Well done you!
How's the weather down there now?
wild and wooly, have closed Paige's door so sheppy doesn't get any ideas lazy Buggar
am sitting around in my Jim-Jams and Uggies and am thinking seriously about making a cuppa (not sure about caffine before bed though)
Got the heater pumping in Paige's room and I have added a extra blankie in preperation for a snuggled sleep think I am all set.
How are you feeling today?, you certainly have been haveing a rough time of it!! I did my 'naana in my lunch break today as you can see from my earlier post oooohhh I was so mad because I have had similar comments made to me over the time I remember going to DH's doctor with him, for his appointment and DH's doctor looked at me and said "if you want to make the babies you need to loose the weight" when DH was in the exam room I was speechless.
He also advised my DH that we should adopt a baby and totally poo-hooed the idea of DC
Mad isn't it - it's still 27 degrees up here!
Had a fairly crappy day for the first half of the day - my year 7s were atrocious - but it got better with the reading program - we finally got to go to the Primary school and spend some time with the students there.
Spent a lot of time analysing what's going on in my life for the first part of the day(as you can probably tell by the amount of blogging/posting I've been doing).
Have a bad headache at the moment, probably due to overthinking and tiredness.
Funny thing is the GP is very good in terms of physical stuff. He was the only one that listened to me about my gallbladder and tonsils. However he also is defined by his beliefs (aren't we all).
One thing I like about him too is that he is very thorough and will make his own opinions.
I suppose we just have to learn to work with each other.
As for my principal - well, he has a tendancy to say whatever is in his mind without thinking about the emotional consequences.
They are correct in that I do have issues with weight - I just think that they are seeing it the wrong way around.
Anyway, this is my first chocolate free day in a while (probably also adding to the headache).
Actually I think I will head to bed now - so glad to hear from you and I hope the storms don't get too bad. Talk soon!
night honey, hope your headache vanishes, I think I might follow suite, the thought of that extra blanket on my bed is awfully appealing (think sheppy thinks so he's already taken over DH's side of the bed)
Talk to you soon, take care of yourself'
Oh and Tarkine...you can come and give me a talkin' to any day of the week hon ;)(I wouldn't recomend the weather here at the moment though)
night all
Morning Blizz, Morning Tarkine!
Just writing to let you know that I got the testing done last night and I'm feeling much better this morning. I'll write in more detail later in the day.
Sending good wishes to you both!
Hi to anyone else out there.
hey girls
Gargy - gotta love everyone thinking they know what everyone else is going thru hey!
Blizz - good thinking on shutting paige's door, gotta love dog poo, not!
Hi all, one more night as a single woman, Dh has stayed an extra night to share a barrel with the boys so I get one more night of stretching out where I want too (if I can convince sheppy to sleep on his bed tonight that is)
Paige is already in bed after a big week of visits to the toddler room....sob!...my baby is growing up, she is sooooo cactus tonight that it's just not funny!!
she waved good night to the television tonight (me thinks they are developing an unhealthy relationship!!!!)
have had a stressfull day of running the center today as my boss was away I know I should love the challenge but I just worry about it way too much(try to keep everyone happy even when it just isn't possible).
It all went well though think I better do a little bit of house work before DH catches me in a complete state of feral, I'll pop back in later after I finish sending out a search party for dirty socks and undies, probably should clean the kitchen and stack the dish washer as well, back in a bit.
I agree with you alioops.. nothing worse than everyone thinking they know what your going through... i remember some old guy in the bed next to DH when he was having a hip replacement giving DH the talk about not being scared of the operation - ha! little did he know that by that stage DH had had about 30 major surgeries.. but its all part of life putting up with people who think they know everything about everything and in reality know nothing about everything!!
Blizz.. good luck getting space in the bed! hope you manage to round up the rouge socks and undies!
Hi Tarkine, how goes all with you?
DH called to say he'll be home around 10:00am in the morning so I guess he'll catch me in feral mode as I have had a really bad case of the I-cant-be-bothereds tonight and have got nothing done I will do the kitchen shortly but blow it!!! I am going to leave everything else.
think I'm going to head to bed about half ten and watch NCIS
Slightly unimpressed with DH at the moment. He was supposed to ring up to organise delivery of his desk. Of course he didn't and left his phone switched off. So a very irate customer service person has organised delivery for between 6AM and 8AM tomorrow!! GRRRR.
I tell you what if it's not there by then I will have a few words to say to the factory when it is delivered!
Other than that, a pretty good day. Kids were really enthused about creating their picture books. And the Head Teacher Admin was rather nice to me and gave me some time off. So I got some work done instead.
Just catching up on some TV from the week - currently watching Jason Byrne riverdancing!
Same as you Blizz - thinking I have to clean up before these people come tomorrow but also having a case of the I can't be bothered!
Tarkine - yeah they do get a bit annoying.
Hi Ali!
Hey everyone else!
ooohhhh does DH realise that is major need to make it up behaviour messing with Saturday morning sleep in is definately not good practice let me see......a couple of romantic dinners out to expensive resteraunts with your choice of wine ....hhmmmn a nice expensive red...I can reccomend ninth island pinot think it's about $30 dollars a bottle (probably more over there???) or actually Janz vintage champaigne....oooohhh yummy...even better....that's our anniversary drink (both Tassie drops)
DH has got some major schmoozing to do me thinks??????
good to hear you had a good day
how did your tests go?
wow, just checked out my spelling, not good, just ignore as I'm not going to change think my CBB'S are spreading any way it is friday night so I think we all deserve a break (I should still read before I post I guess I'm just being really lazy)
I growled at him but he went and rearranged his room in preparation for tomorrow so I don't think he took much notice (sigh...)
Liver function was fine but the 'bad' fats were slightly on the high side.
Iron levels were fine but slightly on the low side. This is scary because I take iron tablets...
Now realising that you were talking about the Depression test last night (sigh, I have been doing this all day).
My score was a moderate level, enough to be referred to a counsellor.
The GP did suggest someone but he only works on a Friday during the day, which doesn't really suit me at all.
So I'll talk to my IVF counsellor about whether she knows anyone. I see her again on the 17th.
Going to log off now - going to watch the end of the TV we've taped and then head off to bed.
Goodnight all!
Well the desk arrived at 6.30am...I had planned to stay up and do some housework but decided to head straight back to bed. I only got up half an hour ago! We've got to be at my brother's place in an hour and I am still in my jammies. Oh well, it's at least around the corner.
sounds fair to me with a 6:30 desk delivery I would be in my jamies still as well:p,
DH did the....... get home and push me over in bed thing, again last night, 3:00am must be getting used to it as he didn't scare the cr@p out of me this time (hope no prospective burgalars are cruising BB or they will know an easy target when they see one....heck I'd probably hold back the covers for them to climb in to bed I'm getting so used to DH's middle of the night antics:rolleyes:)
good to know your test results mean you can push forward to some help honey:dance:
hope you have a great day we are having a lazy day but will have to head off to buy food and a birthday pressie for my nephew we are having his birthday party in hospital tonight (he's OK just needs to have a 2 week course of IV antibiotics.)
talk to you soon sweets
Hi all my other DC lovelies hope all's well with everyone, I will be back soon to catch up with you all but off to spend some time with DH
Blizz,
PMSL about a burglar crawling into bed with you!
Have updated my blog and have written in a few other places so have a read to see how my weeks been...
Actually I am really tired again - I've decided from a very emotion packed week, so may be heading back to bed again soon.
Tarkine,
How you going?
Hi to everyone else too!
:hello: I've never been soo excited in my life waiting for AF to visit. Just humming along, pulled up the vegie garden, will get the manure on there soon.
Blizz... I'm surprised there is any room in the bed with the dog in there.. i have the same problem with two cats - its a race to the bed each night - whoever gets there first claims their space, then the last one (usually DH) has to do with what's left ** insert evil laugh here** he deserves it! going to bed at 6am in the morning!!
Gargy... glad to hear the test came back ok... Good on you for seeing a counsellor.. its nice sometimes just to talk with someone about stuff.
Take care.. love to you all.. yippeee!!! daylight savings is over and we get an extra hour in our weekend!!
Tarkine,
lets hope for the first and only time we say roll on AF, then tell her it's OK to take a holiday for say 9mths at least???? good to hear you have had a productive weekend I have had extreme exhaustion (probably a result of not doing ANYTHING)
we have planned a big weekend for the anzac day long weekend as DH will be off, we are going to make a big start in to cleaning up our backyard (it has been on hold for long enough the time has come to put the ferals that live here ie.US!!!! too work)
have even organised a baby sit for Paige for one whole day so we can crack on and get a lot done hopefully
talk soon Allie xxx
Tarkine,
Sounds like a productive time! Good on you for gracefully waiting. Roll on AF I say too!
Why is DH going to bed at that time? Is he a gamer or is he on shift work (or should I know that already and I am having a blank moment??)
You know, you are right - sometimes it is good just to talk things through. Just need to find someone, that's all.
Blizz,
I have the same exhaustion from doing nothing - so I can relate! I really had to push myself to get a load of washing done - and still have to hang up all the shirts. I've slept a LOT this weekend - but also the sleep has been interrupted (I was up again at 2.30 and watched the time change over). However I still feel a lot better.
DH and I have similar plans for the ANZAC long weekend - he has the Thursday and Friday off beforehand too. Part of me wants to go away, part of me wants to get things done around here, so not sure what will happen.
Actually - strike that - just remembered DH HATES driving back from anywhere on a long weekend, so looks like a organisational time. Ah well, it will be good to have the house in order.
Just waiting for dinner to cook - a roast - and getting the energy to hang the last of these clothes.
But doing a lot better - not feeling the heavy sadness so much, which is a good thing!
Gargy.. how was the roast? DH owns an international software company - all the work is done online and the majority of the clients are in the northern hemisphere, so when they are at work, he should be asleep!! He's also a gamer which I'm sure doesn't help things - although his gamer days are now limited - no more all weekend lan parties for him - too busy working! We are in negotiations about me taking over more of the work - the pay is better than my day job, and it is much more stimulating and challenging work .. and I love a challenge!
Blizz and ya all.. :hello:
Love ya all
:hello:
well AF arrived today.. so the first blood test and the start of the nasal spray starts on the 21st April.. I rang them two weeks ago and we were mooting around the date of AF starting on the 9th - it has never started when I expected it to..and low and behold.. it starts!!
When I rang CFC, they said that I was fortunate enough to ring when I did, another few days and they would not have been able to fit me in this month - apparently a few drs are going away on conferences (or something).
Hope everyone else is travelling well
Yay Tarkine your on your way forward, how exciting!!!!
all is well here DH has headed off on day shift starting tomorrow morning and he will be home Tuesday.
I am starting work at 6:30am for this week and next so have been feeling a bit fatigued of a night and have been heading to bed early.
Feeling fine (a little too fine, starting to worry again) am having a scan on Wednesday next week so fingers crossed that all is ok and it is just my overactive imagination giving me a hard time.
how is everybody else travelling in our little thread?
all well I hope.
had staff meeting Monday night didn't get home till 9:00 and still had to pack for following day and what is worse is that nothing of importance was covered at the meeting it really frustrates me when I give my time and it is wasted on trivial stuff.
Need to have a cook fest this weekend DH is working over the weekend and Paige has taken one look at the chicken mornay for tea and shook her head
(she's been eating the same thing for alternate meals for the last couple of weeks so can't really blame her, Paige had a bowl of Cheerios for tea instead)
well better head off to do my nightly routine I will try to pop back in before I head to bed but I won't be up too late tonight it is way too hard to get moving in the mornings otherwise....I am so NOT a morning person.
Love to all Allie
Excuse me ladies. May I join?
I'm Bat. I've been around here, but as DH & I are about to start our next journey (donor conception) I thought it was time to start fresh.
We've been TTC for 5 1/2yrs (2 1/2 of ICSI). 4 stims & 4 FETs later, we still have no BFP, let alone a live birth. We were planing on doing PGD, but DHs karyotype came back with some bad results. That means we move on to using a donor.
It's exciting, but at the same time nerve racking.
I hope to learn a little about the donor world from you all & hope we can all have our dreams come true.
Bat.
hey batcoat(what a cool user name) you are more than welcome to join our little group, we are few, but we provide great support for each other.
Look forward to chatting to you more, I need to pop out to do my banking for a while and pay some bills so I will pop in later for a chat, If not tonight then definately tomorrow night, Allie
PS how goes AF Tarkine hope she is being kind to you?
Gargy, all ok? haven't heard from you for a little while?
Hi to Allie and everyone else
Welcome Bat. of course you can joint.
Feel free to poistn anything about the donor world here.
Blizz.. can't really blame Paige for turning up her nose at the mornay (although i love it myself). Take care of yourself!
:hello: to everyone else
:loveshower::rofl::woot::hooray: oohhhh how cute I just noticed our new smilies (is it just me or are some not showing up in the listings?
OMG...I am in shock,:( I just had a phone call from my sil to tell me that their house burnt down today, completely down, (this is the same sil who is in hospital at the moment with my nephew with CF), They really seem to have the worst luck around and I am just so devestated for them I really don't know what to say:dunno:.
Welcome Batcoat!
I am planning to be an egg donor in the not too distant future. so far all the recipients in here are sperm donation, but they have taught me a lot about the whole process.
Blizz,
I saw your blog entry on this - OMG - your poor SIL!!
Tarkine,
How's are things going?
Batcoat,
Hi and welcome!
Hey everyone else!
As for me: Very annoyed - I have this horrible cold sore in the ridge between my nose and lip. It comes and goes and I hate the stupid thing.
I've also been having a few issues with DH being sick so much at the moment.
Also my Mum and Dad taking off to do the Grey Nomad thing across the Nullabour and Nan is going to live with her sister for a while. Dad's been nervous and ringing with last minute details.
Had to ring a number of parents today to let them know their children hadn't handed in an assignment, and got ambushed by one. Not impressed.
I'm actually feeling on edge at the moment and I will be glad when the term is over. Last thing I feel like doing is preparing food for this lunch I don't want to go to tomorrow.
Sorry about the vent - I'll catch up with you all later.
Sorry about the tanty everyone - but you'll be glad to know I am feeling a bit better.
Sorry Ali for missing you - I think we posted at the same time!
:hello: blizz.. OMG! far out.. if it doesn't rain it pours!
Gargy.. tanties are welcome.. nothing worse than keeping frustration inside.
This particular thread cracked me up - and I had fun adding more examples...
See what you think!
How many BB members does it take to change a light bulb?
Yay! It worked!!
just popping in quickly before bed have been at my parents place cooking tea for my brother and his family and have just got back, good to know...my brother and his family are FULLY insured (a big relief for me, I'll be honest and say that I had doubts)
place is totally destroyed saw some pictures tonight luckily my sil called me last night as it was plastered all over the cover of our local paper this morning.
All are safe and well and my nephew got out of hospital this afternoon, actually he and Paige have been having the "NO!..MINE!!) war tonight.
Both their kids are doing well and seem to understand what has happened, the oldest drew a picture for his aunty of his house(to put in his new house) it was a typical square box house with triangle roof coloured completely in jaggered red pencil lines???(he's 4)
Well I am going to toddle off to bed am completely exhausted will be popping up to see my family again over the next couple of days will check in with BB a little later on
Hey everyone,
Feeling a lot better tonight - starting to calm down!
Have been fiddling around with my signature - was going to put 'azospermia' in there but I thought that it would cause too many questions.
I like the new emoticon!
Blizz,
So glad that your brother and SIL were insured. And glad to know that their son is returning back to normal - 'no! mine!' fights are so fun aren't they?
Tarkine,
Come on the 21st!
Batcoat,
How are you going?
Ali,
:hello:
Hey everyone else!
down to a week to go. Am trying not to get too excited and remain detached.. but it is hard. Am starting to get cold feet about having children - funny isn't it.. if I found out I was pregnant by accident it would be fine, but the whole technical intervention has made me really think about the entire thing.
:hello: to everyone, lots of love and hugs to ya all
So Tarkine have you gnawed off your fingernails yet? :p
Seriously, I know how horrible that wait is, especially when all the thoughts, including 'why am I doing this' go through your head.
Thinking of you.
Hey Blizz,
Haven't heard from you in a while, hope things are going ok...
As for me, had a quiet day - slept in late. Then tried to organise some tradies to come to the house. I have someone to clean the gutters, as long as it doesn't rain on Friday.
Having less luck with getting a window repaired - it's behind a metal screen that's been welded in, so the company I contacted is 'getting back to me'. It's only 1/2 a window though - and a sash (?) window (goes up and down, rather than across) so I didn't think it would be that difficult. Anyway, something to chase for tomorrow...
Actually I'm looking forward to the gathering - should be good to see people from BB again!
Hi all,
I am fine just been a little quiet due to working the 6:30 start roster at work (I am so not a morning person and have been going to bed really early as I am just tired all the time), Had a big weekend at my parents place with my brother and his family, I am having two days off now Wednesday and Thursday have scan tomorrow at 4:30 and doctor's appointment on Thursday, only have Friday to work before the weekend so I think I can manage that.
DH came home this arvo we just went for a drive to see the house (or what is left off it) and had maccas for tea, Paige discovered our thickshakes(one chocolate and one strawberry) and wouldn't give them back kept trying one and then the other so here's hoping she wont wake up during the night with a tummy ache!!!
Had a bit of a win last night, last year we took my 4 year old nephew to see the Monster truck show in Latrobe last year, we brought him a hat for one of the trucks 'Monster Patrol' and a program and he's been very attatched to these and of course he lost them in the fire so I contacted the Australian Monster truck association to see about getting him some replacement items and I got a response back last night to say that they are coming back to Tassy in November and the guy who answered me would really like to take my nephew for a ride in his Monster truck 'Outback Thunder' my nephew will be so excited:excited: so I will try to get it organised for him as a suprise.
nothing much else to report think I might head to bed and watch telly for a while just feeling soooooooooooooooo tired all the time.
love to you all sending you a:loveshower:
Allie.B xxxxx
Hey Blizz,
That's really nice of the Monster Truck driver to offer this special treat for your nephew - well done to them (and you for organising it!)
I agree that early mornings are not fun!
How cute with Paige helping herself to your thickshakes!
Have fun lounging in front of the tv.
Hey Tarkine,
How are you going?
Hi everyone else!
As for me - spent some time with some Sydney members of BB. It was great to catch up and have a chat with everyone. I got to hold two special babies - it was so nice having a little one gnawing on your fingers (Abbey - Trish's girl - was teething).
Shame about the weather (it was cold and rainy) but we had a good time.
A little sad coming back to an empty house, but I called DH and had a chat about it all.
I also went and had a read, a nap, and got going again.
Thinking of having a shopping day by myself tomorrow - see how I go...
Ohh blizz... monster trucks are cool (oops am I a bit old to be admitting that??) Just goes to show that there are some great people in the world...
Please keep us informed of the scans etc.. very excited about being a cyber aunty (auntx8, great auntx3).
Gargy.. difficult coming home to an empty house... :hugs:
:hello: everyone else....
..waiting...waiting...waiting...
