Pandora - aim for about a 400cal burn for the DVD :)
When I stop coughing up a lung each time I exert myself I'm going to go to the gym, might have to push myself for an easy workout tomorrow, to get back into it again.

Well no exercise for me last night. Got home at 7 put both kids to bed, which took til 9 then fell asleep til 1130 :(
Don't beat yourself up. Go for a walk at lunchtime today.
I'm going to get a body wrap in about an hour, then I need to go for a jog, so will take it easy and just amble around the neighbourhood.
Can someone add me to page you have for the 12 week challange, cant afford to sign up so need a little extra encouragement :)
Just going through it all, I'm opting for the outside workouts!!
I have my shopping list ready to go for tomorrow, bring on a skinny me!!!!!!!
YAY, I'm going shopping probably on Sunday as I have work tomorrow and uni all day saturday!
I'm going to do my shop either on Saturday or Sunday, get things cut up & put into my fridgesmart containers. Need to check what I've got in the fridge first from my shop during the week.
Some of the things I might get frozen (like the prawns). May or may not mix it up a bit and pull a few things from round 1 (same cal value) for dishes I'm not 100% happy with.
The menus are different for round 2, more "comfort" foods which is great :) I'm thinking the breakfasts I might just have them warm instead of just warming the berries to defrost (might warm the milk too).
I checked out the week 1 program and have a couple of questions-
Food, is it ok to pick a few of the dinners only and repeat them? Eg, I want to do a batch of the chicken noodle soup and have it 3 times, I want to do the pizzas twice and the steak once? Also, for lunches, I want to have the same thing for 4 days and then a soup for the other 3 (on the days I didn't have it for dinner!). In the past, two much variety has made it too hard for me to stick too!
Exercise- I want to do the home option, but all of the other options look like they are going to burn way more cals! Am I cheating by sticking to the DVDs, or are they roughly the same cals burnt as all the other programs?
As long as the calories as similar you can swap away.
Aim for 500cal/day exercise. If you don't have a hrm, calorie king website will give a good idea.
Mish wouldn't list the DVD on it's own as an option if it wasn't a real alternative
Hey all, I am feeling very overwhelmed about doing this now. At first I was very excited and have all my pre season tasks done etc.... but I have that dark cloud/anxiety that this is going to be another thing I won't see to the end. I don't know how to get past it. Should I revisit the pre-work stuff?
Thanks pandora, i got an ft7 for mothers day so if i find im not making 500 cals i can top it up with a run, or some of the outside excercise.
Richichi, I found going back and listening to the preseason stuff again helped. I am still feeling stressed and disorganized! Df has broken his arm and I am barely coping with day to day stuff whilst working full time (he is a sahd, so I am having to do practically everything!), I am not convinced I am going to be able to give it 100%, especially with excercise. I'm just going to focus on making it as simple as possible and JFDI!! Lol. Good luck!
yes you can just do the DVDs you just need to push yourself, don't just stick to the easy exercises.
I regularly go back to the preseason tasks. Mish does do videos each week.
400 to 500 cals burnt each session except Friday which is less coz Saturday is a huge day.
You will lose weight on the food alone.
Today i walked 4.5kms at a reasonable pace, enough to have a wet business shirt when i got home. Tomorrow I'm going to head to the gym for a big session tomorrow.
Oh phew! Glad to know I am not the only one! I spoke briefly to DH tonight about it but he just gotten home from work after a busy day, so he wasn't up for planning plus my IL's are here atm, so we haven't been able to chat properly about it yet
Sopdet - good to know I can still lose weight just by doing the food part. I am committed to seeing a personal trainer twice a week as well as yoga but my biggets hurdle will be towards the end of the week & weekend with exercise
Richichi I still haven't even told df I am doing it... V bad I know!
Good luck planning, It really is 80% about the food and 20% about the exercise. In the past I have had it round the wrong way, concentrated so hard in the exercise and not been great with the food, and while it still had results I am looking forward to seeing a bigger pay off this time around!
I need to sit down with DH & go through some of the meal plans b/c some of the meals I don't think DD will eat & we want to all eat together like we do now.
I spoke to a friend last night & he has done bodytrim and lost about 20 kgs & looks awesome. He only walks & said the change in his food habits has been the main factor for the weight loss, so appletree you are right, it is 80% food!
And it's on!! I has an awesome start, spent yesterday in bed with gastro ... X(
On the plus side I am already 300gs down, but I also couldn't face the breakfast this morning! Stuck to my normal vegemite wholemeal toast. I also didn't get around to doing my batch of the soup or the fitness test, but I'm sure I will get them done soon enough!
Hope you guys have a great first day, would love to hear how it goes!
Oh no appletree! When you are feeling better, just start then.
I will be doing my fitness test on Tuesday night - only time I can fit it in. DH will take my photo tonight.
I haven't been able to shop for the week, so will do that tonight/tomorrow night.
Didn't follow her breakfast but alternated for 2 organic weet-bix w/ skim milk & a mandarin - has a similar calorie count. Will be needing the snacks of 300 cals otherwise I think I will pass out! Looking forward to lunch today - sounds yummy!
