. Just had an off week. But at least I managed some exercise. I'm up early this morning to hit the gym again as I have an appointment that I need to leave by 9am. So i'm still dedicated!
My eating was TERRIBLE! Mainly the car trip, lollies & chocolate. After hitting my goal weight I really relaxed way too much. So back into it today. I weigh in on Thursday so will go back to counting points & hope a few good days will make up for it. I definately feel a little heavier but AF is just around the corner so that could also be it.
-
I weighed in yesterday :shakehead: I put on a kilo! I knew it was going to happen. I'm just glad it wasn't 2kg. There's no reason why I can't lose it before next weigh in so I'm ok with it. It also could be due to the time of month. I am still in the maintenance phase at WW so alls good. I'm just dying to finish the 6 weeks maintenance so I can become a life time member. I'm still wanting to get to 62kgs though. 3 kgs to go!
How's everyone else doing? Any more losses?
-
I know this sounds wrong, but that's a good gain considering your week Georgi lol. You should lose that pretty quick too.
I weighed in and have lost 500g! Another 500 and I'll be back to where I was before I fell off the wagon.
-
:hello: hi everyone
Georgi I agree with T4M that's a pretty gain considering ;) but a trip without lollies isn't much of a trip!!
T4M well done on your loss hon, that'l be great to get back to where you were so keep it up!
AFM I did drop down to 67kg and was so excited to be looking at seeing a 66 BUT AF or a BFP is due in the next couple of days and my weight has gone back up to 67.4 :wall: at least I know what the gain is from I guess. Went to the beach today gosh it's just lovely and make me feel so good :D
-
CHERISHED Good luck with that BFP. One lady at WW said she always puts on 2kgs when AF is around
T4M Great stuff on the loss. Yay!
And you guys are right... I am happy it was just 1 kilo. I've been eating & training well this week so hoping it comes straight back off again
-
I have fallen off the bandwagan hence why i been quiet and really struggling to get back on it again.
-
Mr Squid, jump back on, it's never too late and you've done so well! :bluecheer: something my dh tells me is that food will always be there and I'm not really missing out on anything, I find it helpful to know that one day I will be able to eat whatever I want (in moderation) but right now I am choosing not to, I am choosing to think of my body 1st and loose the weight. It is helpful to say "I choose not to eat that" rather than the negative phrasing of "I can't eat that"... He even said that christmas is just another day and I can join the small group of people who don't over indulge and get to feel great about themselves the next day. I think if you spend some time having similar conversations with yourself you might be able to jump on the wagon again.
AFM.... OK so today is my weigh day and I ended up on 67.3kg which is still a loss of 300grams so I can't complain especially as I'm expecting my period... But still disappointing seeing I saw 67kg's earlier in my week. I do feel great though and like I've lost weight especially around my stomach.
-
Well done on your loss Cherished - 300 grams is better than gaining anyday :D Should we be expecting a BA from you soon?
Mr S - jump back on matey, don't lose motivation. The benefits of healthy weightloss far out weigh the brief delight of foods that are high in calories.
Georgi - muscle weighs more than fat, so I bet its either that or water weight re - your 1kg gain. But either way it sure can be a bit of a kick in the teeth, can't it?
time4myself - well done with your loss, 500 grams all adds up in the end, doesn't it!
AFM - my scales tell me I'm down to 73.8 kgs. And I'm fitting back into my 'skinny jeans', albeit just, but I can do them up and wear them out in public with a flowy top to cover my spare tyre . I'd really been doing my head in as I've been hanging around the 75kg mark - but I measured my waist and seem to have lost 7cm's - so I can't complain about that!
-
LEESA Wow, 7cm is huge! Measurements are definately the way to go. I've been slack & haven't taken mine at all. I wish I did.
CHERISHED 300g is still a great loss. A loss is a loss I say. At least you will get there
MR SQUIDIPA I can really be difficult to remain motivated can't it. I fell off the wagon for around 6 weeks. It was so hard to get back on. I hope things improve for you real soon. Just don't be hard on yourself, that's what will really kill you. Allow yourself time & tell yourself you WILL get that motivation back. Keep telling yourself that.
AFM - Well Thursday's are my weigh in day....... And woohoo  I lost 1.6kg. So that's the weight I put on last week & more! Now i'm under my original goal weight. Only 1.8kgs to go now till my next goal. I guess I won't be getting another loss like that for a while.
-
WTG Georgi!
My weigh in day is today and I am the same. GRRRR. Totally my own fault though because, while I've been exercising every day, I haven't really been eating well.
-
Georgi  1.6kg that is fantastic!!!
leesa ahhhhh tha ol' jeans  well done, was such a great feeling for me getting back into my old ones, even with a log top covering my butt heheh ;)
AFM my weigh day is Monday BUT today I've cracked the 66's with 66.9 :cheer: SO EXCITED!!!
AND 3 weeks till christmas with 1.5kg's to go before I reach my 7kg loss YAY
-
Thats fantastic Cherished!!!!! Keep up the good work! you are so close to your goal!!
-
Hi everyone, can I join in this thread too?
I have mucked around with trying (not very seriously) to lose weight for a few months now and I need to get serious. So, I'm telling everyone in here (see my new ticker!) and IRL!! I know Christmas is coming so it's not an ideal time to start but a few years ago I was losing weight and managed to lose about 3kg over 3-4 weeks at Christmas. I didn't live on salad but I was restrained around the chocolate and pudding! I'm thinking that by starting now, I'll be quite motivated over the next few weeks!
Nai - you look hot mate and seeing you on fb earlier has helped inspire me! Congratulations on your loss, you must feel amazing!! I remember that I had just started ww not long before you did but I gave up after only losing 5-6kg. If I'd kept going I could be 15kg down now too. I am not wasting any more time.
Hi Ali! Hi everyone else!
-
Sure you can join in Kaz! Jump back on the wagon - this group is a fantastic support!
-
Welcome Kaz!
I've been told to get off the exercise wagon by my physio. For about 2 months I've had a niggling issue with my left thigh which I decided needed to be looked at, as it wasn't getting any better. Turns out it could be a little more serious than just a sore muscle lol. Oops! So no high impact exercise or weight bearing exercise as the muscles all around my thigh, butt and lower back are as tight as anything.
Not good coming up to Christmas! I know it's all about what I'm putting in my mouth for the time being... but I don't have a lot of will power at this time of year lol.
-
:welcome: kaz Well done on that weight loss at christmas time  You sure are an inspiration for this year!
Alibaby I'm not as close to my goal now :( I did get down to 66.6kg but after a blow out over the weekend I went back up to 67.4kg  Was so annoyed because I really thought I would reach my goal of loosing 7kg by christams.... Not so sure now
T4M that is such a buggar :( what exercise did they say you could do?
Hope everyone else is doing ok and mentally perparing themselves for christmas.... and i than the next big hurdle of Easter only 14 weeks after that  Lordy Lord Lord, it never ends!
-
T4M - Can you swim at all? That really sucks you have an injury. I hope it won't take long to heal.
Cherished - you've done really well - wait until Christmas to weigh yourself again. I bet you'll get there!!
Well I'm off to a rough start lol!! AF arrived so the scales tell me I've put on over a kilo :o but hoping that goes away again in a few days.
-
YAY Kaz :welcome: Lots of support in here. I always seem to go up a bit when AF arrives but then have a good weight loss the next week so it kind of evens itself out. I love the ticker!
T4M- injuries so suck! I agree withkaz, swim if you can. Would be nice on a hot day as well.
Cherished- I reckon you will get there. Cant believe Easter is close!!!!!
I am really loving the pink jewell sparkling wine. Its only 1 point per glass which is great. I dont have a WW meeting for 2 weeks as we are away but am going to try and weigh myself on mums scales even though they probably wont be the same and as accurate just so I can keep an eye on my weight over that time.
-
Kaz  yes that is me on the floor laughing at the idea of waiting till christmas day to weigh myself hehehhe... No seriously my official weigh day is on Mondays so that is what I record my weekly weight loss by but I still jump on every morning! I can't help myself... I just find it motivating to see it go down (most days) and if it goes up I know it's around af time so it doesn't bother me so much, I'd say you have nothing to worry about wither with the scales reading higher due to af
Alibaby glad you have found a wine you like, after putting on a kg last weekend due to drinking too much I have decided that I'm not drinking anymore until I reach my goal, if I could just stop at one than I guess it would be ok, but when I drink over dinner with friends I always have more than one... Yep Easter is not far away! I hope to be well down on the scales so that I can enjoy a few choccy treats guilt free
AFM I'm heading into my gym to do a workout
-
Ali - I think you made my day - Pink jewel sparkling wine is only one pt per glass?? That is the BEST news I have had all day lol!! Woohoo. Off to the bottle-o we go.....;)
Kaz - Grr Af putting on water weight....I went up about 2kgs last cycle, hopefully it won't go up like that again. It is disheartening - one step forward, then thanks to AF two steps back!
Hi Cherished, Mr S, Nai and T4M! How are you all??
AFM - I am down to my lowest weight since Jan 09 (when I was 12 wks pg with DS) - so I'm now at 71.1kg. Training each and everyday, usually RPM, Attack or Pump. Once again, the weight loss is everywhere except the mummy tummy! Grrr.
So, what is everyones tactic for Xmas? Eat in moderation / blow it coz its the festive season / or eat whatever I want and work it off in the new year ;).
-
Hey guys...
I've been a bit slack with posting on BB lately. I've also been very slack with my diet! With all these christmas parties & having my in laws here for 6 days. I weighed in last Thursday at 64.7kg so 0.7kg above my goal weight. I'm not too concerned, as long as I stay under 65kg. I've given up on the idea of getting to 62kg this year. So i'm really just trying to maintain, which is proving harder than I thought. I'm still exercising 6 days a week so that hopefully will conteract my indulging. No weight watchers this week it will be christmas eve so I am going to relax a little & try not to worry. I will weigh myself at the gym on Thursday morning to keep check.
KAZ - Welcome! Good on you for making the move to lose weight at this time of year. I hope this year is as successful as last. I tend to move the scales a bit at that time of month too, though it does balance out the following week
T4M - I give you credit, I could NOT do it without my exercise. I simply just eat too much. Gosh, I'd get so depressed if I couldn't exercise.
Cherished - Bummer about the gain. Though I find if it's come on quickly, it'll go off quickly. Do you find this?
ALI - My WW is closed for 2 weeks but as I'm on my 5th week of maintenance I don't wanna wait so i'm gonna skip this week then find another meeting to go to for my 6th weigh in then back to my local meeting to get my life time membership! I just hope I can be back to my goal weight on that day
LEESA - I'm planning to eat in moderation over this festive season. I am still going to exercise my heart out to make up for it. Good on you for being at your lowest weight this year. Yay, that must feel really good
-
Leesa You must be feeling so proud of yourself getting back to that weight  for christams day I am going to eat well, I plan to have loads of leafy green salad and couscous for lunch and allow myself a 'little' bit of chocolate and 2 hand fulls of chips, other than that I will fill up on scrambled eggs for breakfast of my home made spelt toast and fruit such as water melon and rock melon, not sure about dinner yet but it will be something light like maybe a bit of tofu and salad. I will also be doing a workout in the morning ;)
Georgi 64.7kg is still fantastic  be proud of yourself hon
-
Hi everyone! Hope xmas has been good to you. I have been considering for a while I might post a before and after pic of me. One from last year and one from this year. Not sure of the best way to do it though. I don't want the whole world to see, just people who are genuinely trying to lose or maintain their weight here on BB. Does photobucket do passwords? I will try and figure it out. Anyone keen/brave/silly enough to post as well :)
-
Belfie, Krys, Georgi, Leesa, my lovelies, thanks for your well wishes in my announcemnt thread  for everyone else who hasn't seen my signature I got my :bfp: YAY
I wanted to thank everyone in this thread who has helped me loose weight. Dec last year I was 65.5kg's I think than as most of you know I put on weight due to pregnancies that didn't continue. I am so happy to report that I got down to 66.2kg and I feel so proud of myself for achieving a goal.... To get my weight back down so that I could start pregnancy pretty much back where I was. Plus now I am much more in control of my eating and I know that I can't go over board eating 'whatever' I want now that I am pregnant, I will still make healthy choices wherever I can! :D
So thanks again everyone and I will be popping in from time to time to keep myself on track and report on my good behaviour
-
:leap: Cherished!! Awesome news darl!!! All the best for a H&H pg!! I guess the weightloss is now off the agenda ;) but I'm glad you're much more aware of what you can eat - I went 'overboard' during my pg at times and now still have 5kg of that to loose before getting back to pre-pg weight and it's 9 months down the track
Krysalyss - Good on you for doing before and after photos!! My before photo from Christmas last year would be a pg me!! I don't have an after yet as I think I still look about 5-6 months along  Maybe when I reach goal I could do that though!
AFM - My Christmas strategy was to eat in moderation. I don't drink much (gone off the taste since being pg :( ) so that wasn't an issue - think I had 2 drinks all up? Anyway, I'm on track from today. DP and I bought a Wii yesterday - got about 4 fitness/sports/trainer programs  No idea why we got so many - a couple came in the package and DP bought another one today. He is keen to slim down too. The Wii was actually his idea but I'm not complaining ;) I did two workouts today from the Fitness First one but because I told the program I was pretty sedentary, they felt like warm ups :( Might need to change my settings. Does anyone know if the length and intensity increases gradually each day if you do them regularly? I'm hoping to do at least one workout and some of the fun sports stuff (cardio) each day.
