Sometimes the kids run off, the parents are not always complicit in the wandering around of their kids.:
I have recently had to do three laps of coles (the whole store) to find ds1 then catch up to him once I did.
He's 5 it's not like I can put him in the trolley
^ Wow - sounds like you might have an athlete on your hands! What I mean is the ones who let their kids like run around them in circles, or run around the kiosks like wild things, or laugh and think its cute when their kids run into other people instead of apologising - there are SO many of them here its mental. When compared to your situation, the difference is easy to spot! If I can see the effort is being made to try and control the child, it doesn't bother me, but parents who appear to refuse to actually parent...grrrrrrrr.

Oh yeah! I do the matching washing (socks) together and same colour pegs too. Plus, when they go on the airer or line and DH has done it, I 'fix' his efforts by rearranging to the best use of space & no clothes from separate lines touching etc... (he doesn't know this though ;) ) lol

I thought of another one - The linen cupboard, all like colours have to be together and towels must be folder in half lengthways, then in three, and be stored with the folded side facing out so it looks neater...my aunt, and 2 cousins do it too, I think its genetic!
Mine is probably really strange.
I hate mis-matched cutlery and crockery :redface: I even have to have matching glasses. I hate looking in a drawer or cupboard and seeing bits of this and that floating around. I have a set of old bits n bobs I use for camping, this morning I went to the cutlery drawer and found someone had put them all in there. It did my head in!

I realised this morning another of mine is I can't let the microwave finish - I always have to stop it with 1-2 seconds to go. It's the same with my clock radio alarm - I wake before the set time and have to turn it off.
I can cope with cleverly mis-matched bot NOT bits of old sets all put together. YES there is a difference! :rofl::

I thought I was the only poophobic person lol. I used to have a 'thing' where I was even phobic of DP's pooing! A couple of times during our relationship we've lived in a place with only 1 toilet, and had to share. The first time I had to go into the toilet after he'd um, done his thing I was all worried about what to do. I mean, do I acknowledge the stink? LOL. I didn't know whether to pretend I didn't notice, or what. Luckily we're back to 2 toilets so it's just an unspoken rule that we use our own when it comes to number 2's.:

Overuse of staples. I used to work in an office where I had to scan massive amounts of paperwork, (think a pile half a metre high and you're getting close) and it drove me crazy when people would staple the heck out of their documents. I dropped a few F bombs trying to remove 5 and 6 overlapping, crinkled up, poorly used heavy duty staples more than a couple of times, LOL
Having to put empty beer bottles in the recycling bin, which is no more than 10 steps from the kitchen bench. No darling, they don't belong on the bench when you're finished. I'm pretty sure I mentioned this a few times over the last 4 years.

Forshelby: oooh my DH is the same with beer bottles! Or jars that need washing. I empty a Dolmio jar while cooking & put it in the pile to be washed so it's clean for the recycling bin, but he never washes it! Just leaves it. Same for Coke bottles, beer bottles etc..
Pandora, my microwave thing is the opposite... I have to stand and wait for it to beep. But then I quickly have to open the door to cut the beep short, lol!

Having said that, I can relate to many of the things mentioned.
I too can't stay in my pyjamas all day, even when on holidays. I have to get dressed in the morning.
Also, I can't go to sleep without showering first. On the few occassions when I've been too tired to shower and fallen asleep, I've woken up in the middle of the night and HAD to have a shower before I could fall asleep again.
Another uptight thing I have is that I can't stand people walking at the same speed as me (on the street, in shopping centres, etc). When someone walks at the same speed I either slow down or speed up to change the distance between us. I don't know why it bothers me so much...
I just realised another one of these things that I do the other day - the toilet paper and paper towels HAVE to be plain. No patterns. I don't even know why, but I'll even buy the more expensive brand if it means it doesn't have a pattern on it.

Wow! I am far too lazy to be OC about most of these things!
My only really major one is again the poo thing - I find it embarassing to have to poo where others will know it was you that did it - like at work where there are only a handful of us who use the same loo.
In public toilets, I couldn't care less.
Heheheheheh, we're lucky at work - there's one extra loo that's tucked off in the emergency stairwell. It's commonly known on our floor as the "poo toilet" because well, it's where most of us nick off to go do #2's if we should need to do so at work. It's also come in handy for my other little dislike - puking in public. There is simply no way you can disguise the sound and you definitely can't look graceful whilst in the midst of heaving up whatever my pregnant stomach has decided it doesn't like!
There are toilets all over my work building (it used to be a residential deaf school) but when I need to go #2, I walk all the way from one side of the building to the other cause those toilets are more tucked away. It's a long way cause it's a U-shaped building and I literally walk from one tip of the U to the other, lol

I'm with you all on the poo thing. It's really annoying but I just can't get over it.
Pegs. I bought breast cancer pink pegs so they're all pink and that makes me happy. But I needed to buy more and can't find them anywhere. Had to buy normal colored ones and the pink is different. I dealt with it but I'm not happy. Each garment has the same colour pegs someone mentioned about matching the faded ones. Yes! I too have a whole set of guidelines about washing (peg use, hanging procedure and type, colours and whites, folding)
Dishes; I have guidelines too. They need to be washed in a particular order. Funnily enough DH is anal about dishwasher stacking but I couldn't care less.
Toilet paper; MUST be plain white. CANNOT stand colored or patterned paper or tissues. Again though don't care if it's under or over but DH does. Lol.
Numbers; I prefer even numbers, or multiples of 5. I couldn't get married on a "wrong" numbered day lol. The 16th was perfect. I'm a bit uncomfortable with Bub's EDD being the 9th but hopefully he/she is born on a nice number. I set my alarms for odd times though, like 7:23 or something.
I like symmetry and matching things. I played a game with kids at school and there were 10 hula hoops. Only 7 were matching. The others were different in thickness and colour. This made me very unhappy lol. I had to try not to look at them when they were lined up.
These are my long term standard "things". I have lots of other little things but at the moment being in the first trimester I have to say most things pee me off regularly lol!

Both my due dates were un even numbers and I was not to happy either. The 13th and the 5th. DD1 came on the 20th :) DD2 labour started on the 13th and I remember thinking 'oh no!' Luckily she took her time and arrived in the early hours of the 14th :). So your not alone in not liking a due date number.
