Nai - Woo hoo on being down 1.1kg that is great
BW - Thats good you haven't done too much damage over xmas. How are you feeling?
Kaz- Well done to saying no to the heaven ice cream  now thats commitment! When are you weighing in darl?
T4M - Bugger on the scales being out  silly things. But don't let them get you down.
Hi everyone else. Hope you are having a good weekend so far.
AFM I need to really stay on top of things this weekend. The weekends is the time where I usually let myself down with no exercise and eating crap all weekend . I am determined not to do that this weekend. I got up early this morning and did a pilates DVD (a bum and thigh one) so I probably won't be able to walk tomorrow lol :o But at least it is done now for today! I am just about to make some fruit salad to have with yoghurt for brekkie to kick the weekend off to a healthy start!
-
hi :hello:
just joining this thread as i want to lose about 20kg. i was overweight when i fell PG with DS & am now a few kgs lighter than that but there is much, much more that needs to go!
DP are starting an 8 week challenge to be as healthy as possible today.
how does anyone with a baby find the motivation to exercise? DS is going through an anti-pram phase so walks are out. i've jumped on the exercise bike a few times but i find it hard to get the motivation when i'm getting up to DS 3-5 times a night & just feel tired from the moment i get up. even though i know that i'll feel better & have more energy after i exercise
looking forward to chatting with you all :)
-
Sloane - welcome to the group! I go to a gym with a creche so the kids can be minded for an hour while I exercise.
Kaz - try the Skinny Cow range of ice-cream on a stick, they are 1.5 points on WW and are really nice.
KT - I need to stay on track too - I have 2 birthday parties this weekend to contend with. Wish me luck!
-
Hi guys!
Everyone sounds like they are seeing some nice losses.
T4M - Eek I hate it how all scales are different. I weighed in at the blood donor centre (with boots on though) and it was heavier than the scales I use. But decided to ignore it - he he!
Well I am going ok. Have had a bit of bad food today and also have to make a confession that I only just weighed this morning since 2 weeks before xmas. I was 64.9 then and knew I had put on some over the weeks. Was prepared for 67-68kg but was only 65.9kg this morning. So I am super happy!
Also soccer started last night so did about an hour of indoor soccer - lots of stop and start sprinting. But didn't really get out of breath at all so very happy! Futsal starts Monday so I know that for a while I have two nights I don't need to motivated myself to exercise. Just got to fill in the in-between days.
My goal for this week is to lose 0.5kg by weigh-in next Saturday.
I started another thread in the weight loss section. I made an honest list of things about myself regarding how I eat and controlling my weight.
It is here: https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...ight-loss.html
Anyway have a good weekend everyone!
-
Hey guys,
omg it's so hot here... I don't want to do anything! Well I weighed the same yesterday (after two "naughty" days - not tracking on CK). But then tracked again yesterday and weighed in .3kg lighter this morning woo hoo.
sloane - welcome to the thread. Re exercising with babies, it's a tricky one. I try to do Wii Fit or exercise bike during his naps when I can, or walks (but you said your DS doesn't like prams). And i've often thought that I could do weight stuff in the room with him... you know, turn your lounge into an incidental exercise area, lift cans of soup, tricep dips off the sofa, plank on the floor, pushups etc.. but I've never actually done it.
ktgirl - hope your weekend of determination is going well!
krysalyss - wow you've got plenty going on, I'm sure you'll hit your goal.
Nai - I've never tried the gym/creche thing, maybe should. GL with all the birthday parties, you can do it :D
butterfly_warrior - *GIANT KICK UP THE BUTT!!!* you can do it girl, come on, get off your butt!
~Kaz~ - hope MG went well - social situations are the toughest I reckon!
I got a haircut yesterday, and some new earrings then found the BEST clothes store! Bought a heap of stuff that is awesome now but will also look good if/when PG... so I figure that's kinda like my reward for the first week & a bit hahah... can't afford to keep rewarding myself like that tho lol. But... had to get it all while it was half price sale!
-
BW - I'm glad you were pleasantly surprised by your weight!! I second Belfie's Giant Kick Up The Butt!!! :) Just make a couple of small changes, or even one. I bet even the little stuff will make a difference that will add up. I was reading the other day that diet is 80% of the battle of weight-loss (and this was information coming from my old gym) so don't worry too much that you can't exercise.
Nai - WHoot on the weight loss!! Thanks for the tip on the icecream, I'll check them out! I ate the last of our low fat vanilla last night  How did your parties go?
ktgirl - whoo on the pilates! That's what I call motivated! How has your weekend been?
Slaone - Hi darl! I am in the same boat re: night wake ups. DS is not a great sleeper and on a normal night I can be up to him 2-3 times a night feeding and settling on a horror night, (like last night), he had about 10 wake ups in around 12 hours :o He is teething so I have to cut him some slack but I'm beyond exhausted atm cause it's been going on for about a week now. Personally, I used to use the tiredness as an excuse to do very little about my weight for months, I kept telling myself I'd get into it when he slept better but then I realised that he might not sleep better for a while yet and I was giving him (or the situation) control over my weight. I force myself (and I'm only doing Wii when he sleeps) cause I know I'll feel better for it and I figure it's something I can do for me every day.
Krysalyss - Yay on only gaining 1kg!! You can definitely lose 0.5 by Saturday. Enjoy Soccor and Futsal. What is Futsal? I'm going to check your thread now....
Belfie - whoo on 0.3kg lighter! And :leap: for your pamper day! I love buying new clothes.
Ali - How're you doing hun?
AFM - Even though I was a bit naughty and had a couple glasses of wine, ate a few large meals and only got on the Wii every second day for the last week, I've lost 1.5 kg!!! :hooray: Feels like I'm finally on my way again. Thanks for all the support so far girls! I'm off to change my ticker
-
Hi guys! Went for a bike ride today which was quite nice.
Yesterday I blew out the calories on some noodles that I didn't count before I ate so then had to do aerobics to make it under my allowance. The noodles were good though - but next time I will portion control!
DH made spinach quiche - I am suspicious of it so will have to count the calories before indulging too much. It smells so good though!
Belfie - Woo hoo on the loss. And that is a giant kick up the a$$ that you gave. Maybe you should run a boot camp (pun intended - he he!)
Kaz - 1.5kg is an awesome loss! Woo hoo!! Keep up the amazing work!
-
Kaz, have to second the skinny cow ice creams - they are absolutely divine! Best thing about them is that not only are the low fat, but they are also low carb so have very little sugar in them. I don't think they even have artificial sweeteners in them either.
I'm becoming a bit more restrained with my diet, but just don't have it in me to start any sort of exercise just yet. I'm finding the heat to be a real killer and last time I threw Sam in the pram and went for a walk I was off my foot for many weeks... Trying to get myself out and about in shopping centres a bit more regularly. Serves two purposes - gets me some new clothes for going back to work and lets me get a bit of exercise in. So far I've just got some cheaper stuff from target as I'd like to get back into my older clothes - pleased to note that I'm now a size 12 on the bottom once again! Needed to get a size 16 in tops - but that's more to accomodate the width of my shoulders and back, so it's a quirk of my shape not so much a needing to slim down more issue.
Gotta run - the lawnmower has Sam freaking out.
BW
-
Sloane - :hello: Welcome to the thread. I can absolutely imagine that finding the energy to exercise while still getting up a few times a night must be difficult. Even if for a few weeks you don't worry about exercise just concentrate on your diet. You may find once your eating really healthy foods you may have more energy.
Nai- How did you go at the 2 parties? Hopefully you resisted too many temptations lol
Krysalyss - You can definately do 0.5 by the weekend with all that soccer you will be playing! Thats great you have all that organised for the week!
Belfie - Sounds like you had a fun day at the shops. Woo hoo on being down .3 already
Kaz - :happyforyou: Way to go on the loss. Well done. Isn't it great to change your ticker!!!!
BW - Hope you saved Sam from the freak out, my two don't like the sound of the whipper snipper either. Thats great you are restraining your diet a bit. Also at least when you are walking around the shops getting a bit of exercise you are in the air con which is another bonus!
AFM - Have had a pretty good weekend. We did go to a friends house for dinner last night, but the dinner was healthy which was good, however I did have a few glasses of wine and two roses chocolates lol. But been super good again today. Went out with DH today and bought a heap of new work out gear on sale so that was fun!!
-
Hi ladies, just wondering if I can join in? Need to keep myself accountable.
I have been following this thread for a while and your progress and determination is inspiring.
I've only got 3 kgs to lose but I'm finding it tough. With my firstborn all my pregnancy weight plus more fell off by 3 months with breastfeeding. This time it's not falling off at all !!
I've decided I need to knuckle down, so got some exercise DVDs. My goal is to do 3-4 x 1 hr sessions each week. I'm confused about calorie intake while breastfeeding. Calorie King says I need to go for 1200 for a 1kg loss each week or 1700 for a .5 kg loss each week (that's taking into consideration the fact that I'm breastfeeding). But I have also read that you shouldn't go under 1800 cals while breastfeeding. Another website says I need 2200 cals just to maintain my weight without breastfeeding. And yet another (babyfit) says I need to go for 2200 cals to lose weight while breastfeeding. I'm very confused.
So anyway, I decided to err on the side of caution, and have been aiming for 1700 cals per day. For the last 10 days I've been coming in at around 1900 cals, but have put on 400 grams !?!
So.. are any of you breastfeeding? How many cals do you eat? Any advice?
-
I am not breastfeeding but the calorie king guideline seems too low. I am 168cm tall, and around 66kg. And my allowance each day is 1380 calories (using calorie king). So to say 1200 I would say is definitely too low. Not sure on what is the right amount though. BTW welcome aboard!
-
ETA: CalorieKing wouldn't let me put in breastfeeding into my profile. It said the calorieking guidelines are not suitable during breastfeeding or pregnancy. So maybe go with one of the others if it specifically states it is suitable for bf
-
Skeetaboat - I am bfing but have no idea how many calories I eat every day. Obviously too many though since I'm in here!!
I think the CK website numbers sound about right (given you only have 3kg to lose) for if you weren't bfing. I think it's really hard to say how many extra calories you need with bfing. It all depends on how often you're feeding each day I think and whether your baby is on solids yet etc. Could your weight gain be because you've started to restrict your intake of food so your body is holding onto everything it can? Or it could be related to your cycle? Or if you're exercising and putting on some muscle it will weigh more than fat. Maybe keep going for a few more weeks at your current cals and see what happens.
Now I'm curious about how many cals I eat each day!!!
-
Have you been doing any exercise skeeta??
-
I did WW online while I was BF'ing and I think it was about 1900 - 2000 calories a day that I was on (I started at 70kg and height: 158cm). It said that you weren't supposed to lose more than .5kg when you're BF'ing... and I found apart from the first week I didn't lose more than that.
I've also tried putting BF'ing into CK (which I'm now using - but no longer BF'ing) and while it initially says you shouldn't (go see your doc etc) you can actually do it - you just keep going past that screen and it does adjust your calories up. I think I went from WW points 28 (or 29) to about 21/22, and on CK I went from 1900/2000 down to 1300 calories (not BFing). Does depend on your exercise and your own height/weight of course too - I wouldn't go off what anyone else was consuming. Does that help?
Oh and GEEZ I wished I'd lost all the weight while I was BF'ing. In retrospect those calories were SO easy! The other thing too is that with only 3 kilos to lose, it may be harder anyway. I had a heap to lose and it did seem to fall off pretty easily.
The only other thing I can think of - are you eating good cals, IYKWIM? I found I could still eat a bit of crap if I tried.... and if you're eating crap (but within your cals) late at night that might impact mebbe? Not sure why it's not coming off otherwise... GL in working it out.
-
Hey everyone thanks for your replies :)
I've been doing weights for ages so I don't think it's the putting-on-muscle- &-losing-fat thing. If anything it might be reverse coz I haven't been to the gym since Chrissy (just pilates at home and walking) so probably losing muscle & gaining fat, ugh!! Still no AF so it can't be that. Don't think I'm in 'starvation mode' as I don't feel hungry, shakey, weak, tired, etc. I think I'd have to go several hundred cals lower for starvation mode to kick in. I stuck to 1800-2000 cals during my first preg so it's not that low for me.
Bubs isn't eating any solids yet so I think you're supposed to add 500 cals when exclusively bfing.
My stats are similar to yours kysalyss so if I add 500 to your allowance, that brings me to 1800-1900, which sounds about right according to belfie's ww-while bfing figure. How much do you lose if you stick to 1380 krysalyss?
As far as I can tell I really should be losing & not gaining!! Will try for another week & see. Frustrating to do the hard work with no result but the alternative is giving up & having to buy a new wardrobe!! Maybe I just needed to do a big poo on weigh in day & will get a nice surprise next week, lol (I always tell myself that haha)
-
Welcome Skeeta!
Sorry very quick here - I weighed in yesterday and no change from Friday. Which is a little woohoo as I wasn't very good at the birthday parties. Both times I missed lunch before getting there so ate more than I should have :(
-
GL Skeeta - you certainly sound like you know what you're doing! Fingers crossed it will start to work.
Nai - well done for getting through those b'day parties!
Krysalyss - tehehehehe about the boot camp! And um... HOP TO IT!
AFM - i'm down 1kg so far this week (for a thurs weigh-in). Woo hoo! Bit scared some of that is fluid as it's just so gosh-darn hot here atm.
-
Nai I was thinking of you this morning and wondering how your weigh in went. Not increasing is good if you had parties on!
Just got to share guys - last night, or early this morning, I had a dream that I was twisting around to look at my butt in the mirror and it was shrinking before my eyes!! It was so cool  I wish it would shrink that fast in real life
Did an hour of Wii this morning - did nearly all the muscle exercises in Fit Plus and then finished the Expert cycling course in just over 13km!!
-
well ladies, I'm gonna have to bow out - a certain little :bfp: has changed my plans! I promise to lurk & cheer tho!!
-
OMG Belfie, Congratulations hun. I am so pleased for you :leap: I hope you have a h&h 9 months. You must come back and help support us and keep us updated on how you are going. Congratulations again
Kaz - Love your dream. Wish it really did happen that quickly. Sounds like you are going well on the wii exercises.
Nai - No change is a good thing if you were a bit naughty. How has the rest of the week been for you so far?
Skeet - lol at your poo comment  Hang in there, it may just take a bit longer to drop off as you don't have heaps to lose.
Hi to everyone else. How are you all going?
AFM - This week has been good and bad. I have had mostly good days but did have a really bad day yesterday. But I am not going to dwell on it. I have been super good today again so back on track. I will be weighing in again on Friday, hoping for a loss, fingers crossed.
-
Belfie - woohoo!! Congratulations hun! I guess that ocean swim is off now  but I will hold you to it in about 2 years time ;)
Kaz - I love the dream. I have dreams where my arms are no longer flabby - oh how I wish!!
KT - I think you need a few bad days to help keep your metabolism up (that's my excuse anyway).
AFM - I've been ok I think although yesterday I was soooo hungry. I haven't done much exercise but I did push both girls in the pram to the library and back yesterday which is 20min each way and combined they weigh about 25kg so that was something.
-
hey guys, just letting you know that out of the 1.5 kg or so that i put on over christmas that i have lost 800g since 1st jan.
woohoo.
-
JBM - Well done on the weight loss :clap:
Nai - A walk to the library is great especially pushing the girls in the pram
AFM - Weighed in today and have stayed the same this week :crying: but I think I may be getting AF which always makes me a bit heavier. On a positive note though I did my measurements again yesterday and I have lost 8 cm since the start of the month so I am really happy with that!!
-
Kaz: LMAO - of maybe I should say, DMAO (dreaming my ass off) hehe. If only it were that easy. Look at it as a prophesy!
Belife: Woot woot! Congrats. Maybe you can keep posting your weekly weight gains here to keep yourself in check?? I can definitely recommend continuing exercise throughout pregnancy. I did
HEAPS of resistance training while I was pregnant and felt so fit, healthy & energetic. No back pain etc coz my muscles & joints were really strong.
JBM: well done - 800 gms is awesome!
Nai - hang in there. I find that thinking that hunger = calorie deficit (which is what we want) helps me get through it. Also that it's only temporary. Sometimes a good low cal snack is good to help you through. Hunger is good, but ravenous is bad (where's the chocolate?!?!).
KT - well done on the 8cm loss. It's the cms, not the kilos that count :) Plus you've probably lost fat & holding water.. that post AF weigh in might be pleasantly surprising.
AFM - I have lost the 400 gms I put on, so back to my new years day weight. But at least the scales are going in the right direction, which is the main thing, and I know that if I stick with it i'll get there.
-
Just popped in quickly to say that even though I'm not exercising at the moment, I have lost 700g this week! Can't put it down to anything other than I've upped my water intake. I tried swimming the other day and the pain in my hip was like before I was getting physio :(. Very happy for the loss though!
-
I have been good the last few days - I did 5km run in 29:08 yesterday and today I did a pump class and a 4km jog. The scales say 0.2kg down but will weigh in on Monday. I have 2 parties again this weekend :wall: so I will try to eat before I go this time!
-
Belfie - Congratulations!! :hooray: All the best for your pg. Now you can eat chocolate again!! Just blame cravings
ktgirl - Not dwelling on bad-food days is so hard but so crucial I think. I know when I dwell on it I don't get back on track straight away so well done!! Also well done on losing 8cm! Fantastic.
JBM - Yay on your loss!!
Skeetaboat - Yay on that exta 0.4 nicking off again!! You'll definitely get there. Oh and I won't go into details but your comment about poo changing the scales is so correct
T4M - Yay on your loss!! That kind of sucks that swimming was painful for you though.
Nai - Woot on all the exercise you do girl!! Wow. Enjoy your parties!
AFM - I don't weigh in officially until Sunday. Don't feel like I'm losing anything BUT I went to a meet up today and I ate a small lunch and none of the desserts (and they all looked so yummy too!!). I'm very proud because normally at something like that when everyone else is eating dessert I use the situation to give myself permission.
-
Well done, Kaz! I ate half a profiterole so... errr... ummm... yeah.
BW
-
skeetaboat - I may still track weight (dunno if in here tho). Was having an interesting chat to a doc in ED today about weight in high-risk GD pregnancies, and she reckons I should aim to be weight-neutral in terms of baby. Obviously need to confirm that with my obs, but food for thought. I definitely have incentive to eat well, just not quite sure what calories to aim for, so I'm going to look into it.
Incidentally I'd lost .7kg this week before getting my BFP. Plus I really wanna stay as strong & healthy as poss. Mind you, my last few days has been a bit naughty - stress-eating pizza & chocolate after a visit to the ED & emergency MRI for a possible stroke/tumour as I had a weird turn at work on Thurs (couldn't see properly, numb limbs etc)! Got the all-clear today thank goodness!
Kaz - awesome work today!
Nai - that's it, we are SO going swimming in 2 years! (lol that's long-range planning!)
T4M -that's great! You must be so pleased.
-
Skeeta- Well done on the loss hun :hooray:
T4M - Well done to you also on your weight loss :leap:. Thats a bummer about your back hurting in the pool. I hope it starts to feel better for you soon.
Nai - You sound like you are doig really well with your exercise  Good luck with the parties this weekend.
Kaz - Good luck for weigh in. And well done on eating well when you went out
Belfie - On no you poor thing having to go to hospital. Glad you got the all clear. Rest up and take it easy for a little while.
AFM - Still waiting on the dreaded AF but I am sure its on the way as temp was really low this morning. I am a little excited though about it because it is my first cycle off the pill again (preparing for TTC late in the year) and it has only been a 32 day cycle so far!! With my PCOS I sometimes have cycles that last well over 100 days. I just hope the shorter cycles keep going, it would be a help when I want to TTC again.
I naughtily weighed myself again this morning and the scales have dropped 400g so I am happy to actually have a loss now this week!! DH and I are going to the movies this afternoon so will have to restrain myself on the popcorn
-
ktgirl - enjoy the movies!!
BW - only half a profiterole is nothing to be worried about!! I think you look really slim (FWIW - I know you'll probably feel better losing weight but from the outside you look great now!).
Belfie - that turn sounds really scarey mate. Glad you got the all clear though.
AFM - After saying I wasn't going to listen to the Wii scales anymore, it told me this morning that I've lost 0.9kg in two days :) So impossible, it can't be right :o but I still love that machine
-
Wow - so many losses have been reported . Awesome work KTgirl, Kaz, Nai, T4M, skeetaboat and JBM!! You should all be sooo happy your getting closer to your individual goals!!
KT - great to hear AF seems to be coming a bit more regular for you. That must be a relief for you with TTC getting closer now!
Belfie - how scary that must have been for you hun. Is all better now though? I'm sooo glad you got your BFP!
Kaz - excellent restraint there refusing a desert - well done. They can be sooo tempting can't they? Especially when desert is a habit.
Nai - well done on the running, do you enjoy it? I think I've got to start doing something different exercise wise now - i need to avoid an impending plateau!
AFM - I've been lurking a bit lately sorry, I had created a post a few hours ago but lost it and got annoyed, so logged off for a bit! My dad came up and helped me put a trampoline together for DD's birthday :D.
Anywho, I've been hovering around low 68's for the last few days. I've stepped the exercise up a notch and got decent losses over the week - but it was really starting to make me extremely tired in the evening, today I will only do the one hour of exercise.
I just want to throw a question out there - more so out of curiousity...how has everyone decided on their weight loss measurement goal? Is it based on a general health guideline, is it a weight you were BC (before children ) etc...Or instead of a number on the scales is it a pair of jeans you want to fit into?
-
hey Leesa, I'm absolutely 100% fine now, thanks :)
Re the weight goals, interesting question. My goal was initially based on a healthy BMI of 22-23. Then I changed it, cos I decided to look at my waistline instead (as I'm apple-shaped and had gestational diabetes). I looked up the last weight at which I had a waistline under 80cm, and I picked that as my goal weight (which also happened to be a good BMI anyway). So saying, my shape has become even MORE apple-shape since having a bub, so I might need to get even lighter to get my waist under that magic 80cm. And obviously that goal is now for after bub#2!
~Kaz~ - too funny re the Wii Scales!
Well done to everyone for your great losses. I've been a bit slack not doing much and eating a bit naughty for a day or two, but determined to get back to healthy tomorrow! I modified my CK profile, and if I say I wanna maintain weight and I AM pregnant, after giving me lots of red text about seeing a doctor, it said I should be on 200 0cal (instead of the 1290 I was on), so I'm gonna talk to my doc about that. Seems a lot... but we'll see.
-
Leesa, interesting question. And I think it ties into why I'm having so much trouble getting motivated at the moment.
Before children - I was around 69kg. At my 6 week check I was already back to that weight.
Thing is... before I started IVF I'd hit 72kg, and with the eating plan my FS had me on I got down to 65kg - but didn't necessarily feel all that healthy at that weight, just a bit too prone to respiratory infections for my liking.
Then there was the prednisone... when I hit 73kg and realised that the only time in my life I'd ever been heavier was while I was pregnant... And so I got off the prednisone and started to work on my weight...
I got down to 67kg, and have bounced back up to 68kg... I weigh less than what I did when Sam was conceived, and yet... none of my pre-Sam clothing fits.
I'm really torn between dropping another few kg and trying my hardest to get back into those clothes and just accepting that my body shape has changed a bit and Sam has given me hips I'd never had before (I'm pretty much a straight up and down shape with little waist, no hips and small boobs).
In some ways - I think I'm going to be better off accepting the new body shape and just going with it. I'm now on drugs that suppress my immune system and think that getting back to 65kg AND starting work again (exposing myself to so many kids each day, and putting myself back in the firing line for any and all bugs going) might be just a bit much.
So... conflict between being happy with the numbers and happy with my shape and not really knowing what to do at all is leading me to just sort of not actually get started. I'm still eating well, but probably allowing a little too much in the carbohydrate area (I have PCOS with severe insulin resistance - carbs are EVIL for me!) and having a few too many treats. I'm maintaining, but not losing... and I really can't decide what I should do.
BW
-
My goal is more about fitting into clothes easier. I'd be happy with a size 12-14. The day I started this weight loss, I'd just bought my first size 18 skirt. I didn't even take it out of the bag. I refused to go to that size so I took it back and signed up here lol.
-
thank you everyone for the warm welcome :)
ktgirl - i think you're right & that a few weeks focusing on eating well is a great way to start. it's less overwhelming & means i'm less likely to 'fall off the wagon' as well. have you had a chance to try out your new workout gear? wtg on the 8cm loss - that is awesome!
belfie - i know i already said it in another thread but congratulations!
leesa - good question, i have a weight range in mind but i am really driven by knowing how much better i felt when i was losing weight previously & i want that healthy & happy feeling back. i would like to be a much healthier weight by the time DS turns 1.
kaz - gotta love that wii fit!
nai - parties make things so tough! hope there weren't too many temptations thrown your way!
afm, had my first weigh in yesterday & i was down 1.6kg. some of that is because last time i weighed it was later in the day & yesterday it was first thing but from now on i'll always weigh in first thing. still happy with it though. now i just need to think about some more exercise other than the wii fit!
-
Thanks for the replies ladies - keep em coming :D.
I just had to share that I'm so happy - I'm down to the 67's now!!
AND I can fit into all of my 'skinny' clothes, with inches to spare. :D
-
:hello:
I am coming to join you ladies here :leap: I am so :crying: sad with myself, and I can not keep hiding from my weight anymore.
So tomorrow is Day one.
I want to lose around 70kg all up:o and I have until March 2012 to do it.
It will be a long hard road, but TOTALLY worth it in the end.
So at a rough count that is 26 months and I will need to lose around 3kg a month, slow and steady.
I am starting on shakes, to get me motivated, and I plan on actually exercising instead of walking to get somewhere.
I need to do this for me. I always put other before myself, but now it is time for me. Time for me to look after ME.
My positive quote is.........
You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step
See you all soon!

Queen - Welcome to the thread hun. I think it is great you have recognised you have to do this for yourself. You can do it, we are all here to support each other through the journey. I love that quote to!! Keep us updated with how you are going :D
Leesa - Woo hoo hun well done on getting into the 67's :hooray::hooray: As far as what my goal is I have decided I want to be around my wedding day weight as I felt I was pretty happy with that. I can't remember an exact number on the scales that I was then but I do have a pair of jeans I know I was wearing around that time that I want to fit into. So I have come up with a goal of the amount of kg I want to lose which I believe will get me to fit into those jeans.
Sloane - Yay, great loss hun :happyforyou: keep up the good work!!
Kaz - Hahaha you gotta love the wii fit scales when they tell you your weight is going down lol
Hi everyone else. How are you all going?
AFM- Just plodding along at the moment. Didn't do any exercise yesterday or today because of quite bad period pain but plan to get into it again tomorrow. But have still been eating healthy which is the main thing.
