well done Kaz and schaz
Kaz - I showed crack that would make a plumber blush :D
Lucky I had my granny undies on :D
I have been MIA cause it was my birthday and I celebrated a little too heavily with food and then was too ashamed to come back!!
I am getting back on the wagon as of now I promise, I weighed myself on wed and had put on .8kg in the week but AF had just arrived so I hope that was some of he extra weight.
Well done to everyone who is being good and who has lost weight.
well I didnt manage to get in to TF to get weighed on the proper scales today. I did make it to geelong but DS was asleep so I had to come home again :(
According to our scales I have lost 3kg in the past fortnight, so thats 6 all up. :) huzzah!
well done rayray!!! woohooooo!!!!!
Well my lovelies... Less than a week till our fitst official weigh & measure... I am so hoping I see a measurement change...
I went for my 12km walk yesterday... was a bit more challenging with Alexa in the pram... had to stop a bit to get her sorted LOL... but We still did it !!!!! & luckily Im not even really sore today... yahoo...
Have been a bit naughty on the food front this weekend .. so will have to make up for it this week!!!!
MrsMac - Welcome back! The damage doesn't sound too bad once AF leaves. You can't not enjoy your b'day ;)
Kaz - PMSL - my stomach hurts!! woohoo to granny undies they might not be sexy but they are dependendable when you need 'em! :)
RayRay - congrats on the 6kg loss. WTG!
Mitch - well done on running full stop plus running with a pram. Sounds mighty complicated and to have a high degree of difficulty - perhaps it should be put forward as an Olympic sport?
Mitch well done on the walk hon. I had a look at Alexa's pics too - how cute is she?? You've given me a right kick up the backside reminding me about weighing in next week...
Speaking of backsides - Kaz I laughed out loud. What on earth were you doing??? I'm so glad for you though. No offence but it must have made you realise how much your body is changing.
Ray I beleive you about the days being different though. I reckon that too. My lump of a DH gets 32 points as well - and he complains that he's starving and doesn't get a big enough allowance - I get 18 :wall:
How's the bike Lucy?
Schaz, hope your shakes arrive soon. Well done on the making the decision to walk the long way - that's half the battle. I find that those Inner Health Plus capsules bloat me like that.
Been a bit MIA the last few days. My parents came out to visit. We spent Australia Day wine tasting - as you can imagine there are a kazillion points/calories/kilojoules/whatever in a whole bottle of champagne.... Well we are in the middle of wine country, it's my fave winery and they've just released a new range...:wall: champagne probably wouldn't have been so bad, but this is also one of the great foodie spots on the map...so all that was probably the worst bit. However they are gone now and the pram wheels are fixed, so we're heading out this arvie for a biiiig walk.
Ummm I was wearing Pip in a bjorn and my pants slid down past my butt - earlier I'd been lying on the floor at the vet with my dog and they were down low there too.
I've been trying those "pharmacist choice" shakes - they're quite nice actually. Will have one for lunch :D Not going running today, and tonight I'm going out to dinner with some g/f - I might do my measurements now, before the week of wedding revelry and excesses!
Kim - a bit of wine's good for the soul. What's your fave winery?
Oh no - at least you had hands free to whip them up again....
DeBortoli's today...lol it changes regularly. But they have recently released a new bubbly range called Emeri - it is fantastic!
Ooooh. I LOVE bubbly :D
kazbah ~ PMSL that is a classical weight loss story but well done i'm proud of you all we are doing so well yay us
i cleaned my closet out today and guess what i can get in to my size 12 pants with ease woooohoooooo ive been a steady size 14 bottom 16 top for so long now i''m very stoked with my progress i even got my DH to join TF too he has lost 4 kg this week
kaz - is this weight loss going to cause problems with a "certain" dress for next weekend?????????
Well done Shazz ...that's great!
I can't wait to get back into my size 12's. I will need to learn to be patient I think as I only lost a measly 200g this week :( I will just keep plodding along. I refuse to be discouraged or give up. I only had one day where I went way over 1200 calories this week and I went on 3 walks for at least 30mins each and will probably go on another this arv. (Not something I would have done a month ago!).
I'm off to mow 1,000m2 of lawn, about 1/3 of it over knee high (so will require a 2nd mow), our stupid-PITA-stay-longer-than-planned-i-know-everything-about-everything-and-am-always-right housemate was supposed to do it last weekend for a reduction in last week's rent, but he got a friend to do it instead and he only did about 2/3 of it (and badly) so I have to do it today - at least it will be exercise for about 1 hour, then I'm going to sweep/mop/dust the lounge/hallway (we have polished wood floors so I'm putting the rugs on the line to air after the mowing has been done), that should take another 30 mins.
Kaz I have to thank you hun. I started to read the Couch to 5km thread, and I just found you so inspiring. I started this morning without even thinking about it. Just threw Darcy in the pram and went. I'm on my own so I have no choice but to thake her and I threw in a couple of hills for fun - lol I bet i will laugh at this enthusiasm tomorrow.
I also dug out my pedometer.
I could just kiss you :D
Go Shazz!
Wow that's a bit of hard yakka Sharon. I have discovered since DH is away that I love mowing the lawn - don't know whether I'd love that much...though we're looking at 5acres and he got all excited about a rideon. I got cranky at him lol.
I ended up only doing the bits that hadn't been done last weekend (it was nearly waist high in places) and it took me just under an hour and I sweated the whole time! DH can re-mow the lot during the week when he gets home.
Now I'm off to the shops to buy a belt for all my work pants (they're starting to fall off and I'm not buying new ones yet!), I also might put a few dresses on layby.
WOOOHOOo punkin! (glad you kept the av hun)
Ummm my dress will fit fine - it's heavily boned and doesn't have zips, just laces up the back. So can be tight etc :D
Last night some girls took me out for a mini-hens' night (waaaay fun) and I ate too much, drank too much, but hey, I'm only getting married once! BUT after the pants incident, I tried on a party dress of mine that I haven't been able to zip up for about 18 months, and it fit! And that was without the "suck your guts in" undies! Those undies just made my torso a bit more sleek (IE no flab rolls )
This week mum's taking me to buy some "wedding underwear" - just briefs, cause I'm not needing a bra under the dress (unless there's minkee involved....) and I think I know exactly what I want, the boy-leg lace undies that will sit nicely and also keep the flabs in place :lol::lol:
Kim - which Kaz, we're both doing it! (I'm getting so confused!!!!)
Should go for a run tonight, but I need to cook for mum & dad, plus Trev. And not until he gets back from picking up the trailer, so that won't be for about an hour .... and I've been drinking white wine too
Have a good day all!
You hun. Kazbah. Thankyou from the bottom of my heart ---oh I bet you're getting excited!!
Hey everyone!!
I've been a bit MIA these days and havent managed to read back on the posts. But I will soon!! I have skimmed over and seen that some people have lost some weight - woohoo to those people!!
I've hit a bit of a wall with my weight loss. I want to lose another 1.5kg by my birthday on Sunday but I dont think that is going to happen!! I feel like my body is holding on to some fat because I am still breastfeeding. And I am going to keep breastfeeding for a while or I am going to have no boobs! LOL I am going to be flat chested when I am done cause I have lost so much weight :( Why oh WHY do we need to lose it in the chest area??!!
I bought myself a DRESS today. I have not bought a dress in agggggggges!! My aim is to totally change my wardrobe and just buy stuff I never thought I would. I am quite liking my clothes these days! I still have heaps more to buy before I can throw out my old stuff and welcome the new, skinnier me in to the world! :D
I just realised.........do we have to send our weight in / measurements in on Friday? Lea?
Lucy, yes 1st Feb is the day.
well its happening again, really low weight on the scales today and after all the chocolate after mondays ikea trip, I dont get it! We'll see what tomorrow brings.
Ngala -- there are a couple of things (other than the b/f) that can slow or stall weight loss:
- being close to your goal/ideal weight - you tend to lose weight slower the closer you get
- your body gets used to the diet and the exercise levels, so sometimes you need to change it up a bit to fool your body!
- not drinking enough water -this is a big one, but I expect if you ar b/f you're having 1.5-2 litres a day anyway.
Well I have only got 1 shake left and then I will try WW for a bit. I really cant justify the $ at the moment for TF shakes, especially as I've having 6 days off work next month so will be down 1/4 of my normal pay.
So WW as of tomorrow, I hope that things still head in the right direction!
I have a feeling that the scales arent going to be too friendly this week.... I havent done nearly enough exercise & have not been very good with my eating either...
Water consumption has dropped & coffee consumption upped again.... I hate cooler weather LOL... better go fill my water bottle now!!!
Will see what the scales & tape measure tell me tomorrow morning.....
Ummm well after today's effort (the Sofitel "Cafe La" is NOT good for dieting! - mmmm buffet .... ) I'm sure they won't be friendly to me either. Will be doing the measurements tonight though!
I am not expecting much of a loss either this week because AF has arrived today but I don't really care about my weight right now - just very happy that AF is back of it's own accord after many many years on BCP!
I have a confession to make girls.......I broke and had a cigarette the other night!! and double . DP had bought some and I was seeing them on the patio all day on Monday. I rationalised it that I wasn't breaking my rules (DP and I used to always share) so I wasn't bludging and wasn't buying. Regretted it almost immediately and then proceeded to feel amazingly awfully unwell. Very very ordinary and it was a whole body evil feeling that hung around for a while. I almost didn't eat dinner but in the end that is what helped me feel better I think. Feel very stupid but I also feel glad I had such a negative adverse reaction (which I've never had before btw) because I don't care what context smoking happens in now, I am not in a hurry to repeat that experience!
Kaz, as mad as it sounds, that is good that you had such a yuk reaction! Sometimes you have to test the water perhaps to realise that you a now a "non smoker"?
I only lost 1kg today at my weigt in today ....but I have AF, so I guess I am not surprised..........But I have lost a lot of cm's, so happy about that!
Sorry girls I have been MIA myself!!! Don't even ask...
Yep weigh in's are due from tomorrow onwards. If possible it'd be great to get them all in by say Tuesday?? Then I can make an announcement as to our leaders...
all in Nat i had to get up extra early
Hey Lucy I think you're right - I am now totally and completely comfortable to call myself a non-smoker and am proud of that (I thought I was before but never totally there). A kg lost is a kg lost, especially with AF around. Good one on the cms - they are the most important aren't they? in terms of clothes and stuff? You will probably have a much bigger loss next week.
I have lost 0.5 since Monday but am happy with that because I also have AF.
Good luck to everyone - I hope you are all happy with your results :)
That's definitley a good reaction from your body Kaz.
Good luck this weekend Kazbah!!
Nat all sent in hun. Mine are probably ealrier than they should be, but I'll forget.
Hey everyone!
I sent my stats in :) After a bit of a slow start I am happy with my end results. I lost 2.7kg, 2cm's from my waist, hips and thighs and 1cm from my arms
Hope everyone else went well!!
will be doing measurements this weekend. All up I lost 4kg
Feeling pretty despondent about it cause i have gained ! but its my own fault for not really being tough on myself. Well send measurements etc tomorrow Nat.
****. I just stayed on the exercise bike through the whole of "Survivor China", & the whole of "Wife Swap".........(can you tell I watch quality TV...not.....LOL!) and I realise that i have cycled the equivalent of over 80km!!
That's awesome Lucy! And whoa, just look at your ticker, you're doing fantastically! (as is everyone I'm sure). I wanna join this too :D I got a big transformation to make.
Hi girls,
Lea I will try to get my measurements done for you tomorrow. I don't think I've lost any weight, but then I've really not gone well on the exercise front (another long story!).
Well done to everyone who is losing cm's!!
I will send you through my details tomorrow Lea.
I have had the worst weekend, food wise.
Tomorrow will be better, I have a gym assessment in the morning, personal training tomorrow night and circuit class on Tuesday.
Then I am off on holiday (and offline) for a week - this will be the killer - and then once I get back home will be finding a WW meeting to go to.
I let myself have a day off today. I didn't worry about counting points and I don't feel bad about it. I'm even keen to start again tomorrow.
I am suprised that I lost a few centimetres here and there. and am up to 4.5kgs all up. eta and a cup size :( Gone from 12D to 12 C - of course that's where I want it gone from - NOT!
Ray I just had a look at you before and halfway shots - how good do you look????
Toddles of to admire everyone elses....
