I am working towards classes... but at the moment I feel like everything is a struggle. My knees are on the way out now as well :( It just seems that every time I move FORWARD, something pushes me back :(
At the moment, I can walk. I do 30 min most days and usually walk at 5.8Km an hour. Walking faster throws my back. I usually use an incline going up to about 4. When I jog it's at 8Km and hour for a maximum of 5 minutes.
I've recently begun to do xtrainer with D. Last time he let me do 5.5 minutes. It didn't seem hard on my legs and no back pain.
I am doing the plan on my toes. I can usually hold for up to a minute. I've recently begun to alter it at home. I put one foot over the other so the weight is on one leg. I alternate legs.
I'm not able to do lunges or step ups because it stirs my hip flexor too much and then I suffer for about a week.
Squats are too easy. Even with the fitball behind my back and weights in my hand.
At the moment I am unable to do the bridge (think pelvic floor exercise) because my back muscles have deteriated.
I can do 12 push ups on my knees.
I physically can't do sit ups unless someone is on my feet.
I do the romanian dead lift with an empty bar. I only do 5-10 reps and 2 sets. Last time I did them with more than that, I suffered for two weeks.
I want and need to build my leg and back muscles. My upper body is going ok because it was all we worked for about 10 months. My body is a massive PEAR at the moment. I've lost about 2 dress sizes in my upper body and 1 (at best) in my lower body. I want to lose my bum, tum, and thighs. I want to be able to run again. But running is so long term for me at the moment. Jogging sets off my sciatic line (best way to describe where it hits me hard but it is purely muscle issues there... and discs compressing on nerves but hey, them's the breaks!). I NEED to build all the muscles required for running from scratch and retrain my body. I NEED the release from cardio or I'll go mad. But I need something short term to keep me going. My aim is to hit 80Kg. I'm currently 107-108 (depending on the day). I want to have another bubba (SSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) but am not happy to TTC until I'm under 100Kg. I need to strengthen my back and pelvis and hips to avoid nasty issues during PG and after bubs arrives. Despite my burning desire for another bubba, I STILL can't find the motivation I need to do this :( I'm currently sitting in front of my laptop with my cook books everywhere, pouring through them looking for low cal (filling) meals to have so I can hopefully get under my daily allowance and lose some weight. But my big issues is snacking. I'm hopeless.
I'm sorry, I've waffled and gone off on a tangent. Thanks for listening/reading and helping me out girls!
