I'm quite new to ebay and was wondering do you usually get an email from sellers saying they have sent your item once they have posted it? I usually only purchase off people with online stores and they always send a friendly email saying they have sent my item.
Not all sellers do let you know when the item is sent. I usually send them an email asking what date it was sent so I can keep on eye out in the post, and always so I know how long it took for them to send it.
I always try to send a message to the buyer when I post their item so that they know when to expect it in the mail. But I know from my buying that not all sellers do this. As Jodi says, don't hesitate to ask them for details so you can watch for delivery.
When I make payment I always ask them to please email when payment has cleared and the item has been posted.. 90% of sellers have emailed me and let me know
(ask them what date it was sent so yep you get an idea when it will arrive ... yeh, don't always expect a courteous email from a Seller to let you know when it was posted)
I as a Seller on eBay & OZtion always let my Buyer know on the day I have posted it
I was hesitant about emailing them before this post as I didn't know if it would come across a little rude or inpatient, but it make sense to, especially that I live out of town and waiting for two parcels from different sellers.
