I would love to join in in here...I posted my own thread but I haven't had much response and have just seen this thread so thought I would join!
I just started ww's online on monday so far I am finding it really easy and only needing a little bit of willpower here and there I haven't used all of my point on any of the days so far, which I'm not trying to do, its just happening, when I'm hungry I have been eating. I have realised the problem isn't how much I eat but what I eat and when I do eat bad I eat a fair bit of it,so just making those decisions to eat healthy snacks
I didn't have a set of scales at home so had been weighing myself when we were at mums so 2weeks ago yesterdy (or 10days before joining ww's) I weighed myself so I put that down as my starting weight, I went and bought scales on monday and as of yesterday I am 5.1kg lighter than I was 2weeks before. So I am happy with that, I had also lost a bit more weight before that so I am now 10.1kg lighter than when ds2 was born I am now hoping to lose another 25kg

Your story sounds similar to mine, i've lost 10.7 so far, and have another 20 to loose. On weight watchers too! :p

ktgirl - I hope you get your motivation back, i seem to be lacking it a bit too. Still eating heathy, but only counting points in my head. must start tracking again!
Nai - staying the same is always a good thing! Much better than gaining :)
leesa - thats fabulous that you've reached your goal, and now maintaining! Good luck with it, sometimes maintaining can be just as hard as losing it! But it sounds like you're on the right track, still getting heaps of exercise - good work girl! :p you must feel great, and not to mention - look great!
heading out to a friends for dinner tonight, takeaway. so we'll see how i go! still got heaps of points up my sleeve. only eaten 10 points. So 18 left! surely that'll be enough! :D

well i gained this week, but i am not suprised after the 2kg loss last week, i never loose that quickly. so since 1st of jan i have lost 2 kg.
i did my measurements and since 1st of jan i have lost
0 off my bust
2 cm off under my bust
4 cm off my waist
3 cm off my hips
3 cm off each thigh at the top
1 cm off each thigh ( if i measure at my longest finger tip)
1 cm off each arm, relaxed
so that is a total of 23 cm all up lost. woohoo
i am very excited about this.
if i go back to 21 july 2009 figures
i have lost 51 cm and only 4 kg. ( see what i mean about hardly moving on the scales !)
in that 51 cm i have lost 8 cm off my waist and 16 cm off my abs. WOW
i still have a way to go but i am on the track.

AFM: i have been so good. my DH got some very yummy, almost irresistable bread from the bakery not once but twice this week ( mean, mean man he is, LOL) and i did not have any of it, absolutly none of it.
i am so proud of myself as i do find this bread irresistable and it is also thick cut, i am sure theres only 13 slices in a loaf, it is extra thick, prob million carbs in one sandwich, LOL.
anyway am keeping up the good work

AFM- I think I have my motivation back again. I have been so good so far this week. I did a workout on the wii fit this morning and then my SIL and I just took our kids for a 45min walk. So feeling good today. Lets hope this week I get a loss again :pray: I have to crack that 5kg mark this week
Well it was weigh in day on Sunday and I was down down to 5.6kg from my starting weight which means I lost over my 5% in the last just over 2 weeks if you read my post just before you will know I don't know exactly how much of that weight was this week, but I know it was at least 2.6kg loss this week!!!! I also lost a total of 12cm his week so I am so happy with that! Don't really think I could hope for a better result! I am still finding ww really easy, the structure and point counting really works for me and I find the clear guidelines are exactly what I have needed.
On Sat and again yesterday we also went for a really nice walk as a family along the water with the kids on their bikes (well ds1 had his scooter that dh carried half the time and ds2 was in one of those bikes you strap them into and they have the big handle you push)which was wonderul
I am so happy that my work has shown results...for some silly reason I had myself thinking I couldn't budge the weight no matter what I did and I was somehow exempt from the eat less weigh less method (I know silly)
I'm a little naughty and have been weighing myself everymorning and in the last 2days I have lost another kilo!! :o:dance: The weight just seems to be falling off which is soo exciting, I am feeling really great and just remembering the control I have over my own body. Just remembering even though I can't choose to be the weight I want to be today, I can choose today to be the weight I want to be tomorrow....if that makes sense?

Well I have been a bti bad lately. Am finding it hard to be good since we moved in with my parents. So over the last 2 weeks I have put on 1kg. Ok I think. then I measure my tummy and have put on 5-6cms. How is that even possible?!?!? Am starting to get a bit worried that something else is going on there.

Jas - Well done!!! You're doing soo well! Especially when you say you're not finding it that much of a struggle, must make life easy! Thats what i love about WW, you can eat what you want really.. just have to make sure you count the points! Haha, good on ya for weighing more than once a week! I must say i'm a tad guilty of that myself :shhh: My DH is the worst though - he weighs himself about 3 times a day :rolleyes: haha! Keep up the good work matie! Wont be long and you'll be looking and feeling fantastic!
ktgirl - Dinner out the other night wasn't really that bad! I think i did well. We had thai for dinner. I have absolutely no idea how many points dishes are, so i just chose the dishes that looked healthy. I had plain rice, with some chicken and vegetables, and also a curry dish that was really waterey iykwim (i fugured the 'waterey' look must be a healthier option, cause it clearly didn't have coconut cream - does that even make sense? haha). That is AWESOME that you've got your motivation back! I think mine is back to join me aswell! I have my fingers and toes crossed for you that you hit your 5kg mark this week! :crossfingers:
AFM - this week i did really well! im so happy! I lost 1.2kg! Making my total now, 11.9kg. Which means i'm 82.9kg. Woohoo!!! My motivation has come back BIG TIME now, i'm soo close to being inmy 70's i can smell it! haha! So this week i'm planning on being crazy good, even going to aim for 3 walks! (Might not sound like much, but trust me, its HEAPS! I normally have 0 walks! haha). I'm hoping that I'll reach my 70's in two weeks. So 2 weeks to lose 2.9kg... :pray:

Hey everyone, have been MIA since my b'day and had a wedding in QLD on the w/end but surprisingly i ate OK, not perfect but OK.... lol
Still don't have batteries :redface: but i am feeling ok, eating lots of fruit with DD but don't think i am particularly loosing.
On a great note the dress i wore to the wedding was from before DD1 was born and the sides were a little loose... :dance:
Am hoping to get back on track this week.. will let you know how i go.

Yea ww's are awesome we are having a crazy busy week here and the other night we had dominos, I was looking at those new pizzas but ww's dont have them listed and then I saw some of the pizzas are 3pts a slice so I was able to have some pizza for dinner and while i still fellt guilty I was still well under points for the day! and still lost weight that day!

So update for me is last night I got out some dancing photos of me last night to keep, instead of being depressing now they are actually motivating! In the last 4 days I have lost another 2.1kg :O I just can't believe it! That's 7.7kg in exactly the last 3weeks
Zara - great news that the dress was a bit loose! I LOVE it now that all my shorts are too big for me! Haven't had that in years! Usually things are too small! :p

Well just popped in to tell you all how strong willed i was today!! We had mums group at my house, i cooked little mini quiche things in puff pastry (bite size), and i didn't even TASTE one to make sure it was okay! I just hoped they'd be half decent (and must have been cause they were gone very quickly). The other mums brang a garlic scroll from brumby's, jamdrops, and chips - and nope!! I didn't have ANYTHING!! :dance: Just sipped away at my diet coke :p
Sorry, you guys are really the only people i have to tell this to who actually understand... i mean -garlic scroll?! Not a bite! woohoo! Hahaha! Being so close to my 70's is doing wonders for my will power!

Share away! Completely get it! Last night went out for coffee with friends and only had 2 cappucinos on skim milk, had dinner before I went and everyone had dinner or cakes and I didnt have a single mouthful!
I had mothers group too and it was at my house (we have a thing where if u host u provide food and u dont need to bring food otherwise and I made greens muffins 97% fat free ones they are meant to make 8 muffins 2pts each but I make 16 which are cupcake size so only 1pt each and then I had rockmelon and rice crackers with salsa (most salsa 0pt and 10rice crackers are 1pt) so I was doing really well!
It makes you feel so so good to know that you have the power to say no but still can factor in naughty foods to your diet!

Jas - that is awesome with you only have 2 skinny coffee's! I'm such a failure when i go out, i never seem to have the willpower.. i definately would have headed for the cake! That's also a great idea with dividing the muffin mixure up more. 1 point mini cake sounds great! Give you the cake hit, without taking up too many points, i likey i likey!
In theory i love the sound of salsa, crackers, carrot sticks etc. But in practice - i would never do it :redface: haha! Sounds probably silly.. but its tooo healthy tasting for my liking! :shakehead: When ever i eat it, it just makes me feel like i'm dieting, then i just wanna top myself. LOL! Joking!! I Swear!!!

Congrats on your weight loss too.. keep it up, i have decided my 'FAT' photos are going to be motivation instead of something depressing, although when i look at some of them they are reminders of wonderful times in my life, no matter how big or small.
I want to feel healthier and i have decided the scales cannot dictate that too me, i know i am happy eating fruit etc and chasing my girls so am working on it for them, still wanna get those batteries but am not putting any rush on it.
Hi girls! Weigh in day for me today and although I haven't lost much this week I have cracked the 5kg loss for this year. I only lost .3 this week which was a bit dissapointing, my weight loss has really slowed down at the moment so will have to mix things up a bit as far as exercise is concered I think. I am now down to 75.7kg so I am pleased I have left the 76's behind. Am starting to feel quite good in my clothes again. Although I have only lost 5.2 kg this year I also lost some weight last year so all up I have now lost 10.6kg and 39cm!!Hopefully I can mix my exercise up a bit again to lose my remaining weight :pray:
Zarava - Thats great that you are happy with your healthy eating and running after the girls. The scales can become a little obsesive sometimes.
Jas - Well done on resisting so much temptation at the coffee shop!! And well done so far on your weight loss, you have lost an amazing amount so far :clap:

Just popping in quickly, haven't had time to read back yet, but you'll all be happy to know that I have the nutella situation under control. Had a loss of 1.1 las week so I'm plodding along nicely. My sister's engagement party is next weekend and the only place that my dress is tight is around my bust. Hopefully with a good bra the zip will do up nice and snug :D I can't wait!
Oh girls I haven't been terribly good lately :( Need to get my butt back in here more regularly!!!!!
I'll catch up this weekend and make a fresh start! Three weeks til I return to work....eeek!

afm: well i did my last weigh in at the gym this week and according to them i only lost 600g in the last month, but 5 more cm's are gone forever. i am doing it on my own now and doing well, except for the chips the other night, and i am having a problem with chocolate again, darn that chocolate, why does it have to taste so good ?, no why ? i need to know. arggggg
apart from that, lets just move on now after my chocolate breakdown. i did some laps with the boys on our bikes, 2.4 km today and i had a healthy breakfast this morning and a healthy wrap for lunch too, i am being good today.
keep moving forward, thats what we need to do, don't look back.
ZF, I think that is a wonderful attitude to have with the scales situation! I am sure you will get to your goal!!
Thanks ktgirl, just remember a loss is a loss and just think of it as a stepping stone on your journey, even though it might not be where u want to be you are definitely walking the path! Good on you for cracking that 5kgs!!

JBM, Thanks! If you ever figure out the chocolate situation please let me know! I wonder if you are putting in muscle? Who really cares about the numbers, you are obviously getting smaller and toning up based on the cm's you are losing!
Well I had another victory today! I had a 1st Birthday Party and I managed to be really really good! For lunch I skipped the pasta and potato salad and stuck to the garden salad with no dressing and 1tbs of cheese to make it not feel so restricted. I skipped the sausages and rissoles and had a little bit of chicken, all well within my points allowance
and I skipped the cake and sliceand just had 1 small choc chip biscuit instead (again well within the points values, also my friend, the mum of the little boy, is a pro she does wedding cakes etc and dessert catering so this cake is AMAZING)
I had 2 diet softdrinks (which are 0pts) to keep my hands from wandering to lollies, chips etc
All in all I feel great. I made wise decisions of what to eat, had a really enjoyable meal and time, will be able to lose weight with what I had and I just feel great to get back the knowledge that *I* choose what I eat, I'm not at the mercy of what looks good to my eyes!!!
The little victories are really making me feel wonderful and seeing as I am not starving or feeling like I am missing out on a yummy meal I am really feeling like I am remembering the skills to keep losing weight and then maintain that for life. Not sayign I will never eat birthday cake again, just saying that I don't have to have every single bad option available every time
Jas - That's awesome! You have posted the same things that I have been doing over the past few months. Cutting down but not cutting out completely. I think in some cases going cold turkey can lead to disaster and by having a little bit you satisfy the cravings without going off the rails.
JBM - Good work on the exercise - sounds like you are doing heaps! I agree with not looking back. Learn from your mistakes but definitely don't dwell on what could've been.
Kaz - Come on! You can do it! Time to start healthy habits that can be maintained once you start back at work.
Ktgirl - Congratulations on your loss so far! 0.3 is still a good loss, hopefully you can keep it up next week.

I am just feeling so so good eating like this, I am finding it easy, from time to time I am feeling like something naughty butI have been able to satisfy the craving with something thats not going to allow me to lose weight, I just really feel like I want to get back to eating healthily like I used to do and in a way where I can continue for life not a "diet" as such
Well yesterday was weigh in, I lost a total of 2.1kg and 11cm for the week! I know I had lost that after 4days this week but on day 5 I had put back on 500g or so of it, I had been eating properly and when I thought about it I realised I had a bit of an upset tummy when I went to the toilet (sorry for tmi..was trying to say it as nice as possible) so I think thats why it appeared I had lost so much that day?? Oh well can only be really really happy with saying cya to 2.1kgs!!
Feeling great I'm not feeling really stretched by this, feeling challenged to find more healthy options and also increase my vegetable serves through the day but not feeling like this is really stretching me (which is a great thing...don't feel like I'm abotu to snap back at any second) just feel relaxed and commited, for the long haul

I haven't been able to weigh in as the gym got hit by the massive hailstorm and has been closed for a week due to the roof collapsing etc - so when it re-opens I will update you all :lol:
ETA - I just got my times from the tri and I did it in 1:41 which is better than the 1:45 that I had set myself. I also came 7th in my age group (ok so there was only 9 in it :shhh: but at least I didn't come last!)

Hi guys. Just dropping in! Really on a plateau at the moment. Don't really know where my weight is as I have moved and the scales are different to my old ones. Am doing a fair amount of exercise but can't seem to get my tummy measurements down. I wish I didn't have such a big tummy! I know I need to keep losing fat to get it down but I do seem to hold it there.
On the upside I am getting a massage this friday and found a cute little swimsuit for my weekend away with DH next Thursday.

Sorry if I have missed anyone. I don't get here that often anymore. Did anyone see superskinny me? It put two healthy weight girls onto really strict diets and looked at the effect. They both went a little bit mental with it. Was pretty interesting how easy it can be to get obsessed with it. Sometimes I wonder if I am too. Like my weight is an indicator of my self control and success in life. I know that isn't actually true but I do find myself almost thinking that. I think it will get better after next week as I have been so worried about turning 30 and having to be a certain weight by then for our trip away (e.g. like I don't deserve it unless I look thin enough). I am 5kg away from my goal so know I won't reach it but I haven't had a holiday in years so will really take the time to enjoy it and get my perspective back.

Krys, You have done so so well! Enjoy your time away and your birthday!! I did see the program and I know what you mean! I found it really interesting to see how they got into the mental state so easily and I can see how it happens, I do feel myself obsessing a little bit like weighing in a few times a day etc but I can still eat naughty things, had take away last night but stayed in points etc and I know my mindset is to get fit and healthy to so not concerned in the slightest, I think its just important to make sure you are displaying healthy behaviours and that your mind doesnt go to far that way.
Its only natural to think about weightloss and your bady when you are trying to lose weight, I think as long as you're not on some crazy diet and you're not thinking being a certain size is going to make you happy then you're ok. (I know reaching goals makes ppl happy I mean more ppl get in their heads that if they r a certain weight every area of their lives will be better)

JBM when I was at the gym with a PT, I was the same weight I am now, but a lot skinnier. It's definately about the muscle! BTW my weakness is definitely chocolate too. It sucks! I have shaken my coke (cola lol) addiction though. Now I can't even finish a can without feeling sick because it's so sweet.
Krys ikwym about obsessing. I'm glad I had the break when I was injured to be honest - although I did nothing but sit on the lounge and stuff my face with junk food. Clearly my junk food issues have not resolved! I hate that. Happy Birthday (I'm sure I'll miss it!) and I hope you enjoy your trip!

KTgirl we're at about the same weight, same plateauing I think. I have lost 4.2 kg since going back to exercise - I think it was about 6 weeks ago. I didn't have the 10 kg weight loss behind me though - that is excellent for you! I put on 6 of the 7 kgs I lost before Christmas. I feel so ashamed saying that, but I feel safe saying it here lol.
My short term goal is to get to where I was before Christmas, then to get into the 60's after that. I know it is going to happen, it's just slowwww going. I really need to make the effort to come here more often for the support. Sorry if I missed anyone!
Sorry I haven't been in for a while girls. It has been a bit of a crappy week. My DH Grandfather died on Saturday morning a little unexpectadly. He had an op a few days earlier to remove what they thought was bowel cancer. Everything seemed to be fine then he went down hill very quickly and passed on. They have done the autopsy but it will be a few weeks now before we know the cause of death :cry: On top of that his Aunty also had a heart attack on hearing the news but thankfully she is doing a little better now. I may not be in much next week either as the funeral is next Tuesday and it is about 4 hours away in Bundy which was Grandads home town so we are going on the morning of the funeral and will stay the night and come back the next afternoon.
On a brighter note I lost another .5 this week!!
T4M - Good to see you again. Hun don't feel ashamed to say you put some of the weight back on. We all do it from time to time. The most important thing is you are back on track now :thumbsup:

It was my WI day yesterday and another 1.3kgs and 14cm gone!! FOREVER AND EVER!!!!
All up in my first 3weeks of ww's I have lost 9kg and 37cm!!!!!
Also I found this great motivator! I have had some people comment asking had I lost weight and so obviously its visible and I think I can see a bit of a change and have asked Phil anyway yesterday I realised a way I could tell, I got the measuring tape and put it to the measurements I was before around the different parts of my body, I was quite amazed and very proud of myself too I have to say. I am one of those "lucky" ones that puts weight on around my tummy and I have lost 12.5cm on my hips and 12.5 on my waist!!! It was great to see the difference and apart from the fact that I like the look better I know losing weight off those areas is soo much better health wise and with different risk factors
Jas that's great effort!! I measure myself too. I'm a classic hourglass so all the weight goes directly to my butt and thighs.
Ktgirl sorry to hear about your dh's grandfather and aunty. I hope she's feeling better quickly and that dh's grandfather's funeral goes well.
I went to my dh's parents place over the weekend. My weigh in day is Friday. I had gone up 500g which I blamed on the 2nd piece of home made quiche I had on Thursday night (excuse? lol). So I weighed myself on Sunday and I'm back up a kilo on top of that!! From 2 days?? Frustrating!!
I went to the physio today and she's very happy with my progress and I don't have to go back for 4-6 weeks unless something doesn't feel right. She said she's quite sure my problem was I started running before my core muscles were strong enough to handle it. She's given me a heap of exercises to do to keep them strong (ashamedly none were new to me lol :redface:) and I can work up to running again in the future, but not right now.

Woohoo! I have lost 10kg in 11 weeks and still going strong. I'm on track to reach my goal weight by my birthday. It feels great. I bought a new bra and some gut sucking underwear to go under my new dress and looked awesome for my sister's engagement party. We got our hair and make up professionally done which was a nice bit of pampering too.
T4M - Were you weighing yourself on the same scales at the same time of the day. That could be the reason for the fluctuations. Hopefully that is the reason :crossfingers:

TT - You are amazing! How much have you got left to reach your goal weight? How did you go in the cyclone? I was keen to catch up but ended up leaving early Sunday - didn't want to hang around with no power.
Nai - Awesome triathlon results. They have a try-athlon here, a short course where anyone can just turn up and have a go. I was considering doing it but would need to acquire a bike from somewhere first.
