Back to the gym for me tonight!! NO EXCUSES.
I have put on 600g. Eek! Damn conferences with only white bread sandwiches and cream bikkies to eat.
I feel like I have been around 74-75kg for ages. Gotta get past this plateau.
Just looked at last weeks weight and i HAVENT gained 100g woo. Im the same lol.
How frustrating krys!! :wall:
Plateaus suck.
I've been in a real emotional eating rut. Seeing a nutritionist tonight, so hopefully that will help me kick myself back into gear. Today has been really good, but I am really struggling to be motivated. Hmph.
I was 72.1kg today which is even worse than yesterday :crying: and it brings me to a little loss of only 700grams in 5 weeks :crying: my body fat was down another 2% though and muscle up but far out I still expect to see a fall on the scales
Sounds like most of us are in a bit of a rut.... Here's a cheer to get us all going again
:cheer::bluecheer::cheer::bluecheer: :cheer:
I have to say, I am a very sporadic weigher  I have been to PT and Osteo today... and the verdict is that I am very very sore and Osteo has ordered me to REST for 10 days. I negotiated down to 7 ;) But I'm only allowed to walk next week, no running. or high impact activities :wall: I don't want to rest! I like my routine! But I understand how important it is, so DH is going to be hiding the power cable to the treadmill so I can't use it... and I have to cancel my session for later in the week... I am annoyed now!!! And I'm booked to start pilates next week... *sigh*
# Make water your favorite drink. A person must have a minimum of 8 glasses of water in a day. Avoid taking soft drinks or carbonated beverages; moreover replace them with water. Water helps in reducing weight in the most effective manner.
# Don't stuff yourself with food in a single sitting; instead have 5 to 6 small meals or snacks in a day. Eating several small meals helps the body to release less insulin, which keeps blood sugar steady and helps to control hunger.
# Make a habit of walking. Instead of driving car to the nearby market, prefer walking down. Walking is more important for people in sedentary jobs. Walk for at least 45 minutes every day; it helps in burning extra calories.
# Keep small plates for serving food because a study shows that the less food put in front of us, the less food we'll eat. So downsize your food plates and coffee mugs, and say goodbye to those extra calories.
# Eat more vegetables during meals as water-rich foods like zucchini, tomatoes, and cucumbers reduce your overall calorie consumption. Some other water-rich foods include soups and salads; they are good source of nutrition.
MG that sux! I know what it's like when you are in the groove and have to stop training... I remember about 5 years ago I used to get ot the gym every day at 5:30am and if I got called into work early I was sooooo mad so can't imagine being told to take 10 days off! You'll be back into it in no time ;)
Hi beczibeth03
Afm I'm back into it again and will just have to be happy that my Body Fat is going down... I would also like the cm to be going down too  I think I will cut back on carbs (not that I eat too many carbs anyway) I feel desperate :wall: BUT I will get there... We all will
I jumped on the scales this morning and had a peek :hide: down 300g woot! Fingers crossed it stays down dammit :wall:
Cherished i dont think i answered your Q about DPs party , it was good, just a few family members, the cake turned out to be a fruit flan type thing so i think thats better then actualy cake? Am i right? Or just wishful thinking?
Netball tonight :leap: cant wait !! (thats smiley could also be me running to get the ball hehe)
Howd you go with the nutritionist snuggly?
Sucks about the rest MG, good job on negotiating down to seven haha, you could look at it as a refreshing break and after the seven days you will be able to go even harder then before? Maybe :)
Good tips beczibeth03!
:hello: krys, MrSquidipa and anyone else lurking
It's Wednesday. I'm fidgeting.
Herbal tea. Fruit. Knit. Paint nails. Sew. Wax legs. Reorganise wardrobe.
[please add things to my mantra. I am REALLY struggling today]
OK, so the nutritionist sucked. I ended up feeling really guilty over the loss of our baby. She gave me a few reasons it could have happened, which was stupid, because I know why we lost our baby, I feel like we are quite lucky in that respect. Anyway, it was a bit of a waste of time, I thought.
Gardening?
Sucks about the nutritionist!! Atleast you gave it a shot ...
I just finished lunch, had a healthy choices snack thing which is like pasta with a tomato based sauce, garden salad & a bit of bread ... i dont THINK it was too bad, probably should have left out the bread :hide:
Did i mention netball tonight hehe
Snug that's such a shame about the nutritionist, after reading that you were seeing one I was even thinking about seeing one too.... Something does hold me back though because I feel that they are trained with a more conventional way of thinking which I don't feel congruent with as my ideas on health and nutrition are a little more alternative. I'd be interested in why they told you you could have lost the baby! And how rude anyway they are NOT an obstetrician or a specialist in miscarriage are they??? Big honey and I'm on your side through and through ;)
Ammaki it's so great that you love netball so much :)
AFM my friend came over today and I did a great workout again YAY  and I think I will look for a ticker that focuses more on body fat rather than weight loss????? And I'm eating really well today YAY
Now all we have to do is win a few games hehe; nah its all good fun and i run for 30 minutes ... i wonder if id be allowed to wear my ... whats it called? Step counting contraption :dunno: arg i've completely had a mind blank!! Anywho, i got introuble for wearing a hairband around my wrist a few weeks ago () so not sure how i'd go with ... whatever its called. ARG. I seriously cant think of what its called
Yay for eating well cherished!!
Pedometer :)
DH is setting up the bike trainer in the lounge room tonight. I am feeling so blue. Might try and force it out through my legs a bit. Riding on the trainer is 50 times harder than on a normal bike, so should help me build up my pistons (that's what I call my legs)
At some stage I will have to do something to build up my upper body strength too.
Hey snug bug you piston pusher :p I tend to do more upper body stuff all the time, the only leg things I really do regularly are squats and walking... I have just started training like I used to do and that is one day cardio chest, tris abs and one set of 20 squats, the next session is cardio back, bis, abs and 20 squats and the next session is cardio, heaps of squats, legs, butt and thighs and abs :)
Hope you feel better tomorrow... I tell you what I pulled all the resources I had to get myself back motivated today and I am really impressed with myself for not giving up even though I saw an increase on the scales
Hey Snug- sorry you are feeling down. It must be the time of year I think. I hope the bike riding helps. You definitely need a bit of TLC I think. Big hugs.
I have really been avoiding Calorie King. Finally went on today and was happy to see that I didnt go over yesterday or today. I have lost a little bit of faith that I can get my weight any further down so I really have to shake that out. Plus work is soooo sucky at the moment. Bring on January so I can walk away from that place once and for all. Sigh.
Anyway I am going to gear up the weight loss this week. We can do it! We can do it! Yes we can!
Oh krysalyss, dont' give up! You have done so amazing well and your Huge loss so far proves that calorie counting works ;) Stick with it and maybe shake up your excercise routine so that your body thinks it is different and burns more fat? (just an idea, I'm sure you do that anyway)
AFM I am back into the groove and am sooooooo proud of myself for not giving up yesterday and instead I somehow motivated myself to just keep going because 'I know calorie counting does work'... And it payed off, today I was down to 70.4 kg  So excited again and am looking forward to weighing in on Moonday now :)
