How long is everyone planning on staying on the diet for?
Currently I am planning to stay on it til I get to my goal (10 and a bit kilos to go).
I imagine the weightloss will slow down though, I know I lost a lot in the first 4 weeks, and I don't expect it to stay at that rate. At this stage I am also planing to do the maintenance program for a while.
I've lost the same amount of weight before, and kept it off for about 6-12 months til I got pregnant with Milo, but TBH I have never been able to eat a healthy diet, exercise and not put on weight.
So depending how I go once I get to maintenance, if I am finding it hard I might give WW a try.
Well i signed up this arvo! Got my starter pack and i'm going to start from tomorrow.
well done Tegan good luck :)
Rayray, no they havent recommended to take a supplement? I dont think the "success" diet thru amcal chemist is as thorough as the T.F diet  but it works none the less.....
How mean am I to myself? I bought 2 blocks of choc today (on special) and have put them away in cupboard so to test myself to keep away from them!! DF is already into his (hehe) and I have resisted and know that if i crumble and give in, then ketosis will have to re-start itself and its not worth it! Simply not worth it! Once i lose 3 kgs i will give myself a lil choc but until then i dont deserve to have one :) i feel in control.... PLUS i have our wedding to motivate me!!! DF is at his ideal weight now (he lost weight recently on shakes)...
Renstar, thats not mean, thats motivation!
I am seriously considering buying a block on the Coles brand belgian chocolate to put away, cos my luck they will delete it when I've lost weight and can eat better again (not that I'd eat the whole thing!) I am pretty good with chocolate, I used to be vegan so am used to haveing it around but not eating any.
Let us know how you go on your first day Tegan.
Well, not "official" weigh in for me this week, as I am going to a wedding in SA on the weekend, and we're leaving tomorrow (Friday is my weigh in day) I'm pretty sure I've lost something but after last week I am hunting for new bathroom scales on ebay. So I will weigh in "officially" either next Friday or Saturday.
Do you have to have the fibre in the shakes? I was thinking of just getting the fibre in a tablet form coz omg did it make me sick! Is this suppose to happen? I had my first shake this morning and i could only drink half because it made me really really full and i just felt so nauseous and bloated after it. I hope its not going to be like this the whole time...
Tegan, I don't have fibre in my shakes (well I have had before but I used benefiber not simply fibre. benefibre dissolves totally and doesn't thicken at all.)
anyway you don't have to have it at all if you don't need to, but I need to have it so I usually dissolve it in my water and take it that way.
How is everyone going?
I weighed in today for the first time in a fortnight, and had lost 2.7kg so I pretty rapt since I've had a hens night and a weekend away at a wedding in that time.
So now I have less than 10 kilos to go! yay!
I've had to stop because i've been really sick and the only thing i can eat and keep down is toast, which your not suppose to have. So i'll have to start again when i'm better.
Well done on the loss rayray!
Aw thats not good that you've been unwell Tegan. I think there are a lot of things going around lately.
Hope you feel better soon!
mmm
looks like its just me again.
oh well. I went to a new centre to weigh in on the weekend, in Geelong, and I am so impressed!
The consultants there are so nice, and knowledgable, its so much better than the TW chemist I had been going to.
Plus I lost 2.1kg for the fortnight! Only 7 more left to go, hooray, I will look like my av again in no time!
Well done Rach, so wonderful to see you so close to goal :) Well done! I know you'll do it ;)
Ok so i bit the bullet & signed up today:D Took me ages to get off my butt & do it Coz i just wasnt prepared to give up all my fav foods hehe.
Anyway i'll be popping in here every now & then to see how everyone else is doing.
Good luck to u all!! Im gonna go have a flick through the book now:D
Hi everyone,
I've just started my fourth week, and so far have lost 5kg. I find it really easy when I am at work during the week, but struggle more on the weekends - I guess 'cause I am not making my salad for lunch or sorting out my fruit first thing in the morning, and there is more chance of going out for tea. Nice to find this thread when i wasn't expecting it. :)
Sara
hi Sara,
I find the weekends harder to drink all the water, but food wise its not too bad as I am usually too busy to think about eating, so I end up eating more than I would if I wasnt on TF.
Good luck with your weightloss!
Ohhh i've been very baaaad! :( I got over my sicknesses finally but haven't been able to get the motivation to start TF again. Help me get some motivation please girls?
Tegan - accoring to my home scales this morning I've lost just over 19 kilos since July 14!!
Hows that for motivation?!
My official weigh in is not til Saturday monring, and my home scales are known to be "dodgy" he he but I think I am doing pretty well!
OMG Ray, that is fantastic!!
I think the thing that puts me off the most is drinking all the time. I just find it really hard to finish off the shakes and to drink all the water. Maybe coming into summer the water will be better to handle.
Wow Ray - that is fantastic for you! WTG!
Tegan - I find that if I have a water bottle (I use a 750ml one), than everytime I see it (at home) I have a drink then walk away, the bottle seems to be gone, without you feeling like you have to force so much down. At work I do the same thing - just have it beside me at my desk and drink now and again and it is gone. If I haven't had my water and I know I have to drink the whole thing, I just don't do it, or else it makes me feel sick. As you said with the warmer weather it should get easier, though.
Sara
Sara, I do the same thing with my pump 750ml bottle (Which I've just realised is at hom, and I'm at work! Looks like I'll need to buy another one)
I cant beleive ive found this forum ive doing TF for about 4 weeks have lost 4kgs i have to admit though i have lost the urge to continue. Over the last 2 weeks we had alot of sick kids so the coffee has been onging just to stay awake, the cost is a huge factor we are on one income with four kids youngest is 6months i not really motovated at the moment but DH says to keep going and having read rayray sucess i think ill give it another go
It is a bit costly, I agree, and we're on 2 incomes with only one child.
I have had a really terrible week, but am back on track now, I've only got 4 (I hope its still only 4) kilos left to go!
Hi,
Last week I went out and bought a box of the fatblaster shakes and I couldn't even get through anymore that 3sips I also tried optislim or optifast or whatever its called a few years ago and I couldn't drink that either. I really want to lose some weight but I don't want to go waste money on tony ferguson if it is the same.
My mum has tried tony ferguson and sh says it tastes good not the same as optifast which she also tried but I just wanted to get a few more opinions...does it actually taste ok?
i have found the majority of the shakes taste fine. I don't like the mango, wildberry, pina colada or english toffee, but I like all of the others.
Out of the 4 soups, I only like the asian curry.
I am back on the wagon, have fully weaned now for almost 3 weeks... so I am looking forward to shedding the kilos, self esteem isnt too flash at the moment. So, bring it on... about to have my first choc shake for breakfast... soooo hope I don't go through what I did last time on my first day :(
i have been on the TF diet for 3 weeks now and up to 6 kilos lost so far:dance:.. i have made it to my first mini goal of 5kg and working on the next 5:pray:!! last week was a bad week with maddy 1st birthday so we will see this week if the little splurge was ok!!!:crossfingers:fingers crossed:crossfingers:
hey girls,
i was just wondering i have a cupboard full of tony ferguson shakes. They are really yummy. i loved doing the program and lost weight easily. My fs dosent want me on a vlcd at the moment because he believes i need more kj's than that can supply me with. As i joined the program as a member i can resume again at any time,so i don't see the need to keep them all here. if anyone is interested ,please let me know. Mostly shakes;maybe a couple of soups, jellies, shaker, chromium and simply fibre.
Pauline
if you stillhave them.. i can take them off ya hands??
i too am interested:) my little bub is nearly 4 months old. i put on 35 kgs by the end of my pregnancy. i have 15 to go before im back to prepregnancy weight.. ive been on a diet of only fruit salad and veges... but i cheat nearly every day!! ive lost 7 kgs in 2.5 weeks :) my email is tabrezia@hotmail.com
well, I am officially going back on to TF this saturday *wont be able to get the shakes before then) I know I am going to have all the fibre related issues again, I'm going to have to take the maximum amount of fibre I can and have pears for my fruit.
Had a bit of a downhill slide since I went off, so about 10kg to go now, the plan is to stick it out for a month, see how I am doing than maybe switch over to WW after that.
good luck rayray im still on TF.. but i hate there simply fibre as you can taste it in the shakes!! YUK!!! i like the ones you cant taste!!
so far 8kgs!!
Hi Girls,
I'm not on TF but a program similar, I had lost 35 kilos but due to some serious christmas cheer and congratulatory eatings for doing so well I have put alot on so back on the bandwagon again.
Today is my first day 100% lol it is only 2pm so I am determained to get thru these first few days without deviating. Water is easier to drink with this warm weather thou
Bec
Oh I hate the simply fibre too. I was using benefiber last time, which disolves completely but still had some dramas. I will try it again, might ask my GP whether I can go past the maximum does if I have extra water.
has anyone seen bought the cookbook? I got it yesterday, it looks good. some of the recipes are on the wesite but others aren't, or have been changed. Im making 2 big shepherds pies to freeze on the weekend. yum!
i saw that book and was wondering about it!! whats the $$ on it!!
i love a good shepherds pie!! what is different in the recipe thats is from the normal one??? wonder what they have cut out!!
I will have a look.
Its 24.95
I dont know if the shepherds pie recipe is different, but the vegie sausage casserole recipe definitely is.
I like the book format cos I find it hard to visualise the food, and the photos are significantly better than the online ones.
i brought the choclate the sell.. its called mini blues.. it has no added sugar and low carb, low gi chocolate!!
its quite nice!!! gives you the chocolate fix when you need it! yummy!!
yep I have tried that too its nice. there are a few different chocolates that are OK on TF in differring quantities. My issue is stopping at the allowed amount so I generally dont get it!
thats my problem too!! so hard to stop at half the bar! hehe
Hi I have just started this programme today!!!!
