ok, i am not the most efficient mother, yes i let the cleaning pile up a little, but am i realy that bad??

i done the dishes today, and scrubbed the benches, ds2 who is 3 came into the kitchen, looked at the bench next to the sink and asked me (quiet dumfounded) "were all that stuff gone mum?" to witch i replied "ive done all the dishes so they are all clean and put away" i jokingly asked df if im that bad that our son dosent understand what happens when theres no dirty dishes out, to wich they both replyed "YEP" thanks for the back up babe!

I find that if I'm looking for reassurance on the domestic front my partner is definitely not the person to go to.
Beth told dp that I never do housework and spend all day watching tv and on the puter. Turns out her version of doing housework involves fluffing the cushions on the couch. If I haven't done that I haven't cleaned, apparently.

Must go out and buy some cushions, if that's all I need to have the housework done.

Don't you love the ideas kids get into their heads about how certain things are done and when.

Gosh id hate to think what Miss K would think of our house *blushes* sometimes i wont do the dishes until everything is used. Same goes for washing. I'm about to clean my shower for the first time in about 4 months.

There isn't one room in my house right now that is tidy. But it would take me 15mins to clean it so im not too worried. My house is never disgusting though.

And hey if your DP doesnt like it why doesnt HE do the housework, i bet if you turned it around he wouldnt be so judgemental

Sarah, my son is the same, he has "places" for everything and will put them there. Like, for example. the remote control "belongs" to daddy and lives on the side of Daddy's bed. Not on the base of the teev where it really does belong!

Of course, if your DF thinks the dishes don't get done enough, then that can be his chore
Oh and if you use plastic/tupperware kinda stuff, then you can get your DS2 to wash up too! Mine loves to help!!!! I wash and put everything into the cool water for rinsing and that's his job!

I cleaned the kitchen on Wednesday & got rid of all DF's stuff off the bench & MIL dropped round that afternoon & said "it must have taken you all day to clean that". I don't know if I should be offended or not. Is it a good thing because it looks spotless & like I've put in a huge effort or is it a bad thing because maybe it normally looks really bad?
But if I clean the whole house she asks if we're having visitors

im about to get started on a big clean up (and hopefully chuck out) we will see what questions come from this one!!
