Just some info on bodytrim for those interested -
Ok heres how it works.
You're alowed 100grams of protein only for meals and 50grams of protein for snacks. You eat once every 1 to 3 hours as needed. You should never feel hungry.
So you have a protein only breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack. You are only alowed protein for the very first phase (totaling 3 days) no carbs nothing...
Then you go into weight loss mode.
You keep the concept of eating small meals, protein servings. You only add one slice of bread per day (must be wholemeal/grain) for breakfast only. At lunch and (I think) dinner you are alowed to add salad and veggies to your meal. Salad is unlimited. Some veggies are only alowed once every 3 days (eg carott!) you get a free day for every 6 days of the program you complete, then go onto a protein only day the day after. The day after your protein only day you go back to the 6 day program!
You continue eating like this until your happy with your weight.
Then you move onto maintenance.
You get two options. Hunter or gatherer Which gives you am extra free day. Or carb lovers. Which gives you an extra serve of carbs each day!
Hope this info helps!

Lynsdan - wow that's full on! Are you finding it ok to stick to? Fascinating to learn about, thanks! Do you know if you can do it while BF'ing? (I'm kinda thinking you couldn't?!?!). And how much weight per week to do you hope/expect to lose doing this kinda program?
Btw, I had to chuckle reading your stats. I am SO opposite to you... Funny huh! The first measurement was at the start of this, and now (5kg less) is the second number: Chest: 106 --> 101
Waist: 101 --> 96
Hips: 101 --> 96
Appletree, raupe, ZF, Onyx, Lilias - hope you're all doing well.
AFM was hoping to hit my halfway weight-loss point this Sat but don't think I'm gonna make it. Had a few moments today where I thought stuff it, I won't make it (so pig out on chocolate do it do it NOW) but then I thought no, think bigger picture. (Didn't help that I found out my car is at the repairers for nearly 3 weeks)... Did I feel like emotional eating much? So i've eaten pretty well today, walk, small exercise bike cycle... am hoping there's still time for a miracle loss haha. So saying I think I know my pattern - every other week is a bigger loss... and the inbetween weeks are virtually nothing. And yup, this week is an inbetweener. Shall attempt to stay on wagon for another day....
Oh I pulled out Wii Fit Plus tonight. It had been 490 days!!!!!!!!! (ok so most of that was being very immobile in a very poor PG)... but still! And I was only .3kg up from last time did it (physical age was -3 years tho woo hoo!) . Interestingly it told me I should be aiming for a BMI of 22 (I am aiming for a BMI of 23.23). My DH very kindly reckoned I'd be too skinny at 22 (which would mean trying to lose another 4kg :o. What are others aiming for BMI-wise? Or are you not doing it like that?

Thanks Lysndan, sounds really interesting, hope it goes well for you!
Not much to report here. Loving my new heart rate monitor that df got me for mothers day! The question I asked a few weeks back has been answered (50 cals ;) ) and tonight I moved up to level 2 of the 30 day shred work out DVDs- I burned 230 cals in just over 20 mins which I am pleased with, level one was only 175 cals. I wish the work outs were longer though. My next run is sat morning, will see how many cals I burn and if I can beat my time!
The count down is on for the start of the 12wbt, I have decided I want to aim for 15kgs... It's a lot right? But I am going to work my butt off foodwise as well as exercise this time. I think it's finally sinking in that it's more important to get the food part right, so I will learn as much as I can!

Cut and pasted from the diet and weightloss thread!
**I am doing terribly (she says as she sits there eating a chocolate brownie ) I was going to just sneakily not post here anymore for the shame, but I have to be real. I need to lose weight. I know it. I need to get fitter. I know that too. It's tough. Another thing I know. I need to get off my butt and do it. There's the bump in the road! DH isn't being much of a support. He's struggling too. He needs to lose weight too. It's just really tough right now. Neither of us is sleeping much between kids and nights shifts for him. But we have to keep on trying. I may or may not be posting here much. But I will keep up and I will keep on trying to get on and stay on that wagon. I will be trying hard not to let it leave me behind....

I kind of slacked off for a while. I had school holidays and then a nasty cold so I was in maintenance mode but now I'm back into it.
I ran 5km yesterday and today. Today I did it in 31 minutes. That 1 minute is really annoying me - if I had just pushed a bit harder it would have been 30 minutes.
I did some weights yesterday too and I'm feeling it today.
My new goals - to run 5km in under 30 minutes and to do more weights. I do pump a couple of times a week but I think I need to do weights on the days I don't do pump - maybe just pick a muscle group that isn't hurting each time and make it hurt.
My knee has been bugging me so I'm trying to take it easy on it. I got some orthotic insoles so I hope they do the trick.
Food wise - I know that I need to improve there too. I have been eating more carbs and cake with the cold weather so I need to keep an eye on that. It's junk food night tonight but I think that my 50 minutes of cardio today earnt it.
I seem to have plateaued at 59 kg. I hope I can drop a couple more or at least build some huge muscles to justify it.
-
I've been slack. Had bowen therapy yesterday and I ache all over, also my hips are out.
Been craving rice & pasta which isn't a good thing.
Am going to ease myself back into it next week since I'm on "no exercise" until Sunday.

weigh-in result for me... loss of .2kg but AF arrived this morning so I'll take that... and hoping for a bigger loss next week (and to reach that half-way point! 5.2kg down, 5.8kg to go....). Oh and 3cm off my measurements, 2cm off waist & 1cm of boobs yay.
More excitingly tho, my DH dropped 1.3kg this week! WOO HOO finally we've got it working for him. I'm so stoked.

Hi LAdies!!!! Back from Townsville. The crazy thing is... I didn't put on a GRAM. I actually LOST weight while eating moist, dense chocolate cake for lunch and pizza for dinner, having a few drinks and eating lollies and chocolates at kids parties. Oh, and throw in a couple of coffee club lunches. And not exercising a skerrick.
Not too sure what's going on- either the breastfeeding myth is proving true for me after 8 months, or my running has changed the way my body works. I'm going to stick with the latter so I keep with it.
So I'm back, and raring to go for a run. Unfortunately, I pinched a nerve in my neck yesterday, so that's been put on hold. My wonder massage therapist has worked me to a point I can at least go to the loo by myself (and stand, and sit) but I can't even lean over the cot to get bubba out. So running is most probably out for a few days ;)
Hope your'e all going well, and keeping warm....don't let the cold be an excuse not to exercise! Rug up and get outside!

Walked 50 mins tonight home - 4.5kms :) My feet hurt!

My ultra healthy lunch today?? 4 corn thins with low fat cheese, avocado and tomato and a stick of celery with low fat peanut butter and sultanas! Yummeeee!! It's better than I anticipated, lol!
-
Lilias - that's an impressive lunch! How are you feeling? How is it going now? Re cutting out the chips & chocolate, it makes a big difference huh. I guess they're just so energy rich that cutting them out makes a big difference.
Sopdet - that's a HUGE walk! wow.
LysnDan - how did your weigh-in go?
krystals - I want your diet  that's awesome. Sorry to hear about the pinched nerve - youch. Is it all better now?
AFM weigh in today, lost 1kg YAH YAH YIPPEE I'm so stoked. Puts me over the halfway mark. Plus lost 1cm off every measurement. Which means my total losses so far are 7cm off boobs, 8cm off waist & 6cm of hips. Wow. I feel a million bucks. I"m on the back straight now baybeeee! :leap::leap::leap:. I'm even thinking of trying a public (yes, with OTHER people) zumba class now I'm feeling a bit trimmer & fitter. I'll still be unco but i feel like I could do it now.
-
Weigh in on monday for me, and hopefully back to a couple of walks next week, also now DP's going back to work am thinking i might do a 15min ride on the exercise bike when the girls nap and then slowly increase it :)
How is everyone else, am catching up i promise

I'm still not going so great, very hit and miss. DH has been n=on nights again, and I find it so hard to be healthy then, I just look for convenient and comfort foods. Whilst I'm not eating total junk because we just don't have it in the house, I'm having the wrong sorts of things, like crackers and (homemade) popcorn, not terribly bad, but I should be having more fruit and veggies and protien, waayyy less carbs! More water, and exercising. But I'm just shattered after night shifts -for example, last night DS2 was feeding 2 hourly, DS1 woke 2 times I think with dreams, DD woke 2 times with dreams and to go to the loo. Up at 6am. So I think I got maybe 3-4hours of broken sleep. DH's night shifts are like that every time for me. DH does up to 6 arvo/night shifts at a time. Though this time, it's only 2 but DS2 has been sleeping terribly for a few weeks. I'm trying to work through it with my eating, but something has gotta give when I'm feeling so out of it and tired. So I am also trying to be nice to myself! When I feel ok and a bit mroe rested, I do great, when I'm a tired *itch from hell, then I don't do very well! My rested days should get more and more eventually (gosh I hope they do!) so eventually I should start to see better results! I haven't weighed myself, though I kind of feel pretty good in my clothes. That's gotta mean something, right?
Well done to you Belfie! You're going great guns!!

Awesome work Belfie!
Have decided that I will try to only think about the positives. So for me this week, I have spent many hours hauling and stacking wood, along with some shovelling and pushing of the wheelbarrow. Exercise with a bonus now having a nice wood pile

DP's back at work today
I am pretty sure i've put on just under a kg but with DP back at work and the fact that ALL the chocolate is gone from the house i am getting back into it.
I want to be SMOKING HOT for my reunion in june/july  so i am doing all my cleaning as quickly and aerobically as possible, will be walking with HotI a couple of times this week and plan on doing 15min on the bike when the girls go down for a nap.
I'm also going to start using the fire so that means lifting and moving wood from the shed to the house (not far but still it's something).
I have told the girls NO BISCUITS or LOLLIES this week at all and we WILL NOT be buying softdrink so we have plenty of fruit (normal but had been kind of a 2nd option of late) i bought some celery for snacks for me and will be filling up a jug of water and making sure i drink it every day.
I still feel really good about the weight i've lost, i know i have plenty to go but i WILL get down to my goal weight.
I am also thinking of trying out contours now that DP is back at work, he can come home, watch the kids for an hour or so maybe 3 nights a week or 1 day on the weekend etc.
How is everyone else going, whats news.. i am determined NOT to let this cold weather affect me, i can have HEALTHY comfort food and still have salads etc during this horrible rainy weather.
-
Woohoo, 500g down! Not sure how, but I'm losing weight! I'm not doing alot to make it happen, maybe just not eating so much junk and not eating after dinner...Plus DS2 si feeding 2 hourly at night adn 3hrly in the day, so maybe he's sucking it all out of me, lol! Though it never happened with my last two that I lost weight with BFing. I am able to see the loss in myself now and DH also said something the other day (yay!). My jeans literally fall off me now too, lol! I need to go shopping! I am aiming to start walking too, 45mins to an hour or so every second day at least. It's amazing how such small changes can make you so motivated! Baby steps.
How is everyone else going?
