Omg, I am so so very hungry!!
Drink some water when you feel hungry.
I have the opposite problem, the main meals are enough for me, I rarely have the snacks. I had to push myself to have breakfast today, lunch will probably be a modification of Monday's lunch (have run out of turkey so just having the avo & sprouts). Tonight Pandora & I are having dinner together :)
I am hungry this arvo. I was super full from lunch but have just made myself a yummy Jarrah hot choc to get rid of the hunger!
Maybe give of those a try :)
Thanks for the tip enchanted! Will pick up some of those tomorrow.
I am hungry but fighting my way through it, it is mainly now when I am used to snacking..... I use the snacks b/c I have large gaps between mealtimes - like 6 hours
you can still have snacks, you're allowed 300 cals a day of snacks, maybe plan some for after dinner.
It's normal to feel hungry for the first 2-3 weeks, expect to.once your metabolism starts working more efficiently and your vlood sugar levels are a bit more balanced you won't feels as hungry.
If you want to a chromium supplement (a few brands make them, blackmores have one) can help.
Anyone struggle to hit high calorie workout today? I did an RPM class and only hit 370 cals. I did take it a little easy b/c I have had some issues with feeling dizzy if I push myself too hard. Do you think I should workout tomorrow?- I won't be able to do anything else today.
It helps balance blood sugar. The Blackmore one is called 'sugar balance' stops cravings etc
Thanks for that. I am going to try to push through them & if no good by next week will get some.
Just did my shopping for the week! Was a little more expensive than last week, but very excited to get cooking!
Me too kimmi! Are you following the meals every night? I am only cooking for myself so I just pick two or three meals, this week I am making the Thai pumpkin soup, the pork and the fish. Yummm, can't wait! I buy a salad for lunch so don't buy the full weeks worth of food. This week I got some snacks though so I don't get as hungry, I got a 6 pack of yoghurt and the jarrah hot chocolates, and a pack of skinny cow icecream.
Treat meal tonight! It's my birthday on Tuesday so we are having a family dinner :) I didn't get time to do the SSS, which is annoying me so badly! That with my birthday dinner I am not expecting great numbers this week, but hopefully it will still be an ok loss.
I'm doing that with the lunches making 2-3 for the week.
Dinners, some DH and the kids will have too (stir fry for example) other things he won't eat like soups.
The next two weeks will be hard budget wise. I will be going through the recipe index as well as the crunch time cookbook and finding things we have most of the ingredients for already and sticking to those.
same here, today was close on $250.
Have made my chicken for the week, yet to do the zucchini. Lovin' the broccoli soup, surprisingly! Have frozen it in tall tupperware tumblers to take to work during the week. Bought some snags for DH & DS1 to eat with the zucchini bake, and made them up a pasta with chicken, tomato & bean sauce with leftovers from last week.
Suspect lots of celery for snacks this week.
I've been reading lots of good feedback about the broccoli soup. I haven't made it yet, but this and a couple of other soups might be my life saver over the next 2 weeks. We're moving house in just under 2 weeks, and I'm struggling to get my head around planning, and preparing meals when I have a million other things to do. I've made a couple of things that have been easy, and I've cooked a few basic meals I usually make but just making sure I have the right portion and count calories (wow, was I eating too much at dinner time!).
Exercise is the one thing I have been doing well at. Surprisingly, I am in the intermediate group after beating my 1km time trial from round 1 by 2 minutes. I am loving the exercise, way more than I did last round. I think it's because I know I can push myself that much more now. Last round, I was scared to do the 1000 steps, now I can't wait to get down there to do it. So far, for this round I have lost 1.3kg.
If I can get through these 2 weeks without a gain, I will be happy and any loss will be a bonus.
Kazbah - $250 :o Was that including all the normal extras though!?!
I spent $127 today which included nappies and a few extras. I already had the chicken in the freezer and a few herbs here but I got everything else on the shopping list from the 12WBT.
Kazbah, do you go by the same name on the 12wbt forums?
