Howdy! I had an average week but still scales said a loss of 0.2Kg. Too many birthdays, sick kidlets, work, the excuses for me could go on and on. But I was better than I would normally be food wise - so to hopefully get the exercise back on track here this week. Girls here have high temps and I haven't had much sleep but have shopped well with lots of vege's and fruit rather than rubbish. I am aiming to keep at it despite having the odd less than perfect day! So for breaky I had porridge with sultanas, coffee (cos I can't function without it at this stage). Lunch is tuna salad. Dinner baked chicken breast and salad. So a plan at least! Interested in other food plans as I tend to stick to a meat/protein serve with vege/salad and avoiding the pasta/rice meals a bit.
My butt hurts! Just did the complete daily butt workout that I downloaded to my phone while Belley power napped, and realised I have a really weak bum lol. Better than seeing Zumba guy again though!
Cherished, you're a champ with that list, it's fantastic :)
RhiChiChi & Mak, a few bad days isn't the end of the world. My whole week last week wasn't great, but you just acknowledge it, move on and do better. A few small slip ups here and there is better than not doing anything about it at all.
Krysalyss, congrats on the soccer win! Sounds like the team aren't exactly the friendly kind though, hope you can find something else you love with nice people now that the soccer's over.
Not doing too bad here, planning another walk after Rattle & Rhyme. Found out there's a local store that stocks Sketchers so hopefully they have Shape Ups and might buy a pair (to help out my weak butt lol). I'm finding planning is the key to my eating. In the morning I chop up vegies and have fruit on hand so I snack on good things instead of grabbing something not so good.
Hope everyone's having a good start to the week :)
ok so im doing ok. i did a 1hr work out on fri and have paid all weekend lol. was going to do more today but bubs is refusing to sleep other than on me :(
Missed the gym today cause DS2 woke up with croup. Can't believe it! Will do something here shortly . Considered riding my exercise bike, but I think my groin is still too sore after cycle class yesterday. Might get you tubing and see what I can find.
Hi Ladies :hello:
Doing pretty well here, managing to get a walk in every day, and still havent touched a lolly, chocolate or bickie in 2.5 weeks. But last night I saw some pics of me on FB taken over the weekend, and it really got me down :( It's like what some of you spoke about earlier in the thread, you dont think you look as big as you really are. I pretty much had a double chin in every photo :shakehead: But, onwards and upwards.....Rome wasn't built in a day so I will keep walking and keep the faith that the kilos will fade away.
Hope everyone else is doing well. Berrme, big cuddles to your DS, the poor thing
hugs Berme, hope DS is better soon.
It was mid-autumn festival here yesterday (dont know why its called that since we are only afew days into autumn) and it was the time for eating moon cakes, which I did, alot. So expecting a gain here this week.
I went through my closet and have weeded out all the clothes that dont fit, and wont fit for awhile. VERY depressing. I have 1 pair of jeans that fit, but got the rolly polly baby stomach over it/ around it. (sigh) gotta do more walks, my sisters here from thursday arvo, but she has a bung hip so probably not much walking outside will be done (another sigh) Better get back on track with the eating, more fruit, less carbs NO sweet stuff
Its real roller coaster this weight loss thingy hey! Glad your all on it with me :grouphug:
Oh Berrme, your poor DS :( Hope he's feeling ok and gets better soon. You Tube's a good idea if he naps.
Many hugs Manhattan. I know exactly how you feel about the photos. I never feel that big, then I catch myself sideways in a mirror, or see a picture, and it's hard realising how everyone else sees me. But, congrats on 2.5 weeks with no choccy lollies and biscuits! That's great work :D
DT, just think of all those clothes as motivation! When you can fit them again it'll be like getting a whole new wardrobe!
Well, no walk here today - went to Mother's Group which lasted a lot longer than expected. But as soon as Belley's asleep I've got loads of housework to do, does that count? Big walk planned for tomorrow at least.
Hope everyone's having a great day :)
Yahooo just quickly wanted to come in as it's the 1st time I can actually post and say that I'd had a great day! eaten well, recorded food, drank water, slept for 1.5hr's in the arvo and then did a workout. A small work out but hey... gotta start slowly lol :cheer:
Back for persies tomorrow :D
Hi guys. I haven't had a good week so far. I have an earache and it is making me feel so yuck and grumpy. Going to get to the gym tomorrow hopefully but will see how I feel. Think I will go crawl into bed soon. Hopefully I will be back tomorrow and these ear drops will have kicked in :)
I think I might have what DS2 has now, at least I am feeling very under the weather. Got up at 5:30 to go to pump class but crawled back into bed feeling sorry for myself instead. Don't feel much like eating though, so I might have a good day foodwise. Ha. I did do a bit of a workout yesterday consisting of mostly squats, lunges and lower ab exercises, then a couple of kms on the bike. If I feel a bit better later I will try to get a walk in.
On a better note, DS2 seems much better today. The fast recovery after getting medicine is the only good thing about croup.
Had a BB meet yesterday and had parma, chips & salad :( but it was a once off for the week and last night i decided NO to more chicken and just had salad and some home made potato bake (half serve).
Today we are going for a walk in the sunshine and to the library.
Bought LOTS of fruit yesterday so will be snacking through the day.
Was naughty and had pancakes with apples, strawberries and a little bit of cream this morning  but it was all home made, no added sugar and i'm going to WORK IT OFF this morning.
Hoping to get 10min on the bike this arvo aswell.
Hope everyone is feeling better ASAP and all those who are sore from working so hard i hope the pain eases and your right to go again ASAP.
I weighed in today - the opportunity presented itself,a nd the way this house is going the scales could disappear any minute!
Anyway... 66kg! Yahoooo! This is easier than I thought! So far, anyway. My birthday this weekend (and someone's baby boy cherished!) so that will be a blowout, I'm sure. So much running around after guests though that maybe it will even out.
Popping my guilty head in, i'll be weighing in this morning, just mustering up the guts to face the reality which was my complete and utter blowout of last week! If only I could bribe the scales......haha!
Audax, good onya tonya! I hope to be there soon :)
Hiya to all the other Spring ladies!! Keep up the positivity and focus :)
xx
Zavara, I wouldn't feel too bad about the parma and chips. I use an eating plan that lets me have 6 serves of carbs, 4 of protein, 4 of dairy, 5 veges, 2 fruit, 2 fat and unlimited water. If I go over in the fruit and veges it's no biggy.
So I can eat anything just so long as I don't exceed my serves for each day. It works for me because if I blow out at lunch I can just eat a small dinner. Obviously it's best if the carbs are spread out through the day so you have energy for the whole day.
I find that it works best if I actually write it down rather than trying to work it out in my head.
Eating is a big part of the weight loss equation so I think need to focus on it more.
Audax, yay for your loss :)
Berrme, get well soon. If you find any great workouts on youtube please link us up :)
Cherished, well done on your great day. It's not easy to get everything balanced.
I have pump today. I took the dog for a walk this morning which isn't much of a cardio workout because we don't go far or fast but it's better than nothing. She usually has a swim but there is no way I would get into the lake and join her.
Hi everyone,
Sorry to those of you who are feeling sick, hope you get better soon! Berrme, my DD had Croup at the beginning of this Winter. It's awful isn't it, hope your little guy ist mostly over it now
I had a bad-ish weekend. Went to mums for a flaschengeist party, so was tasting most of the drinks and oils. Only tiny drops of each, but still! Made it to the gym yesterday so feeling good today. I keep meaning to book the creche so I can go during the day, instead of relying on DP finishing work and DS going to sleep easily in the evening. I still feel he is so little to leave though
I really need to work on my food. I think I need to sit down and make a meal plan for the week before I go shopping. I'm not too keen on salad so I tend to get stuck for healthy lunches. Must try harder!! Anyone have any yummy, healthy vegetarian recipes they would like to share? (I eat fish)
Good luck for everyone weighing in tomorrow :)
I often make a noodle soup for dinner on Sunday. I make enough for an army and then eat it for lunch for the week.
The base stock is a chicken one but you could easily make it a seafood or vegetable one instead and substitute tofu for the chicken.
Minstrone is another yummy, wholesome lunch soup.
I'm a lazy luncher so I'm a big fan of reheating for lunch.
Wow! Lots going on in here. DH and I have been a bit slack and will be starting on Monday- eeek!
Getting my exercise plan and menu plan in lace - to make it a bit easier on us.
Quick question girls - what is the best thigh exercise you have done. i tend to lose weight when i get motivated and do things right, but never off my thighs! Argh
