How are all my lovely DC ladies tonight?
I am again exhausted, seems to be a constant for me now so I may just have to adjust but I have started getting a couple of coldsores which is a sure sign that I am a tad run down will head to the pharmasist tomorrow DH will be home tomorrow arvo so YAY, here's hoping for a little rest and relaxation over the weekend.

However, I have less work than I thought I would so I might have a relaxing weekend after all!

Gargy, yes we are doing IVF - at $600 a straw for DS it's a bit too expensive and a lot too hit and miss to be doing the other way.

I have my EPU at 2pm on Monday - the numbers on the right hand side had dropped to 4 and the left hand side had increased in numbers - trigger injection is at 1.30am on sunday morning - I think DH will just have to roll me over when I'm asleep and jab me with the needle :)..

finally feel like we are moving forward to the part where we find out how well I've gone on the IVF. DH came in today when I had the internal ultrasound and he sat there tracking the size of the ovaries - ahh he's such a sweetie.

Woo-Hoo Tarkine wishing you the best of luck for Monday, Make sure you take the day(preferably two) off after egg harvest and rest up to make sure that your body will be totally ready and waiting for your sticky little bubby(are you going for one or two?) we only went one I was scared of the twin scenario sending lots of positive grow well vibes to your follies and subesquent embies and will send you some sticky vibes now :stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy:and will pop back in soon to shower you with some more.....OOOOHHHH I am excited for you hon!!!!:hooray:

I have started the Pill! Yay I am on my way....Had a rocky start as i FORGOT to take the first one as had a big night out, but popped it the next morning and hope all should be fine. I think we are going to book flights this week for Emma and kids down to Melbourne as she and our nurse have discussed EPU dates. OMG it is seeming so real now :excited:

Blizz.. the plan from the FS is that one gets put back at this stage.. I think we will just wait and see where things go.. DH and I have discussed the propect of having multiples and we would just be happy to have as many as happens (remind me I said this if we have more than one bubs).

I told my supervisor that I may or may not be in on tuesday and wouldn't know until tuesday morning - she was as excited as I was about the EPU (because she was aware of the terrible time I was havingwith the drugs).

Lulu, gargy & Dusty thanks for the good wishes for monday.. I'm trying to stay relaxed and not get too worked up or excited (which is my nature).. just kicking back and letting things happen (well that's the theory anyway)

:hello: got 5 eggs and apparently good quality - bit disappointed that DH had to ring them afterwards to findout howmany eggs we got. they said that I had a low estrogen numbers so they weren't expecting many eggs. Will ring at 11.30 tomorrow to see how they are going

HI DUSTY!!!!!!! I don't know what I will say about excess embies, i guess it would have to be similar conditions to the family i donate to for me to be comfortable with it iykwim. But I would hope that the people I donated to would keep any remaining embies so that they can give their bub a sibling that is totally biological, for their sake. Just like I would only do known donattion in case of any health problems down the track that required tissue or organ donation so that it would be easier to find a donor for the child.

Blizz, hope the glowing is happnening and the tiredness is easing for you. that is the hardest part of pg, the absolutely no energy.

hi ali, sounds like you have been busy. thanks for the welcome and for suggesting i pop in here. thanks for giving me your perspective on excess embies. i hadn't thought of the whole health implications before. something to add to my chats with Em. hey hun, i just noticed your ticker - are you starting a bit earlier than planned for number 3???

:dance: looks like the last obstacle has been cleared for Em and I and we are booking flights for her this week. the nurse was a bit concerned as Em only finished BFing a couple of months ago and we haven't checked her prolactin levels but it shouldn't impact on our cycle. apparently you can donate even while still BFing.

Not sure yet, DH is going full time in the army so he might be o/s in january. we are trying to get in tune with my cycle so that we know when the best time to try is. I am quite shocked, my last luteal phase was only 9 days and i thought it would have been heaps longer. we are trying to work out my pattern properly before we do too much.

As for me - just came in to tell everyone that for once I had a REALLY GREAT DAY!! Nothing spectacular - just woke up in a good mood, did something for myself which was to write out a job specification on what I will and won't do (very empowering!), the girl I have all sorts of issues with stayed at home today and finally I went grocery shopping and got home early. Yay for me!

Great news Tarkine...hope the fertilisation goes well tonight...

4 fertilised and I have to ring this morning to find out how they are going. When I spoke with the clinic yesterday they hinted that I might have them transferred sooner than saturday (blastie stage) depending if they are fragmenting (so I'm sitting on egg shells at the moment). ..
sorry am cross posting, have been trying to keep my emotions under control but they are getting the better of me at the moment... and DH has gone interstate for three days...

wow tarkine, 4 out of 5 is great! you would get a HD for that result on an exam...
i can imagine your nervousness and emotions right now. they will track your embies progress and an earlier ET is still a great outcome. lots and lots of IVF babies were day 2/3 ET.
sorry DH is out of town again. will have to have a word with him about that. we are here for you hun. in fact if you wanted to catch up after work today for a coffee i am around.

yay Tarkine, amazing result...if it makes you feel any better I had to travel to and from my last FET by myself as DH couldn't get leave either and it worked out OK, bit weird getting PG when DH is at the other end of the state though;), HEE, HEE, good luck honey you'll be fine

good news - have got 3x8 cell embies and 1x6 cell embie (with more fragments) so transfer is going to be saturday when they reach blastie stage... will keep praying for the little ones to keep going

Hi all, I am still battling extreme fatigue have had such a busy week and what with this head cold and Paige being sick as well I am just totally OVER IT!!!!!
my SIL and her family have offered to take Paige for two days of the weekend I might agree to Sunday and might have some catch up sleep and possibly even take in a movie,

DH starts back on day shift tomorrow for five days so I will try to be around a bit more once I've caught up on sleep.

we have our big scan next friday am starting to get excited and a little nervous (I seem to be panicing a lot more this PG don't really know why)

blizz. well you got it right about it being a cold day today here in canberra. The FS was in fine form this morning, the embryologist, nurse and FS were joking around and I spent most of the time, legs in stirrups and laughing!!

Trying not to think too much about it.. been disappointed so many times in my life, I really don't think I could handle breaking my heart one more time. :(
