I too have excema. I use Hurricane - the yellow one. When I tried the apple one, it made me itchy (or it was just good timing and I was doing something else wrong!).
I think bi-carb would be worth a try too, there couldn't be much in there that would cause excema to flare up.
Mine is very bad atm - I'm blaming the dust and dry weather.
We use OMO Sensitive. We also do a extra rinse cycle to get out as much powder as possible. These two things together seem to help ds's skin. He used to have really bad eczema but it has improved as he got older but he still gets it on his back. OMO Sensitive isn't cheap but I have found cheap washing powders terrible on his skin.
I can only use Radiant or Omo & Omo Sensitive but half the amount it says on the packet. Any other washing powder makes me itch. I also do an extra rinse just to make sure all the powder is gone.
My DS2 comes out in a rash with heavily perfumed washing powder so I switched over to Purity Sensitive laundry liquid and we haven't had a problem since
Satya, no I've never even heard of Desitin but will give it a try thanks!
Macca79, yeah I am using part Purity part bi-carb and using vinegar to neutralise and soften.
Hope it helps their skin!! Have noticed in the last few days ezcema is getting bad on poor DS's eyelids. He also gets it behind his ears, behind his knees in the creases and on his thumb knuckles as well as a patch on his face My poor baby!
