SOPDET _ WTG on the early morning wake-up DVD!!! What a great way to start the morning. I LOVE your motivation. What kinda DVD is it?
I have a woo hoo to share.................... I'm one of the only regular Zumba ladies who doesn't have the fancy schmancy zumba pants. Partly because I'm too scared to order any because I didn't think they would make them to fit me. Anyway, we were talking the other day about the cool Zumba gear & then a lady comes to me & says, 'i have a pair of spare zumba pants that would fit you, i don't like the colour, would you like to try them & possibly buy them super cheap off me'. I kinda nervously laughed, this girl is TINY, no really, she is. So I say, 'well, thank, but I would NEVER fit into a size that you have ordered, but perhaps one day I will.......' & she is like 'oh no, you fit them no worries'. Anyway, I was getting uncomfortable because I still see myself as a really big person & I kind backed off a bit. So today, she has the pants & I stuff them in my bag mumbling about trying them & letting her know. Bugger me THEY FIT!!!!!!!!!!! Size MEDIUM! MEDIUM! Wow! I am sooooooooooooo happy that I nearly cried. So obviously I have bought them off her, plus been on the Aus website & ordered some more to collect when I'm home. I'm soooooooo rapt. What a massive boost!
Thanks for reading! xx

I got the 3 Michelle Bridges dvds for $38.
I stood on the scales at lunchtime today (after breakfast & about 1L of water) and OMG I've lost more weight. Now to keep going to see what Wednesday's weigh-in will show :)
Yah Jayne!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOoHoo MEDIUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :happydance:
-
WOOOOOOT! Sopdet! How awesome for you!!! See, that muscles gain is settling down & now you're seeing the big rewards!!! I'm so excited for you darl! xx
-
You girls are going gangbusters!!!!! Jayne!!! MEDIUM!!!! Go you!!! (Have I used enough !!!!!!s?)
Sopdet, great news on the kgs down! Sounds like your metabolism's kicked into weight loss mode again!
Sorry gonna be terrible with the personals tonight, have had 'one of those days' with DS. His first temperature, and clingy velcro baby doesn't work well for going for our walk!!! He is WAY more important than our walk! Too bad my dog doesn't think so LOL. She's been sitting next to my runners all night moping!! hehehe. Poor chook, went out and threw the frisbee for her for a while until it got dark. Not much for me, but at least she got some exercise! I did some more windows and the oven door today, so that has to burn some calories doesn't it?
On the upside, I haven't really had time to eat badly! I made some cupcakes last night as hubby has an endurance ride (MTB) this weekend. We were meant to be going down with him, but with sick bubba, we're staying home. I ate one cupcake as a tester and BEFORE icing! The rest I packed up straight away so hubby could pack them in the car! One of the good things about not going to the ride is that I won't be eating pizza etc. They provide food stalls for the riders which are all quick carb/protein meals like pizza, bacond and egg rolls... and DUTCH PANCAKES! Oh my goodness, I love dutch pancakes! I can't wait to get back to riding for that very reason! Okay, I'm waffling... I'd better go! Have a great night x
-
Krystals - so sorry to hear your LO is sick, but well done on resisting the cupcakes!
Sopdet - that's awesome, bring on Weds woo hoo!!
Jayne - that is brilliant about the medium pants! I am so happy for you!!
AFM cough getting better, and I got on the scales again this morning after that 1kg down yesterday and OMG it's now saying i'm 1.4kg down! I was in shock! So it's looking like I should have a loss on Sunday, i can't wait! Plus if I stay down I'm at a reward point (buy myself a scarf - I love scarves and it'll fit me whatever size I am!)which would be sooo nice while I'm on holiday, I can buy something nice! I keep looking at clothes in catalogues & daydreaming about the day I let myself buy some clothes again. Plus I managed another little walk today, hopefully will be back at normal walking soon
Hope everyone is having a great weekened & eating yummy healthy food.

I made it to the gym today but I had to go to assembly because DS1 was getting an award so I ran 30 minutes then bolted. Then I ate a triple fillet bondi burger for dinner. That's probably enough calories to feed an entire village for a day. And tomorrow I have to go to Sydney for the night :( Not happy. Really ****ed off at DH. Last year my ILs threw a birthday party for DS1. One of my friends gave him a book and he threw it on the floor and said he hated books. As you can imagine I was horrified and so was DH so we decided no more birthday parties with cake and presents. We took DS to the zoo for his birthday instead. Now the ILs have decided to throw him a party and instead of telling them that they can't DH has insisted that we go. If he thinks I'm eating the cake he's ****ing dreaming. In fact I'm thinking of just dumping the kids with him and going shopping and then to the gym or the pool and meeting him back at the hotel.
Sorry to dump. I'm angry at me for my dinner and angry at DH for not telling his parents that when my children spend time with them they act like monsters.
-
Onyx - don't say sorry, dumping is good, healthy. Better than eating chocolate ;)! That does sound so annoying :(.
Me again. DH is onboard. Like really truly "I'm-gonna-lose-weight, I'm-inspired-by-my-wife-babbling-on-about-her-weightloss" kinda conviction! He's even gonna track his food in CK (that's a miracle) and he realised HE IS AN EMOTIONAL EATER. That's right, don't faint. I CANNOT BELIEVE MY MAN SAID THAT. That's like... like.. my baby girl flying to the moon. He bought some chocolate (he's been not allowed choc for some months) and ate the entire block this arvo. 900calories worth (yes I fished it out of the bin & told him how many cals he'd eaten ;)). he's realised he's not this stoic man who can eat pie & stay skinny and never eats emotionally. I am SO proud of him and I think he really can do it. Add to the fact he's only just recovering from having vertigo for 4 months... but I think he's just so keen to feel better, get fitter... be the man he wants to be (think Old Spice ). Plus his weight has just pushed into the obese BMI category for the first time ever, I think that's an eye opener (even tho he's a big unit at 6'4" he still can't get away with that). PLUS he has a chronic bad back & really needs to not be carrying extra weight. So anyway, that's my excitement. I know it will be easier if we're both doing it. He's coming up with good rewards for himself too (omg worth SO much more than I was gonna spend on myself... remind me to double the monetary value of ALL my rewards ). Can't put a price on health right? ;). Anywya so that's my little woo hoo for the night. OH and we're moving weigh-in to Sat. Have fingers crossed to get my reward weight tomorrow! Just think, when we're done we might actually look like our avvis!

Hi guys,
Reading along and am really proud of you all, you are doing such a fantastic job!
Onyx- For your burger, i looked it up and it was roughly 700 cals, not too bad really, could have been as bad as me and my pizza for dinner! You could burn that off in less than an hours walk if it was a bit hilly, any chance you could add in an extra walk this week so you can forget you ever ate it? As for the birthday party, i would be pretty unimpressed! Can you convince your DH to put his foot and say we will only come if you don't do presents? Probably a bit late now though.
Belfie- that is fantastic that your DH is in on the weightless! My DF is 6"6' and i think he thinks he can eat what he wants and it won't all catch up with him, but i know the truth! One day he won't be skin and bones... Wow about the 1.4kgs! That is a brilliant loss! Well done!
Krystals- hope your little one is feeling better soon, its no good having a sick baby! Great work on the cupcakes :)
Go Sopdet- GO!! That is awesome! I hope it keeps coming off for you :)
Jayne- Love that you can fit into the skinny ladies clothes! That is brilliant! I am guessing thats a medium in Chinese clothes, as i am betting you are way to small for an aus medium! I hope you can make your new weighloss target for your trip back.
AFM- eating terribly and not exercising a lot here... I didn't make it to the gym today, had a sleep in instead! Then i had pizza for dinner with garlic bread. I need to learn some more discipline, i know i can do this, but i keep giving myself permission to eat things when i really shouldn't be. I think i should start tracking my food in myfitnesspal again.
-
Just quickly.... 1.6kg lost since Sunday!!! OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!!! I skipped a whole kilogram, I can't believe it! And 5cm off my measurements too :D
:leap::leap::leap:
3.1kg lost, 7.9kg to go.
-
Wow belfie!!!! That is just brilliant! Well done, you deserve it! You are nearly half way there now! Bet you are looking hot! 5cm off measurements is amazing!
I needed that inspiration ;)
-
Baked today. Sticky hot cross buns :wall: stupid of me really.
-
mmmmm, yum Astrid!!! I bet they were delicious and appreciated by all though!
We had DD's bday party today, wow it was crazy! Saw so many people, and just about everyone asked how much weight i had lost because i was looking hot ;) LOL, no, they didn't say i looked hot, but i took that as their meaning! Hahaha, nice way to stroke my own ego... I was wearing new pants that i bought the other day and had to ask for a smaller size in, and even then i probably should have gone another size down as they are still a little loose around the waist,i was feeling pretty good!
I just gave DF my dinner's wish list of all things that are under 400 cals, so fingers crossed i can get back on track with food this week, i am going to log my calories on my fitness pal. I only managed one exercise day this week, which i am a bit bummed about! I needed some more motivation so i decided to read back over our old threads, trip back down memory lane ;)
Hope you all had a great weekend!
-
wow quiet in here.
appletree - that's awesome about everyone complimenting you! Such a nice feeling! GL with the motivation, hope it's all helped.
Astrid - how are you doing?
Onyx, Sopdet, Krystals, ZF and everyone else I've missed, how are you going?
Well AFM I'm away in Tassie for a week with my kids & extended family, so hopefully can continue my good eating. Still not doing any real exercise cos I"m now on the THIRD batch of antibiotics plus a preventer/inhaler for my cough (not that i'm asthmatic and nor have I ever been!). Am more than a bit over constantly coughing & being puffed, so fingers crossed it finally improves. Dr nicely told me he would have done a chest xray & prednisolone if I wasn't BF'ing. Thanks for making me worry lol. Hopefully i'll get a bit of rest in Tas & get rid of the pesky thing! I'll miss a weigh in, so am hoping to make the Easter weigh-in really good.
Does anyone else have a plan/strategy for how to get through Easter without gaining? I'm soooo keen not to, I know how annoyed I'd feel if I backslid 1-2 kg! Am planning to have just teensy bits of choc each day to stop myself from splurging.
-
Sorry ladies been busy again, no walking as DD1 is sick, really should get on the bike though.
I put on weight was 91. ??? but you know what i'm really not phased, my clothes fit and i'm still getting comments about how much weight i've lost and there is NO WAY i am putting on the whole 12kg ever again.
Staying at MIL's tonight before my dentist appt tomorrow so no doubt some crappy food choices coming my way but what the hell :p
appletree - well done on being told how good your looking, it really is a confidence boost and your doing such a fabulous job.
Oh oh girls i am getting rainbowbright to make me a new Av and i think you girls will LOVE it, hopefully my 4mths have passed soon so i can get her to uplaod it for me :)
How is everyone else going?
Belfie - over easter were going away, it's a lot of cooking on the fire, meat and salad so not great for my weight loss but i am planning on taking the girls for a walk every morning, it's not a big property where we stay but if we walk along the river and back, i might even take them on the dirt path up to the shops and to the veg stalls and get some nice fresh veggies to make camp pumpkin soup or something :)
Of course i WILL eat choc and prob way too much but i will allow myself 3kg i think and not stress myself aslong as i stay UNDER that.
-
Belfie - thanks for checking in :D Hope you are having a great time in Tassie, we are originally from there.
Appletree - woo hoo on your new pants being loose. Must be a great feeling
ZF - have fun with the camping. Something we will try to do next year. What is wrong with meat and salad? Would have thought that would have been great for weight loss (well it is for me anyway).
Congrats to those who have been losing and getting on with exercise! Keep up the great work.
Trying to keep active here, been doing lots of housework and keeping on the move. May attempt a weigh in later today. As for Easter, well we should be busy, have not bought too many eggs for the girls and only Lindt bunnies for me and DH.
Hoping that I have a new job after Easter, last time I worked I lost weight. I found it really easy to keep my day food under control as I packed it all in the morning, dinners will be a bit harder, but I am working on portion control there.
Sleep deprivation is the biggest de motivator around here. Insomnia combined with a almost 3yo who does not sleep is just a killer. I sooooo need a nap.
-
Hi guys! :hello:
Sorry, no personals again... Only just got my computer back from the repairer; I had no Internet access for almost a week! :o I have severe BB withdrawal syndromes!
On the upside, I weighed in on Monday and I lost 2kg!!! :jawdrop:! Crazy, right? So, I've been good! :D Thanks for the kick in the butt, I really needed it!! I'm down to 87.5 now and super happy! :happydance:
-
Easter.... no plan for staying healthy. I don't celebrate Easter so it's just like the confectionary aisle has grown tentacles. My boys have heard about Easter bunny at school. Supposedly he lays eggs at Easter lol. I've informed them that rabbit stew is the closest they will get to the Easter Bunny in our house. I am a bit of a sucker for hot cross buns but I'm doing well at avoiding fruit bread lately so I'm just going to keep avoiding it.
Belfie, I hope you enjoy Tasmania. I've never been but I always have intentions of doing so. Yay that your DH is on board with a healthier lifestyle. It's much easier when you're both on the same page with diet and exercise. W00T for your loss too!!
Astrid, fingers crossed the new job comes in for you. I think that if you need a nap you should take one. health isn't just exercising a lot and eating right it's also taking care of our need for sleep and relaxation. I think that a healthy body and a healthy mind are related. DS has to do a health and nutrition related talk for school each week and he did one about sleep a couple of weeks ago and why it is important.
ZF, meat and salad sounds healthy to me. Especially if it is lean meat. Potato salad probably isn't very slimming but it's so yummy that it's worth it every now and then. Walikng by the river sounds like a lovely way to get some exercise while you camp.
Appletree, yay for looking hot in your new pants That's fantastic motivation.
Raupe, Good to have you back. 2 kg's!! Awesome :D
I have sad news :( My boobs aren't filling my cups as well as they used to. I knew that losing weight would mean losing some boob but I'm still a little sad about it. Especially since I have some lovely bras that are about to be too big in the cup. I'm also noticing that some of my jeans are a bit loser in the waist. Especially my favourite newest pair
I saw the couch 2 5kms thread so I decided that for a change instead of trying for a time goal on the treadmill I would try to knock over 5 km. It took me about 35 minutes so now I need to try to bring that time down a bit. Then I walked for 20 minutes on one of the programs with lots of 'hills' in it. Now my knee is angry with me. I don't think I'll do the hills again or if I do I will walk a lot slower.
The new Pump has killed my shoulders. I think I'm doing the chest wrong because it seems to get me in my shoulders not my chest. I think that's why push-ups are better. It's hard to do them wrong. I'm looking forward to the weekend so I can give my poor sore body a break.
