Hi everyone! I'm not sure if this thread will get noticed, not many people frequent this section!
My sister last night pointed out an eBay listing with a photo that has been taken from my website (I have an online store). It is a photo I have taken myself and has my website address stamped across the bottom of the photo, so it's REALLY obvious LOL! I did not give permission for my photo to be used and am quite annoyed.
I reported the listing to eBay and they sent me a cut & paste reply this morning saying:
Grrrr....Unfortunately, I am only able to take action if the owner of the images or text writes to us.It's obvious that they didn't take the time to read my message. I have replied to them, but don't like my chances of being responded to before the listing ends in 2 days time. I spoke to Live Help and they said I need to reply to the email
.
So...I'm in two minds about contacting the eBay member myself and asking them to take the image off. DH says I shouldn't because they may get annoyed and try to do something stupid through my site (like order heaps of items without paying, etc...).
Maybe I'm being petty, but I really don't appreciate people ripping off my photos that I take a lot of time and effort to create.
So, do you think I should contact the seller myself or just leave it and hope that eBay remove the image?
TIA![]()
