QLD was great. Lots of sun and warm weather. Yay! Now I am asking myself why on earth I came back to Sydney.

Blizz, I didn't see any whales but the sharks and dolphins at Seaworld were great. :)

Tarkine, thanks, yes we had a great time in QLD. Also glad to hear that you appreciate the generosity of your donor.

Gargy, no offence was taken regarding your interrogative questions. I am happy to answer general questions in this public forum, but I prefer to answer personal questions via email or a private forum. It is not that I do not wish to answer personal questions but more that this is a public forum and thus quite literally anyone can read what we write. In any case, if you ask me a question then I'll answer as best I can. From my point of view, I am interested in finding out the thoughts and experiences of recipient families in their journey to have a family.

Bubba has a nearly completed possy (will post a picture when I have finished it completely if I am brave enough) DH built me a small storage cupboard so we now have some where to put bubbas things

Have been to a friends baby shower today which was fun


VERY UNCOMFORTABLE HERE!!!!!! glad to be on the count down finallly.

DD broke her uncles nose playing 'stacks on' with her cousins, she fell forward and hit the bridge of his nose with her front teeth taking a fair gash out of it, he later informed me that it was broken it was such a hard hit I thought she may have broken her teeth but no uncle came out worst for ware.
I felt a little bad that I had insisted that he let DD put a captin feathersword band aid on his nose because she was feeling bad about it (probably hurt a fair bit)

will catch up more tomorrow night DH goes back on to night shift.
he is sooooo going to be at work when I go in to labour isn't he?????

evening all,
feeling a little lost and lonely DH has started back on night shift tonight Paige has gone to bed early so I am at a bit of a loose end.
Rang my brother and his family to come down for tea but they had other plans then rang mum and dad and they were too busy too and will come to tea on Tuesday instead so I am having my own hormonal pity party at the moment but that's OK as I really should have an earlyish night as I haven't been sleeping very well and I guess I am about to be sleeping a whole lot less shortly.
Just hoping that my labour won't reduce by too much time as DD was 8 hours from woe to go and we have DH's sister driving through from Hobart (about 3-4 hours away) at a moments notice and DH will take about an hour to get out from underground and 2 hours driving to get home to me.
Anything could happen at this stage I guess I have stand in's organised in the mean time so I won't be doing it alone at any point.


Gargy yowie on the Puregon - hope you don't bruise yourself like I did with it.
Paige will send you a captin feathersword bandaid for your ouchies if you like (like the one we stuck over my poor brothers broken nose!!!)

I should have :readfaq: beforehand but luckily I checked my cycle sheet and last night was my last Pill after almost 6 weeks on the active ingredient. AF has been breaking through for weeks now. So annoying, can't wait to get her proper and get rid of her.

At home with a tummy bug today. So am going to read in bed and rest up.

Sorry hon no signs of arrival any time soon so aunty Tarkine will have to cool her heels:lol: got a feeling we're headed in to the november birth dates, although I thought halloween would make a cool birthdate so I haven't lost hope yet!!!!

well we had rissoles and vegies for tea fed mum, dad Paige and myself it's sooo much nicer cooking for a few people rather than just the 2 of us (well 1.5 if you go off how much Paige eats!!!)
Can't help wishing that mum would come down and cook for me or help me to clean house, or go baby shopping it's funny how much I miss this but it isn't to be not for me with Paige or with this bubba.
she can't help it and I don't resent her for it anywhere as much as I did with Paige, now we know that it is a mental condition connected with dimensia and not just mum being self centered.
At least I know that they have both had a good healthy meal as I am afraid mum has lost touch a little with the appropriate times for storing foods and I am scared to think of what meals they have been eating,( they sat down to ham and cheese toasties made with 3 week old ham!!! ands mum ate hers just to spite everyone saying "there's nothing wrong with it it's beautiful..."but she'd served them uo to my brother, his two children(including the one with CF) and dad.
I even snuck three doggy bag meals home with dad tonight under the guise that "I just couldn't fit them in my freezer and would hate to see them go to waste"

I was nearly crashed in too this afternoon I was sitting at an intersection at a red light when this white 4 wheel drivey thing did a dukes of hazzard around the corner and there was literally nothing I could do to avoid it with out putting myself and others at furthur risk...He managed to make it around the corner JUST!!!!!!( I had braced myself for impact and was trying to reach around to paige It is a horrible feeling to be so powerless....all I could think of were my babies, we have just moved Paiges car seat behind the drivers seat so he would have slid straight in to Paige , me and Bubba, I sat at the intersection for about a minute trying to compose myself and restart my heart...Paige kept asking "what's the matter mumma?" over and over again
wouldn't have been at all suprised for my contractions to start immediately as I was sooooo freaked out....but we are all OK just a little shocked and shaken.
well I should go and right the chaos in the kitchen but I am thinking that I may watch a little telly and toddle off to bed instead

Good thing I didn't put a wager on bubs being born on my birthday (30th).. although there is still time.. C'mon Angus - 30/10/08 is a good day to be born!!

How was Blizz - well Blizz had just finished giving birth!!!

Angus Ezra was born at 9.48pm weighing 9 lbs 2 ounces, 53 cm long, 5 hour labour.

Hey everyone,

Just a quick catch up - I had a blood test this morning, the clinic rang up at 3pm and said that I needed to come in and get a pregnyl injection. So I raced over there and got there before the clinic closed.

Apparently my LH levels are not what they should be so they want me to take another 2 injections over the next 6 days.

Ultrasound and BT again on Monday.

Just a tip for the Pregnyl Gargy - when you inject - do it really slowly or it burns so badly. If you go reallllly slow - it's fine.

Gargy, hang in there hun. I agree with MM but while you squeeze the injection slowly you need to jab it in quickly at the start as it is a bit harder than the pens to get through the skin. Pushing just hurts more than a jab IMO.

Hi all just letting you all know that Angus and I are home and are desperately awaiting the return of a very muched missed princess Paige from her Aunt, Uncles and Cousins.
We are just settling in and I will be in soon to tell all and post pictures of my amazing little man who is doing extremely well, thanks for all of your well wishes

Sorry I have been MIA for so long (didn't realise it's been about a month since my last post!)

Firstly CONGRATULATIONS Blizz!! Well done hun... checked out the photo's... Angus is sooo cute!!! Hope you are all doing well!! Blizz I also wanted to say Thank You for sharing your embie transfer story with me (when I was really down a while ago!!) It really helped lift my spirits and gave me lots of hope..... THANK YOU!!!! :hug:

Tarkine - How is the pregnancy going? Are you getting a big belly? Hope all is going well for you. Happy Belated Birthday to you!!!

Gargy - Where are you up to in the IVF cycle? Do you know when your egg collection will be? Hope you are coping with it all ok. I got a little tired with the injections. I was on them for about 18 days as I wasn't stimulating very well... luckily we got there in the end though!!

Well as for me we had our appointment with FS on Monday... Just waiting for AF to arrive (which should be any day now!) then I start a 'Low Dose Stimulation Cycle' - I am still getting used to all the terminology with IVF!! So basically I start Gonal F on day 3 of my cycle, continue this up until my trigger and then the transfer will be 5-7 days after. Am happy that we are getting on with the next step! I have still been doing acupuncture every week and has helped me keep calm and be more relaxed.

Lieve - Great news about DH's sperm!! When will you be starting your IVF cycle? Hope all goes well for you!!!

31/10, tonight and Thursday - Pregnyl
Trigger ???

The nurse was hinting that I would probably go either Wednesday or Friday - however I am in for another blood test/ultrasound on Wednesday morning so I am guessing it will probably be Friday for EPU.

Blood test and ultrasound this morning - ultrasound showed about 8 follicles on the left ovary and 6 on the right- so we will see what happens by Friday.

Ovaries are definitely feeling uncomfortable!

Hope that AF turns up for you soon.

Gargy the folicles sound good - although I think they are more concerned with the size - they tend to go for the most numbers at about 18-20mm (from memory).. at a growth rate of 2mm a day, it gives you some indication of how long til trigger.

Joy - I'm getting bigger every day and loving it!! - everyone keeps telling me how good I look and I've had a dream pregnancy to date (knock on wood) - apart from my shoulders - and not having slept through the night for 6mths).. But none of that matters - I feel very blessed and honoured that I'm pregnant, and curse the aches and pain and in the same breath thank the universe/god/whoever is there to listen, that I'm pregnant and things are going well!

Thanks for that - well from what I remember this morning she only found about 5 that she took pictures of that were about 10mm or more. So some growing to do yet (that's if I heard correctly...)

Well we are just amazed and a little convinced that somebody upstairs is playing tricks with us.....I swear Paige is as blonde as they come with blue eyes but Angus is the spitting image of his father....including jet black hair!!!!! infact we have already had family members convinced that one of DH's little soldiers must have defied the odds and snuck throught to the keeper (didn't have the heart to say that it is not even a remote posibility as DH has silicone testes:lol:) but It is just uncanny, reckon his mum and dad have been messing about up in heaven just for a giggle and sent us the reincarnation of DH's dad???????
Well Angus is amazing he is soooo hungry and is a definate booby boy great to see these huge boobs of mine are finally useful for something other than getting in the way and making it hard to buy clothes
he was really kind and slept 4hrs (feed) 3hrs(feed) 3hrs(feed)waking at 8am....best night sleep I have had in ages absolutely amazing not getting to excited though but it was nice and I feel like a new woman because of a little sleep.
Oh well the little man is awake and wants the booby so be back later

I checked out the screen this morning and there were follicles ranging from 12mm to 31mm :o

I have about 20 that are ready to go - looks like it will be Friday.

And if I thought Monday was uncomfortable - today was worse! My right ovary decided to go into hiding which made finding the follicles quite difficult.

:hug:oh hon, I too had a hiding ovary it makes for many uncomfortable internal scans I found it easier to tell the person scanning me that I have an ovary that is hard to find and it is best found this way!!!! (believe me you'll be an expert by the time your finished) it does also get really uncomfortable close to harvest time yay for Friday how exciting...I'll be thinking of you
