I think its an acquired taste. I'm sure when I am used to it it will be fine. Someone suggested rice milk.
Mildez, I've heard Zymil is good :) Not sure if its dairy free? But i know people who use it who are lactose intolerant, so I'd assume so?
Livvy - I"m hearing you on your exercise! I read a ww magazine the other day, and the lady was saying her reward for exercising was to buy herself nice lorna jane clothes, so she'd feel like a hottie while doing it. I'm totally going to do it when my wobbly bits stop wobbling so much! Awesome reward I think! I just exercise in one of hubbys shirts, looks like a tent, so i like it! ;) And also re the 85kg. I weighed in at 94.8 last week. You think YOU cried! lol. I was horrified. Considering I was 76kg at my wedding in november last year! SOOOOO BAD! I Yoyo like you wouldn't believe. need to do something about that when I reach goal....
Beckoes - aweosme on the cm loss!
Belfie! Wooop wooop! Nice one on the new clothes!!!
:hello: hello beautitude
Well talk about motivated like no tomorrow!! I went through photos of me while I was at uni. I was a size 12. 65ish kg. I looked so good! I CAN NOT wait to get back there!! I'm so pumped.
Any tips on getting rid of tuckshop arms?? Feel like I could jump off a cliff and fly with these wings under my arms! lol!
Feeling hyper today. not sure why.
YEY! lol
x
Also, I'm already worrying about starting to TTC for #3. I feel like I'm totally in the zone, and if I get a BFP I'll totally lose the motivation. Is it okay to lose weight while pregnant?
Livvy - those heart rates sound absolutely perfect to me! You're doing great (and I'm glad those instructions of mine actually made sense lol!).
TT - It honestly depends on how overweight a lady is re - losing weight whist pg. But I'd triple check with your caregiver once you get that BFP to make sure they are ok with it. Remember, when it comes to exercise and pregnancy women can continue doing whatever exercise they had previously done (prior to being pg). So now is a great time to tuck into the exercise, get your body to adapt to it in preparation for exercising during pregnancy ;).
Mildez - yeah, I know how you feel re no butter. I cut it out totally when I started this cycle of weight loss. So lunch consists of two open face tuna, lettuce and cheese sandwiches - no butter lol. But like all things, humans are good at adapting so give it some time hun.
Hi and welcome Beatitude and beckoes (well, welcome back to you lol)!!
AFM - Of all days to 'maintain' my weight lol!! GAH - what's 200 grams eh? Normally I'd be annoyed big time, but I had a great RPM session this morning and will crack out another Body Attack 'express' session tonight if DD2 is content enough to let me lol with the hope I'll lose that 200 grams tomorrow morning!!! I just went out to replace the battery in my HR monitor (BELFIE!!!!! hehehe), and came back with not only a new battery installed in the monitor but also 4 new bra and pant sets lol. DH saw my splurge and got over the cost when he saw the pretty lace set lol! I further justified it by educating him that poor 'architecture' under an great outfit does the outfit no justice lol!
thank you leesa! was worried about it being high for slogging up those hills, but if you say is okay then yay! they are truly deathly... allenby terrace steps alone are enough! also what is RPM? i looked at your blog a few days ago and you talked about it making your arms and legs great... arms on me seem to be toning up but my legs/hips/love handles have always been my problem area (am a classic pear)... and it would be nice to think that there is hope out there...
tellytubby - am sure if you do get a BFP then it would be fine to continue trying to loose weight (as leesa says it's fine to *keep* exercising in the way that you're used to with pregnancy) and if your diet is sensible (diet in the sense that what we eat is a diet rather than some form of legitimized starvation) and healthy. i mean our paleolithic ancestors managed to procreate (otherwise we may have never come into being) without baking, butter, and potato chips lol. provided you're eating healthily and sensibly then it may be that you don't lose weight, but don't gain much weight with another pregnancy. i have read in many places that if you're underweight when you conceive then your body will gain more weight to make up for it, and if you're overweight then your body might not gain very much outside the baby's weight, placenta and fluids.
anyway.. that's just what i've read, am not a medical professional. it would be best to take the advice of your LMC. essentially the advice is not to diet or try and lose weight while pregnant, but i figure if a diet is not a diet in the hollywood sense then how can it be negative? meaning surely it is better for bub if you are eating good things and keeping fit rather than just lapsing back into junk food... sorry for rambling... brain not really on tonight.
hope everyone is well and happy! remember to smile, if nothing else it gives your face a workout! :)
ugh. had a big bad binge on carbs today... was going so well until we made an onion bread (a savoury bread stuffed with onions, olive and tomatoes - but not a calzone)... was so tasty. should not have had any, but smelt so good just had a "little taste" which turned into 3 slices :duh:
have a cold and feel grotty and even though doing intervals this morning gave me a burst of energy afterwards, am just too urgh feeling to continue it.
man talk about bad weakness day... feel so guilty now.
oh and also forgot to do weigh in this morning... didn't think about it until after breakfast. so will probably be pointless now. we'll see tomorrow or the next day.
