I really like my flex. I didn't know I could add friends Tenibear. Lol. Would love to add you, or you add me, if I figure out how. :)

For those with a flex- how are you setting your calorie burn goal? I basically want a 1200 cal diet and burn up to 400 cal from exercise. However these two sections on the flex are showing high numbers. It's a tad confusing.
Is anyone using a different brand tracker?
I've been thinking of getting one for a few months. Now that netball season is starting up again, I'm thinking more about it. I was thinking the fit bit, but would like to know what else is out there. I don't mind the look of the Nike fuelband.
ETA - I like that the Jawbone Up tracks your moods as well...
I've got a HRM but I've got absolutely no idea how to use it :(
Love my fitbit flex.
I got mine on the 25th January 2014 and today just received my 750km badge.mcan tbelieve I have walked that far.
I aim for 15000 a day. Today I reached 18000 steps, in 10weeks I have lost 17kg and my fit it plays a major role (as well as a healthy diet that is mainly protein based but does allow grain serving in the morning, and fruit and vege servings at lunch and dinner. All other snacks must be protein only. I do 5000 steps before breakfast so that I can reach my goal and on a work day that means I am up at 5am and out walking by 5:10! It's a huge motivator and now my mum, sisters and work mates have a fitbit too.
The recommendations are 10000 steps a day for general health and 15000 for weight loss. The average Australian only walks 5000 steps a day.
We did a walking challenge about 12 months ago & used a pedometer, recording every day. I liked the challenge & found I was making more effort when I had it on.
I wore it to a 30th one night. I got over 16000 for that night, but a very little 3000 the next day ;) my average over the week was only about 7000/day.
This is why I want to try a tracker. I've been wanting to get up early & walk, but I'm exhausted every morning & struggling through each day. I want the sleep tracker as well as the fitness to get me started. I'm hoping to pick one up second hand on eBay :)
And I know if I try the food diary, I'll eat better!
I'm poking my head in here as I bought a Fitbit Flex today :D I'm wearing tonight to see how crappy my nights really are
So, doing laps of my house at 11:55 makes me dizzy. Who knew?
Only 12% off my goal by midnight, too...
I got my fit bit flex today :)
If anyone wants to be my friend () let me know and I'll PM you the link to my profile :) Or, just PM me the link to yours... That would probably be easier...
How do you be friends
I've PMed you to show you :)
So I have found out that I am quite restless when I am sleeping!!!!
I've found the opposite - apparently I get a lot more sleep than I thought I did  Though Saturday, my busiest day in a while, I was operating on three hours sleep... Thanks Misses A & E
Word of caution - they are not v accurate for the sleeping stuff - you can be awake with moving much & asleep but active.
Yeah I know, but it is still interesting to see.
Don't get me wrong, I would love one! Just probably more useful for looking at your trends over a period of time rather than a single night.
