How old were you when you learned how to swim and ride a bike?

I could swim independently (play in the pool etc) since I was 8, and ride a bike from before I went to school (so I'm guessing 5?). Wondering when you and your kids learned these skills? Being active is important to us, and when DD2 is earthside I want to get back on the bike to lose weight. DD1 can swim independently with a vest on and ride with training wheels, she is 3, but I think that is pretty early.

DS was 3 with training wheels and 4 without. He won't even put his head under the water but I am hoping he will learn to swim with school lessons next summer.

i started swimming lessons very early, i could actually swim independently for short distances from 18 months. i was able to ride a bike at around 4 or 5 too i think?

I didn't do lessons until I was in like grade 5 but could safely use a best etc and get out of the pool.

Both girls can use a noodle or life jacket & swim alone, DD2 can jump off my knee & swim under water to the edge on her own, she's 2.

DD1 is learning to ride her bike with training wheels, she's 3.

I rode a bike before school.

My DD1 can swim the width of our pool which is about 3.5 mtrs from edge to edge with no vest or floaties, just herself and she is 3 we are so proud of her. She's been swimming since 4mths old.

She can ride her bike with training wheels too.

Me, I can't remember I think I was 8 when I rode with no trainers & well I was a swimmer as a kid and trained after school daily so swimming is in our blood!!

But now I'm just lazy & fat

I was a swimmer in high school fat n lazy here too.
Girls only started lessons in November so I'm ver proud of their efforts.
Each child will adjust in their own way/time too

I started swimming probably at about 6 I think. Could ride a bike at more like 4

DD1 could ride a bike with training wheels by 2 and DD2 more like 2.5, but TBH neither of them are particularly interested in bikes - they prefer their scooters.

Swimming both my girls have been very early and could swim to the edge of the pool by 2.5 without any form of assistance. Now at 4 and 5 they can swim about 20 metres by themselves unassisted. We have a pool so the swimming thing is something I've really pushed.

I had swimming lessons from about 6 mths old, I can't remember not being able to swim. I think I got my 1st 2 wheeler bike when I was about 6 or 7.

Thanks all. It is important to us but I try not to push her... more encourage her to reach the best of her abilities when it comes to physical things. I think it enables them to play more if that makes sense... they can join in on these things we do often .

I got my first bike from Santa at 5, but I rode horses from the age of 1. Not sure when I started swimming but have always been in the water
