Red face effects of crinone or is this it?

    Dear all,

I have been searching the web to see if what I am feeling is any indication of pregnancy (dare i say it). This is our second cycle and I am on Crinone twice a day. Having had day 5 blast popped in, on day 6 started feeling quite crampy thought a good sign) and day 7 little nauseous as well. Then all went away. Now I am nauseous again (day 8). Does anyone know if Crinone has a cumulative effect or can the symptoms come and go? Dont know what is going on.

With my first child (natural conception) I had almost no nausea so this feels a bit different.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks Nicky

crinone doesn't have a cummulative effect - it tends to "wear off" over the course of the day, hence you having two of the awful things each day! it is possible that what you're feeling is a result of the crinone as, unfortunately, the hormones crinone forces into your body essentially trick your body into believing it is pregnant - so you get a lot of the same feelings.

having said that - there is no reason that it couldn't be the real deal - here's hoping it is!

nicky - even in early pregnancy things come and go - and going through the journey you're going through with assisted conception, it makes it so much harder! you have drugs pumped into you, your emotions are high, and you over analyse everything (or is that just me??)

our last cycle, the one in which we landed a sticky pregnancy, my "symptoms" came and went for the whole first tri (hell, who am i kidding - they still come and go!). everytime i felt ill or pain, i'd feel so down about how we'd been through such a traumatic journey, why couldn't we have an easy pregnancy - then as soon as i had a day where i felt ok, i'd panic! there is no winning - you will notice so much because you're so aware of what is happening with your body. simple things like what you've eaten in the previous day can make the difference between whether you feel fine, or feel mega queasy - and different days it will be different foods!

good luck - jan 2 is a long way off, but once you're 14dpo, you could always use a HPT...
