What Domestic duties have you achieved today? #3

I've done a bit today, trying to catch up as I got NOTHING done last week due to becoming WYD pilgrims at the last minute..... & I mean at the very last minute, decided at 10:30am Tues & left at 11:30am Tues LOL so my house work didnt get touched :(

Today I have:

* vacuumed
* mopped all floors including bathrooms (I hate this job!)
* cleaned bathrooms (4 of them!)
* Packed dishwasher & put that on, yet to empty it!
* Took all rubbish & recycling out
* 2 loads of washing (yet to fold/iron)
* went through my shoes & threw out the ones I dont wear anymore... has been driving me nuts for ages!

I have so much more to do but Braxton Hicks are getting the better of me, it's so frustrating having to stop all the time!

Now about to have a nice hot shower while DD has her bath before DH comes home & we go to the IL's for dinner tonight!! (thank goodness I dont have to cook!)

Today I:

Put the washing up away and
Put the load in the dryer away before going to work and...
Came home from work and mowed the back lawn! (I'm so proud of myself - DH will be pleased because he hasn't got to do it all on Wednesday!)

• Changed ALL the sheets and all the laundry that that involves
• Made a birthday cake for my little Charlie boy
• Hoovered the whole house and nopped all teh floors
• Did all the kids ironing
• Washed the front windows

cleared the spare room so that my houseguest can move in this week (this room had most of the stuff dumped in it with my move a week or so ago)

cleaned the kitchen

sorted the clothes in my wardrobe

half organised the loungeroom

5 loads of washing and folded and put away
washed the dishes
cleaned the bathroom and toilet
put the rubbish out
vaccumed the loungeroom
did the groceries
made dhs lunch for tomorrow
cooked dinner(yet to wash those dishes)

Vacuumed
Mopped
3 loads of washing done and on the line
2 loads folded and put away
Dusted whole house
Tidied up our bedroom and Izzy's bedroom
Tidied up the lounge room
Made mini quiches
Did the dishes
Rocked an unsettled bub to sleep for 30 mins

I think all that deserves a bath and early night!!!!!

Today so far I have...

Done 2 loads of washing & folded
Washed dishes & bottles
Tidied Oscar's room & cleaned out his cupboards
Tidied our bedroom
Tidied the lounge
Dusted the house
Tidied the kitchen

I hadn't done anything for a few days so the house was a bomb site but it is looking much neater and cleaner now!

LOL well today all I did was clean DD's old pram ready for the new baby & turned the dishwasher on, oh & tidied up a little bit.

But I had a busy day with hospital appt etc so didnt have any down time either :( about to relax now for half hour :)

ALRIGHT LADIES!!! I am going to have a huge day... (ERGGHH - push it!! You can do it!!!)

UPSTAIRS
Kitchen - unload dishwasher + load, wipe benches, fridge. 20 mins
I am going to do a 5 mins timer blitz on every room upstairs (x 6 rooms = 30 mins)
Put away 3 weeks worth of folded clothes on the brekky bar 20 mins
Vaccuum (big one - dust bunnies and all) + Mop 30 mins
= 2 hours ish...

DOWNSTAIRS
Kids toy room 10 mins
Rumpus room 10 mins
10 mins office tidy
Action station clear out (see Decluttering Demons if this is ???) 10 mins
1 x load of washing 10 mins
2 x take in washing 10 mins
Hose patio 10 mins
Hose dog poo in 5 mins
Fertilizer veg patch 10 mins
= 1/12 hours.

So if I start now, I should be finished by 11.30. Hopefully.

AND!! Watch ANTM 1-2pm.
Appointment at 2pm.

And the usual kid stuff - referee'ing, feeding, watering...

WISH ME LUCK!! I ususally write this list in my diary, but... I'm not too hard on myself. Rather sit on here all day!! (It's research, right??????)

Today i did absolutely nothing :redface: I'm just sooooo tired! Theres heaps I have to do before Monday (being induced on Mon) I just couldn't find any energy today, I hope tomorrow is better!

Okay. Today I did the following:

• Vacuumed the whole house (except for the Boy's room :rolleyes: You can't even set foot in the door), and to make things even better, Steph fell asleep in her high chair with the vac turned on! Got rid of 90% of the dust bunnies in the house (I think some were turning feral). Even did under the couch and its cushions!
• Mopped the wooden floor and the laundry/bathroom, ensuite, and loo.
• Cleared (sorted into sh*t boxes- recycling/rubbish, stuff for the Man to sort out, and urgent-bills/fines, filing, etc) just over half of the kitchen bench.
• Got some chicken wings out of the freezer (they should be defrosted by tomorrow to go in the oven, our fridge is very cold).
• Have dinner figured out for tonight (homemade fish and chips). (Just put the chips on, probably about 20 minutes too late, cos I was typing here!)
• Tidied our bedroom (okay, I ended up stuffing a few things in our wardrobe, but I didn't do this anywhere else!), including making the bed super tidily (that never happens).
• Tidied Steph's room.
• Tidied the lounge.
• Tidied the laundry/bathroom.
• Had a shower and washed my hair (Sometimes I find it difficult to even have a shower! :redface:).
• Got the front lawn mowed (the only thing that I can think of that the Man says is definitely not a woman's job. Hey, that's fine with me!).
• Washed the few dishes that were on the sink.

AND survived rental inspection, that was between 3 and 5pm, instead of 5 and 6pm (that's what I thought the letter said, until I found it about 11.30 today as I cleaned up the kitchen bench! :doh:)

SO, now I have a clean AND tidy house, which I had to do for the inspection, but more wanted to have happen for my birthday, which is this Saturday. Not that anything will probably happen here (or anywhere else, Man working until at least 3.30pm :()

YYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :clap::dance:

Today's tasks completed

* done the washing up
* put a load of blacks on & put the clothes currently on the clothes horse away
* changed the bed
* vacuumed all the floors (incl bathroom & kitchen)
* mopped floors (with towel wrapped around broom - forgot to buy a mop)
* wiped down all the benches in the kitchen
* cleaned the shower, toilet & sink

CONGRATS NETIX for getting it all done for your rental inspection. What annoys me, is that you work work work so hard, then they wander about for like, 2 mins, and say, ok, seeya! No pats on the back... It's like, LADY! I"VE GOT A BABY AND I DONT CLEAN!!

Punkin - LOL about the broom impersonating a mop. I think I have pulled that one of the closet pre-mop days too. Or, get a wet towel and do the 'shuffle shuffle slide'.

I WAS supposed to have a HUGE DAY cleaning but I'm going shopping instead!!

yeh well in pre-vacuum cleaner days - a straw broom worked wonders!!!!!!!!!!!! But now I only have carpet in 2 rooms in this place & a vacuum cleaner - which means EVERY room gets done with it

ive got a load of wahsing on, ive cleaned the bath,sink and shower. next will be lounge room.

ive also made the beds

Today so far I have:

* Made the bed & tidied bedroom
* Washed dishes & tidied half the kitchen
* Put a load of washing on & folded one
* Hung out a load of washing (in this gorgeous weather!)
* Swished & swiped the ensuite & main bathroom

Heaps more to be done but will be back later and update ;)

Ps. I have opened the house up to let some fresh air in!! I am loving having the windows & doors open!

I haven't eve brushed my teeth - and it's midday! :redface: (and i'm on BB?!)

But I have:
Done 2 loads of washing and hung them out,
Feed and 'loved' the dog,
Made the bed,
FOlded the washing from yesterday,
Updated the finance/bills/bank,
Got dinner prepared for tonight,
Taken the rubbish out.

Now maybe i should turn the puter off, brush my teeth and do my hair. At least i got dressed :redface:
