Q about Paypal and 'payment pending'

I won an item on ebay yesterday, and went through paypal about 10 minutes after it ended. I used my credit card linked to the account, and it is coming up in my history as 'payment pending'
I just re checked it, and it says that the funds have cleared from my end, and that the payment status is 'unclaimed'.
I've never had this before. Should I leave it another day or so, or should I contact the seller? Anyone know what it all means?

hi i had the same problem except mine was linked to my bank account. IT came out of my account almost staight away but took a few days to appear in the seller's account. HTH

ive had it happen when the sellers email details with paypal were incorrect. keep an eye on it as i the end the seller couldnt get the payment & it took a month of constant emails to paypal for me to recover my money. Hope this is not the case for you.

yes, i've had it happen when the seller's details with paypal were incorrect, same as morgan.
i suggest you cancel the payment with paypal, and repay them directly.

Thanks morgan and gracie. It does seem that the money has left my account, but is saying payment is unclaimed. I've just emailed the seller, so hopefully I'll get a reply from her soon with a bit of luck.

Just thought I would update with what happened. I emailed the seller explaining the payment had left my account, but was saying it was unclaimed, and she emailed me back saying she is new to using paypal and had to go in to 'claim' the money and my item would be sent the next day and apologised. So it's all good thankfully!
